Dishes are contemporary, offering an excellent cross section of different styles and tastes to suit every occasion, appetite and palate. As you might expect, seafood is a prominent feature of our menus.
From a romantic meal, formal celebration or business lunch to a quick, mouth-watering light bite, our food is prepared using the freshest and finest ingredients available to us by a kitchen team who have worked together for a number of years. .
Prepared with the same zeal our wine list is extensive, aiming to perfectly complement our food.
Food was delicious, not piping hot though hence the 4 stars. Lovely atmosphere to the restaurant & will definitely be back
Lovely dinner for my parents anniversary. Portions were larger than expected, very pleased with the quality of the meals. Very polite staff.
Very nice food and excellent scenery , staff were very helpful!
Delicious would prefer a wind A seat next time but other than that was great!
Had a fantastic night celebrating a birthday. Food, drinks, atmosphere and staff were all amazing - we will definitely be returning soon!
First time here, having just moved to the area. We came for lunch on our anniversary and both remarked how happy we are to have found somewhere so good so quickly. We will definitely be back.
Great views and atmosphere
Bought my husband here yesterday morning for his breakfast as it was his birthday When we arrived and seated at our table which hand a beautiful view the waiter arrived at our table with a glass of champagne for my husband I though this was a lovely gesture from yourself. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. Would definitely be recommend yourself to friends and family and will be returning to yourself. Thanks very much
I had a lovely meal with my mum. We had crab linguine and smoked haddock, really really nice. Lovely atmosphere and good service. What a treat.
Lovely food service and restaurant. A very difficult visit for us as we were there for a meal for my mum who had died 3 days earlier and it was also my birthday.my sister in law had come with me and she was upset as it was first time she had been back since she had lost her father who also had enjoyed meals there. We were asked if our visit was for anything special and I explained. We were not hassled or fussed over but allowed the space we wanted to have our thoughts and our lunch in peace. Thank you.
Setting, service, atmosphere and food was perfection. Thank you, we will return.
Overall an enjoyable night with very good service , will definitely be back.
Great food and service. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely time - thank you all SO much for making my birthday a delightful experience. We hope to be back very soon. Best wishes Ruth Forbes
Food is always exceptional, staff are very friendly and professional!
Two of our party chose the ' fish soup ' both felt it was totally lacking in flavour with absolutely no fish. This was particularly dissspointing since Samphire is specifically a seafood restaurant. The Sunday roast however was very tasty.
Enjoyed the meal and the amazing views of the rail bridge.
A great Sunday lunch with our son and daughter in law.
A slightly disappointing experience tbh. I had booked a table for my 50th birthday lunch with my pals and was told I would have fab views of the bridges. Not entirely true plus we were positioned in the main thoroughfare for the neighbouring wedding party to get out to the balcony for a smoke so for a full hour we were knocked into and harassed, sometimes aggressively, by the wedding guests. (That said, when we went out a very lovely lady (wedding guest) took our picture.) The manager tried to say I would have been warned about this - as if I would have accepted this situation....why wasn't the round table moved in front of the main window with casual tables for 2 placed in front of the only balcony exit? We were given a bottle of Prosecco but to be honest I don't like it so this wasn't much of an apology in my eyes. Why not cover one of the bottles of wine we had instead? Food was ok but we were seated for over an hour before we got food and my béarnaise sauce was cold (maybe that was meant) but I couldn't bear waiting any longer. Our waitresses were both very lovely and tied so hard to stop the guests but had no sway with them.
Once more an absolutely fantastic night had by all. The venue is in the perfect location, the staff are all excellent, and the food is superb. Cant fault the place. Well done!!
The booth we were in was opposite the bar which was very busy and noisy. People passing were very close to us and bumped into us a couple of times. Was described in the confirmation email as intimate. Anything but!!! The service was not very good at all. After our sweets we weren’t even offered coffee. At that point we just paid and left. I think the food was overpriced for what it was and the side dish of potatoes were quite obviously reheated and over salted. Altogether not a very satisfactory experience and one we won’t choose to repeat in the future!!
Great food and service. If only we had a window seat like requested :/
Thank you for a wonderful evening, the staff, food and setting were perfect.
When making my booking I provided some specific notes to the restaurant, explaining I'd be dining with my Dad who will be in a wheelchair, and Jenni promptly got back to me, enquiring about any specific requirements regarding table allocations and seating that would make our visit most comfortable. This was really kind and conscientious. However, when we got to the restaurant, despite booking a specific time, we had to wait ten minutes for a table. Bit strange, but no real problem. It was weirder that the staff seemed kind of surprised that we were there; odd considering Jenni had received my booking and had indicated that she would allocate us a table on the edge of the restaurant which would be suitable for my Dad and his chair. It was just awkward when we arrived that we weren't allocated a table and we then had to decide on the spot where would be best for me and my Dad. It might sound a bit pedantic, but I just wanted my Dad to be happy, and having to wade through a busy restaurant with a big wheelchair just made him feel really self-conscious and I was just absolutely saddened by the lack of thoughtfulness. I'm guessing something got lost in handover or the host that night hadn't read the notes on our booking. I'm honestly only writing this as a bit of constructive criticism, as I wouldn't like another disabled guest to feel this way. Otherwise, our waitress (whose name I'm really sorry, I can't remember) was absolute lovely and the food was nice.
