About Sabai Sabai Birmingham
First opened Sabai Sabai as a small, cosy, family-run Thai restaurant in Moseley 10 years ago. Proving a real hit with the locals they opened the Harborne restaurant, oozing a subtle eastern sophistication with carved wooden benches and low inviting lighting. Mastering contemporary chic and bringing a taste of Thailand to Birmingham.
the braised short rib Massaman was amazing
All had a really great meal and drinks and the service was excellent. They even brought out cake with a candle for my birthday. Really impressed. Would definitely return and recommend!
Love this place perfect for lunchtime treat , food is excellent
Food was nice but a bit bland. Not all that impressed for quite an expensive menu. The service was fine but we were rushed out of our seats which was a shame. The restaurant itself is very well decorated and the atmosphere is cool, but the music is quite loud if you're sitting under the speaker, which we were. All in all it was OK.
Great meal with fantastic service from Shahin and the team. Very attentive when we sat down and were happy to customise to my fussy requests. Love the atmosphere here- worth the money for a special meal!
Fab fab fab
fabulous meal and drinks
We were in Birmingham for one night having moved away 3 years ago. We had been to Sabai Sabai in Harborne a few times and were keen to try the new (to us) city centre location. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Having said we were in a bit of a rush due to going to a show afterwards, our freshly cooked food was brought very quickly.
Our sharing starter was very good and my friends duck however my Pad Thai was a little greasy and the noodles slightly under cooked
1st class in every department...
Fabulous food in wonderful surroundings. We'll be back.
This is the first time we been to Sabai Sabai and we where very impressed. The food and service was great. My only negative comment would be that the tables are quite close in some areas of the restaurant so not very private.
Always great food , attention to detail so your whole experience is a lovely one. The staff are friendly , polite and know the menu so can advise on what to order.
Always good food. Red thai and pad thai are amazin. Crab and prawn fishcakes 👌🏽
Great food and great service. Will be back shortly!
We had a really lovely meal, the food was delicious
Great service and atmosphere. Food fantastic although pretty big portions. Very delicious though!
A very enjoyable first visit with very tasty food and excellent service by attentive staff in ambient and relaxed surroundings.
Was very good fast service
Excellent dining experience. Waiting staff were excellent and knowledgeable. We will definitely return.
First visit to sabai sabai and I will definitely be returning. We arrived during happy hour and got some lovely cocktails, food was really good and service was excellent. Really good Thai food with great atmosphere.
Really enjoyed our meal for 2. Friendly service could have been slightly more attentive on drinks. My wife's wine glass was empty midway through eating the main course and because we were by a wall it wasn't that easy to get the attention of a server. It's always nice if someone could observe the empty glass and offer a new one without having to flag down a server.
100% recommend this place! Felt like being back in Thailand eating the local food!
