About Rye & Soda
BREAKFAST & BRUNCH RESTAURANT
TAPAS BAR & RESTAURANT
Service was very slow. Didn’t get drinks until food came and had to go to bar to ask for cutlery. One of the chips didn’t arrive until asked for. Waiting staff didn’t seem that interested and not even that busy on a Saturday lunch time. I’ve had a much better experience before so was a little disappointing.
Excellent pre-theatre experience - highly recommended! We will definitely be back!
Web site has old menu on it so booked expecting Larger menu.
Menu has changed and not really any snack type things anymore which is a shame.
We came for a club dinner and we had a large busy table which your staff dealt with admirably. The food was delicious and we shall be back!!! Also no problem with folk going up and saying what they had eaten and had to drink and paying their own bill We shall be back
Please don’t use cheap ketchup
Friendly staff, good food and service.
My family and I came to Rye and Soda for Lunch on Mother's Day, and we were not disappointed. We received friendly service and there was only a small wait in-between everyone receiving their food. Would recommend and will be back! :)
Went to Rye & Soda for brunch and was not disappointed. In Aberdeen it is so hard to find a good quality breakfast but Rye & Soda is perfect, lovely food, great service and use local produce as well as having an AMAZING PEACH TEA! You pay for the great quality you get! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
We had originally reserved a table for Tapas & Cocktails at Bos'n Bar but apparently they no longer offer this so we moved downstairs to Rye & Soda
I’ve enjoyed previous meals at Rye & Soda however the quality of the food on Saturday was disappointing.
Great Gin selection, love the partnership with MELT
We booked a table for 6 for brunch. When we arrived our table was a table for 4 with an extra bit shoved on the end and two additional chairs. This meant two of the party were squashed up either between the table and the wall or between our table and the next table. The coffees were great, the food was a mixed bag - the full Scottish was good but the pancakes were very tough and chewy and our huevos rancheros arrived without any avocado and we had to complain to get some. The menu here looks really great and there is a lack of good brunch spots in Aberdeen so I was excited to try here - but I was disappointed by the quality of some of the food.
Very mixed review unfortunately. Food was really good and the staff were friendly however they managed to miss one food order, get another food order wrong, they ran out of the beer we were drinking after 4 cans and although having an extensive gin list they didn't have a large number of the ones we asked for. Overall just a little disappointing.
Lovely staff made us so welcome. Thank you!
Service was shockingly slow. Considering we were a larger group felt more of an inconvenience to staff. Waited roughly 30 minutes for the first drink, and other customers ordered after us yet were served drinks before. Restaurant was half full under staffing wasn't an issue just that some of the staff spent a lot of their time on their phones. One young female waitress was the only saving grace, Food tasted great but portions were small, if staff had been more approachable potentially could of advised about side orders. Desserts were amazing. Visiting the toilets via the shopping centre spoils ambience. Would come back but not in a hurry.
Nice ambience with friendly wait staff. Unfortunately the spaces between table legs were too small even for a short person like me, so my partner and I felt as if we could not sit comfortably. Coffees were served lukewarm (although the blends themselves were delightful). The food itself was served warm with good portion sizes and tasted delicious! Overall, I enjoyed my visit.
The service made it. Super friendly and just lovely people working there. 100% go back.
Food was fantastic. Little bit pricey for wine but overall good value for the quality of food and service.
I booked this for a table of 6 and two people said their main meal was tasteless. I think the general feeling was ok food but priced to high
Lovely little place for breakfast. Food is good and staff are very friendly! Plenty veggie options available!
Hands down, best pancakes and bacon in Aberdeen!!
Excellent food but restaurant was chilly
We loved the rum themed Hogmanay menu. It was so refreshing to have rum as the main focus as so many places are promoting gin and whisky. The food worked so well with the dishes and we were really delighted at the quality and presentation of both the food and drinks. If you guys do another similar evening we would definitely want to give it a try!
Fabulous first time I've been and will definitely be back.😃
