Saba is an award winning Thai and Vietnamese Eatery on Clarendon Street, in Dublin's city centre. Saba, which means "happy meeting place" in Thai, serves authentic cuisine at reasonable prices in a setting described as "colonial meets contemporary". Saba is renowned for our delicious food, fantastic atmosphere and cocktails that will tantalise your tastebuds.
We were not particularly pleased at all. Our main course came out of the kitchen not even 10 minutes after ordering which shocked us. Not sure how that was possible as the place was packed wall to wall. This raises more concern than praise. The food was lukewarm and my partner could not eat hers it was like eating soy sauce from the bottle, awful. The waiter who cleared our table never commented on a full plate of food being removed and sadly when we had finished paying the waiter asked how it was to which I replied not great at all, all I got in response was a stare. Would not recommend.
Excellent all around
We had a lovely evening in Saba on Sunday. Everything was great.
Staff are fantastic, food is out of this world really beautiful. Great crack - thank you for the birthday cake as well!!
Very accommodating for a large hen party group. Food was great, cocktails potent haha and also when we were running late they helped amend the booking. Fab place
Very disappointing experience. Booked table for 9pm, got table at 9.40pm. Had to send starter back as was stone cold on the inside (spring rolls). Got no apology for issue or asked if I wanted alternative. Main course lovely but overall experience poor
Much better experience than a previous visit at Christmas. The staff were friendly & attentive.
Staff were very good, friendly and attentive. We were a large party so had a set menu which was a bit restrictive, would have preferred to have been able to order from the full menu but understand why Saba have this. All in all would definitely return.
Service was almost non existent. Had to flag a waiter down to order drinks. We ordered sides which never arrived and had to wait 10 minutes to be able to find a waiter to get the bill. I eat a lot at Saba with family but am seriously considering finding somewhere else to go
Service was excellent.,
Consistently great food, good value and atmosphere KC
Good Afternoon, I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the team for the service on Friday evening, The service was amazing and the food was very nice.
very nice atmosphere. Excellent service and food ! will definitely come back.
We love Saba! Great atmosphere. Lovely staff and the food is great.
Great tasting food with plenty of choices for vegetarians
Fantastic evening for my birthday. It was a large group and the staff accommodated and helped everyone. Food was so tasty as usual and the value for money was excellent. The restaurant can get quiet hot at times which can be a bit uncomfortable! However overall we had a brilliant time and I was delighted.
Always reliable - good quality lovely food - helpful staff - great location. Relaxed atmosphere.
Too dark, had to use a torch to look at the menu
The waitress we had was extremely rude. I'm coeliac and there was only 1 item on the appetizers that was gluten free on the early bird. I asked was there anything else I could get as I don't like fish, she said the fish soup, there was nothing else. I wouldn't have minded paying extra if it was off the main menu, but she just said no. Wasn't a great experience because my friend got the starter and main so I basically had to watch her eat her starter.
Hi everything was great but our server was extremely rude. And it’s happened before with him he doesn’t have basic manners.
Food was delicious and staff were helpful and friendly
The food was not authentic
