About Rye & Soda
BREAKFAST & BRUNCH RESTAURANT
TAPAS BAR & RESTAURANT
Lovely menu, big portions. Very friendly staff. Food came out quick, but staff were a bit slow collecting order and checking on us even though it was not busy.
We had a brilliant time doing the gin tasting with Jeff. Would highly recommend for a fun afternoon.
Had an itison voucher for wine flights and cheese/meat board. It was fantastic value for money. Service was great and there was a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back !
Atmosphere la long as only us & one other table. Wine menu not fully available. Food ok - lacked dressing or variety of leaves on salad. Burger nice flavour but meat & cheese tough.
Lovely food and staff! Will be back ASAP!
Pancakes were among the best I have ever had. But unfortunately several of my first choice items from the brunch menu were unavailable. It was a bit disappointing that you had run out of avocado (part of my top 2 brunch dishes) as well as hot chocolate (no moccha!). So a bit of a mixed bag. I would visit again as those pancakes won me over.
Adrian and his fantastic team went out of their way to welcome us and provided first class service and superb selection of great quality food. All dietary requirements were catered for and my party guests all throughly enjoyed the evening. I'd definitely recommend this place as a go to for any event. Thanks again. Xxx
We had bought vouchers off of itison for brunch and all of us ordered the full breakfast which was meant to come with mushrooms and tomatoes. The amount of black pudding on the plates was crazy and looked chucked on. There was random bits of tomato skin and barely any mushrooms so much so none of us could eat the black pudding. The breakfast was very thrown together and not too enjoyable.
Food lacked flavour my wife had beef with mac and cheese it was very sad.
Fab brunch and served by a very pleasant gentleman.
Amazing staff, we messed up and booked a late table not realising the place closed at 6pm on a Sunday and the staff were amazing about it, staying open late to accomodate us. Will definitely be back again soon! :)
Delighted to find you are dog friendly will definitely be back
The service was very good
Excellent service really good food and a very attentive waitress
Excellent food, there was live music playing when we were there and this, coupled with the delicious Bloody Mary I had, it made for the perfect Sunday afternoon! I gave the service 4/5 stars only because the waitress forgot to bring me the sauce I asked for with my food, but the food was lovely even without the condiments. Consider it 4.9/5 :)
Great breakfast ( very large) tasty and very polite and pleasant staff. Will visit again.
Good service, pleasant atmosphere.
The kitchen staff went home before we could order dessert. This was pretty disappointing as we expected to be given the chance to have three courses.
My special request of wine being on the table for my friends birthday wasn’t done. The service was very slow with drink refills. Bowls were given instead of side plates for the cheese board. The itison voucher was very misleading. The food did taste very nice though but a little disappointing for a birthday
Unfortunately we did not enjoy our visit to Rye and Soda. This was our first time at the venue. We had the brunch ITISON voucher, we got our food before we got our tea and coffee which was very fast, however it became obvious that the food had all been cooked and was just being kept warm hence the quick service for the food. We were put on a table that people walked behind but there was another table behind the walk way and there was just a small gap for people to get past which was not ideal. The tables are low so my partner couldn’t actually fit his legs under the table. Which didn’t help with people squeezing past the table. From the menu there were three items listed that with the full breakfast that didn’t actually come with the full breakfast, only one of which we were told about and no offer was made if we would like anything else in its place.
Great service and fab food! Loved it
We were here for a meal on Saturday the 15th September and we will not be rushing back. When our main meals came out they were Luke warm, the beef burger was hard and tasteless- every time you tried to cut it, it flew off the plate, the open chicken sandwich was like chewing plastic and the garlic mayo dip had so much garlic in it, it was like eating a clove of garlic. As for the gin every garnish was lime only!! When the bill came out they overcharged us and when we queried they couldn't really explain what had happened just took off what we hadn't had
The deal was great, the guy that served us was fab, the only thing I’d say was the eggs were a little under cooked and man do you serve a ton of haggis & black pudding with the breakfast.
Well, where to start. Firstly I suppose the terrible menu, which did not resemble what was on the website and instead was a collection of undesirable choices, which were not the only table looking for the least worst opinion to choose from. I was going to leave but though would give it benefit of the doubt. Once picked the food was not quite as described, salad was a little past it and butter was on everything (and not in a good way!) and we both regretted not going with out gut feeling and leaving! My advice is go somewhere else to eat and come here for drinks.
