About Ryder Grill
Here at The Ryder Grill, our Executive Head Chef Robert Bates and his brigade create dishes from only the highest quality ingredients, all locally sourced, freshly selected, and lovingly prepared. You can expect succulent steaks, chargrills and roasts, fish and lobster, all designed to enhance your culinary experience.
The Ryder Grill succeeds in creating the most memorable of dining experiences. The a la carte menu provides a refreshing take on modern dining. Diners can enjoy stunning views across the iconic Brabazon golf course and in the summer, enjoy drinks on the outdoor terrace.
For something more relaxed, you can enjoy the Chef's Table option which offers a wide selection of mouth-watering starters, mains and desserts from our 3 course self-service option, which includes an array of hand-crafted cuisine served in a more casual environment. And don't forget our famous Sunday Lunch.
Great food and service, staff very friendly.
Before COVID it was a lovely buffet but table service was okay some of the food was cold
Sunday lunch was nicely presented and very tasty. Service was good, the staff were efficient but always cheerful.
I have put a low rate for the atmosphere as due to convid the place was not full so it was not as nice as it usually is
Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch
Booked for Sunday lunch and it was just amazing. The beef was cooked to perfection! Staff were friendly and very polite
Amazing food and service from a lovely young blonde lady on Sunday night! Deffo be returning!
Despite the covid set up and lack of atmosphere that seems to be the norm at this time in most restaurants, The Ryder grill once again proved great food and service is what makes all the difference. Fantastic service from our waiter and the whole team.
As this was our first time at dineing at the Ryder Grill as we walked in it reminded us of a canteen setting and we were very disappointed no atmosphere at all , but i must say the beef we ordered was excellent .
The staff have adapted extremely well and you wouldn’t really notice that things have had to change, apart from the fact that they are wearing masks. I would highly recommend
The overflow area needed made a bit more ambient.
Excellent set up considering the current restrictions. Felt very safe and comfortable.
Front of house was very nice and pleasant and a very jolly lady
Food is expensive and basic, Drinks are way overpriced Social distancing requests are way over the top With unpractical practices! The whole hotel is barely open, we stayed two nights, didn’t even get our towels changed, or paper tea cups replaced! We played all three courses, the Derby is really scruffy, All bunkers are GUR ! If you are charging top money you need to make sure you offer top facilities and service! Currently you are not!
Limited choices due to the current situation but food still good. Seating could do with being looked at again as there is only a few tables that are comfortable to sit at with your partner. Alround doing a great job with such a tricky situation.
We had a Virgin Experience Days voucher to use for 2 with Sunday Lunch. When we arrived we asked if we could sit outside as there was available seating and its safer to do so during COVID-19 but we were told no so that was a disappointing start and I still don’t understand why...... Service was hit and miss. Great from some staff (men bringing out the food, short blonde bob wavy hair lady who greeted us) but others not so.. it took 4 attempts to get my drinks order correct. Drinks menu also gave the impression you could only have wine if you brought the bottle but I worked out that wasn’t the case from looking at other tables. Food was amazing. Nice to walk round the golf course, where we were allowed, afterwards. Our virgin experience deal included tea/coffee but we weren’t even offered that at the end of our menu and instead charged for our soft drinks but really should have been free and classed as our tea/coffee. Upon booking a few days before via phone I gave over my virgin experience references but there still seemed to be an issue once we asked for the bill (if there was anything to pay)....well it wasn’t straight forward as it should have been...and I had to email a member of the belfry proof of my voucher which I didn’t think was very professional ? Overall an ok experience but expected more from the belfry and probably won’t rush back.
Was absolutely amazing experience. Very attentive staff but not overly so. Food was fabulous, lovely choice, fresh and beautifully presented. Would definitely go back. Food included for our 2yr old which again was a lovely choice.
The staff, especially Becky and Alice were fantastic in making the new circumstances work. Their service was outstanding. The food was pretty good too
The staff adapted really well to the COVID. Requirements
We had an excellent meal although the menu was a little limited we understood why. The protocols in place made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff were all amazing. We will be back.
The staff were just fantastic adjusting to the requirements of COVID serving. Everything was explained really well. Becky and Alice Looked after us really well and even with their masks on you could tell that they were smiling and made us feel very comfortable
Staff are doing a great job in this pandemic
Our family gathering experience for the Sunday lunch was great. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive. The four course meal were delicious, well presented and plenty of it. We all came away feeling happy and satisfied. Will certainly book again.
We have been before and as usual get excellent service. The food is lovely and as the only vegetarian in the party it’s brilliant. The veg lasagna was the best I have had. The staff are all lovely and friendly. We look forward to coming again.
Excellent service and food and a wonderfil atmospire
