About Sabai Sabai Birmingham
First opened Sabai Sabai as a small, cosy, family-run Thai restaurant in Moseley 10 years ago. Proving a real hit with the locals they opened the Harborne restaurant, oozing a subtle eastern sophistication with carved wooden benches and low inviting lighting. Mastering contemporary chic and bringing a taste of Thailand to Birmingham.
It was a lovely meal celebrating a dear friend's birthday. We had a delicious meal and a fabulous evening. I also took a slice of cake to be brought out after our Mains and they were so kind to even light 2 candles. Wonderful food and staff. We will definitely return to Sabai Sabai, very soon.
Quality 2 course meal
First time dining with you as usually visit harborne restaurant. As usual perfect will definitely be returning and recommending you to friends.
Delicious food, very helpful staff, lovely evening.
Was a great night
Excellent service, brilliant and quick service of food, great environment for a dinner setting. Was not disappointed with one of my favourite Thai dishes. Will be returning!
Staff were too busy to give a proper service
Great service and delicious food
Food and service was great 👍.. situated in a lively part of Birmingham, a little too loud for us as a couple but we made the most of it anyway .. felt like I was a little close to the next tables either side but the food and service made up for that. 5 stars 🌟
Service was a little slow and uninformative. After waiting 5 minutes to order a drink I ended up standing up and calling the waiter. Food was good and atmosphere was great!
Excellent food ,atmosphere and service top notch 👍👍
Turn music down slightly
Great food and great service. Very good experience with pre-booking
Big sisters birthday treat and we had a fabulous time, we sat for ages after our meal just chatting and not once were we made to feel that we should be vacating the table. The food was wonderful and lots of it , service was efficient and polite altogether a delightful experience which I would be happy to repeat.
Had a lovely evening, staff were very attentive and polite. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for a lovely evening
Staff were so friendly - they offered to take pictures of us for us. They even recommended we go upstairs to the lovely floral tree to take the pictures and followed to take a group picture of us. All staff we encountered that day were really polite and friendly.
The best thai food around , been to Thailand and has the holy basil there , these guys make it exactly the same so you know it’s amai food
Beautiful food and cocktails
We came at lunchtime and chose from the mezze menu. This proved to be a good choice with a selection of dishes that were all delicious. Although they were all different they all complemented each other. Excellent wine (Malbec) too.
The food was absolutely delicious. I only wish I'd had enough room for dessert.
Plus points: Service and food was good. Minus points: We were seated downstairs in the Birmingham restaurant and it's a little claustrophobic, very dark (the lighting needs improving as you struggle to read the menu without the light on your phone) and the music was far too loud (they were playing not just background music, but thumping/pounding songs that were not very pleasant at all). If/when I return I will book a table upstairs.
Amazing food but disappointed as it was my wedding Anniversary and no special dessert was provided. (The waiter knew it was our anniversary).
Staff seemed disinterested and under-trained
