About Ryder Grill
Here at The Ryder Grill, our Executive Head Chef Robert Bates and his brigade create dishes from only the highest quality ingredients, all locally sourced, freshly selected, and lovingly prepared. You can expect succulent steaks, chargrills and roasts, fish and lobster, all designed to enhance your culinary experience.
The Ryder Grill succeeds in creating the most memorable of dining experiences. The a la carte menu provides a refreshing take on modern dining. Diners can enjoy stunning views across the iconic Brabazon golf course and in the summer, enjoy drinks on the outdoor terrace.
For something more relaxed, you can enjoy the Chef's Table option which offers a wide selection of mouth-watering starters, mains and desserts from our 3 course self-service option, which includes an array of hand-crafted cuisine served in a more casual environment. And don't forget our famous Sunday Lunch.
We visited for the special occasion of my parents retiring. The small room allocated was lovely. Starters were ok, main meals were good except a fish main was cold and sides were missed by serving staff, when they arrived fish had been eaten so service could be better considering this is an expensive eatery. Wouldn’t rush back
Really enjoyed it the only one comment I would like to make is The gravy could have been a bit thicker.
As a frequent visitor this was the worst visit by a mile and we will not be returning. Service was terrible, plates not cleared, drinks order not taken in spite of asking a number of times, totally disinterested and unengaged staff. Awful atmosphere, practically empty. I guess all your regulars feel the same as me and are finding elsewhere in droves. In summary one of the worst meals out that I can remember. Huge deterioration from our many other visits over the years.
The service was very good and a good variety of dishes. We both had the roast beef for the main course and found it have a strange flavour, nothing like webmaster before! We did consider complaining but thought that we would not want more of the beef or the alternatives. We did make our feelings known to our server and to the cashier on settling the bill. Unfortunately it did rather spoil the whole experience!
My only negative feedback is, it is 2019. Learn to scan vouchers at the till or even type in the code to the system rather than getting really annoyed with customers when they do not print them off. Did you know pulp and paper industries have a significant effect on the environment? They produce nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and carbon dioxide. Go paperless, everyone else has.
Amazing food and service
Really disappointed with evening meal and selection. Starters were good but the selection of mains and accompaniments was very poor and unappetizing. Very dry and not much flavour . Have to say the breakfast the following morning was very good quality and a pleasure
Food was very nice and the dessert was delicious. Reasonably priced with very good service.
Absolutely fantastic afternoon, EVERYTHING was perfect, Staff, Food, Service, Atmosphere.... 10/10 After lunch we sat in the Sans Club House talking & laughing until 8pm that’s how much of a good time we had - Many Thanks to Bonnie who works in The Bar too xx
Sadly the food was not good. We all ate from the set menu. Rump steak tough. Lamb navarin was like eating lamb stew. Truthfully it was not worth the money. Not much choice on the Al a carte. Wine mega expensive. I did leave feedback at reception but was told they did not deal with feedback for the restaurant. I was very tempted to ask for our money back. Can not recommend the Ryder Grill
we were celebrating my husbands 80th birthday and the staff were very helpful and pleasant . Thank you
Not happy with our experience having heard that this was the best roast in the area. The queues for the food were unpleasant (and EVERYTHING had ran out when we finally got up there), we waited half an hour for our drinks to arrive. Quality of the food was good but not great. Won’t return.
Disappointed that we were given a cocktail menu and wasn’t able to order off it as there were no ingredients...don’t give a menu out if your unable to fulfil it! Rest of the meal was fabulous though
Very expensive for a very plain carvery lunch.
We went to the Ryder Grill as we though it was a top restaurant in the area, sadly this is definitely not the case. The food is well below par and being our Anniversary night most disappointing. The only saving grace was the waitresses Meryleen & Annie they were superb! Shame to say the food and dinning experience did not come close to the perception given. It’s another case of a place living on past fame and glory, failing to deliver in the present day.
Excellent food with great service,
Food and service were excellent. Very professional staff in all areas of the hotel and restaurant. Definitely will return and recommend to friends and family
Quality of food excellent. Service slow at times. Repeat customer happy with service altogether.
Lovely setting for Sunday lunch, excellent attentive service and good food.
Initially disappointed with the location of our table but the waiter moved us when we complained. Second table in nice spot and the waitress was really great. We ordered from the a la carte menu as didn’t want 3 courses. The food was delicious. Only haven’t given 5 stars for atmosphere as you are mixed in with diners who are using the buffet style option and it feels a bit busy. It is a bit pricey but was was good.
It was amazing.. service was on point. I'll definitely visit again.
Very enjoyable meal with excellent service. Our second visit having been before in August 2017 for our wedding anniversary. My only concern is Cappuccino £5!!! That really spoils it. Otherwise looking forward to our next visit.
Service was brilliant, my husband and I had the buffet meal of an evening. The starter choices were tasty and nice but mains a little disappointing as there was that much choice but what was being offered didn’t match together. Must say the food was tasty but just not the best in choice wise
My daughter said it was the best meal she’d ever experienced. Great service . Only downside which would be difficult to change is that the restaurant switches from fine dining a la carte experience to breakfast buffet overnight! It would be better if evening meals were served in a separate room
Excellent Sunday lunch
