About Wildwood Rushden Lakes
A small collection of restaurants, serving freshly prepared food - with one simple aim; to serve great food delivered by friendly staff in a relaxed, homely environment. Whether you choose from the grill section, stone-baked pizza or our freshly prepared pastas, our passion for high quality dishes is the main focus across all of our restaurants.
We've been a few times with our toddler. Usually good food and service. On this last occasion though we arrived to be told we didn't have a reservation. We did, plus the restaurant was near empty so I'm not sure why the staff made a big deal of it. My wife ordered mussels (on the specials) then 10 mins later told there weren't any - again not a big deal but there were only 6 specials and two of those were mussels! Its generally decent food and decent service so please don't let standards slip now its been open a while
Very slow service. Had to ask to order drinks & food and caught the eye of a few stad but felt ignored
Lovely family meal and a good atmosphere for a Monday evening.
My husband and I ate at this restaurant yesterday for his birthday treat! We booked a late lunch to try and miss the crowds, but did arrive when the place was still very full at 13:30. We were shown to our table very quickly though and our drinks order taken soon after. When we ordered our food we both wanted the calamari for starter which came with cajun mayonnaise. I asked the waitress if I could have plain mayonnaise as I am allergic to chillies. When the starter arrived another person brought it with two plain mayonnaise dips instead of one of each. I told him about my chilli allergy and he said I couldn't have the calamari then as it was coated in chillies!! This was soon rectified as the chef made me some without all the chillies and the dish was lovely. When our mains arrived (husband had ordered the sea food risotto and I the rack of baby ribs), the waitress brought us sea bass instead of the risotto, but apologised and took it away again. A risotto was then made and delivered to the table although a distinct lack of seafood, a few prawns and a few calamari. My ribs and the chips they came with though were absolutely fantastic, I will definitely order that again. We were too full for dessert so after a chat to the staff about putting contents of the food on the menu (chillies or any highly spiced foods in particular), we paid the bill and left. All in all the food was really good, just the mix up that the waitress did apologise for with the main courses and not picking up on my allergy comment. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, would go here again but give the risotto a miss.
Food was nice but had to ask for parts of my meal that were missing. A lot of salt added to children’s chips which is unnecessary. Dairy free and stated it on booking but no allergy information given on arrival .
The Rushden Lakes restaurant is a big space. May be an idea to try and seat small children all together, in one area, so adults can enjoy a meal away from small children.
Found a hair in my salad and there was a lipstick mark on my glass.
Great food, friendly staff and fab location.
Food was lovely, service was good. Shame the drinks were expensive but we had a lovely evening thankyou.
Food and drink were nice, service was good, food and drink over priced
First time at Wildwood and thought was really good, friendly staff and food was also good and reasonably priced, would certainly go back
I was more than happy with the food, the service and the restaurant. The only thing that could have improved the experience would have been speed of service. This is not normally an issue but because it was a work related function we were out of the office for longer than I would have liked.
Great food and service but every loud atmosphere on the night we visited. This was due to large numbers sitting at two tables. Would visit for food again, hopefully it’ll be quieter next time.
I had a steak burger and asked if I could have mushrooms added to it aswell. They did and it was lovely. Could have had a little more steak 😊 but it tasted lovely.
Service was great. Food lovely and the atmosphere was good. Had a great view of the lake during the daylight and a fab evening at nighttime.
We had a lovely meal. However the seating arrangement was not the best , there were 8 in our group and the long table did not help with conversation. If it had been a round table it would have been better, as parts of the group felt left out of the conversations. Maybe revise seating for large groups otherwise it was a lovely meal with friendly staff who made you feel welcome and not rushed to get through your meal so they could get other customers in.
Poor service can understand younger people are cheaper to employee But does not pay great Setting got great potential But staff training Poor Would recommend you find staff member To Monitor the younger members of staff Was my mrs 50 th and felt this was not A night to Remember for the right reasons manger was on the ball
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and fast service.
After initial reluctance to re-seat our family due to the sun being in our eyes, the meal was very enjoyable.
The venue was really nice, the food was a bit bland and quite pricey for what you get. Great service, friendly and polite staff.
I have been here twice and unfortunately both times been highly disappointed. By the food and the lack of knowledge of staff.
Food was mediocre. I had the garlic prawns on sourdough bread for starters- prawns were cold, garlic sauce had too much garlic. Mains - I had wild boar and chorizo burger - it was too salty and over cooked. My friend had the courgette pasta - it was bland and tasteless. Will not be not returning here again.
