Fantastic food and service, great experience
Very ordinary for the extravagant price!
Outstanding dining experience. The food was delicious and unlike anything I have had previously. Sam Moore’s creativity and use of native ingredients is in a similar way to that of Ben Shewry at Attica. Will definitely come back and can highly recommend room81
Amazing experience start to finish, The staff were amazing the food was amazing we dine out a lot But this was the best we have experienced in a long time. If you are on the coast or a local like us this should’ve No 1 on your list
Always a very interesting menu. To tell or friends we had green ants in a pineapple pop or a crackling snail off a small bush gives us an edge; not to mention the Scotch Eggs. Thanks for a great night of food.
Loved the 12 course degustation
Disappointing - we expected next level dining experience but all aspects were rather average. We chose the 5 crse Degustation which was creative but missed the mark of High Distinction and memorable on every course except the dessert -LLB- well done Chef! Each course seemed to lack an element to raise the taste buds and mind to next level. Extensive wine & cocktail list, we enjoyed our Pinot Grigio from King Valley Tasmania. Started in the lounge bar with cocktails unfortunately the Bloody Mary was overloaded with a Curry rimmed glass - so over powering the taste lingered into the meal. Waitstaff presented courses with knowledge and clarity but a sense of contrite duty prevailed rather expression of comfort and passion. The opportunity to make your mark exists here but is sadly missed at the moment - I think you can do it with a little more effort and thought about the customer experience.
Had the 12 course degustation with matching wines. Was VERY disappointed. I've eaten a lot of degustations in my time at varying restaurants around the world and was really keen to try this one. I get where the Chef was trying to go with it all - but it wasn't a crowd pleaser. We were the only table of two in the restaurant on a Sat night. There was one other table of girls who were on a night out - but let's be honest they weren't there for the food. To be the only table of two in there on a sat night is a tell tale sign for me. The guy can cook - there's no doubt about that, but this is simply the wrong menu for this restaurant. ANDDDD - totally get the Australiana theme - but WHY match with international wines?? Doesn't make sense to me. We actually couldn't eat a few of the dishes (and that's saying something for me.
Simply superb!!! Like no other dining experience before, food pleasure taken to an entire new level.
Food disappointing and some of it sickening, too many deep fried items, 5 sweet dishes, bread not great and weird things on the menu that are not pleasant to eat. I had high expectations and I would never recommend to go there unfortunately. I think the chef should focus more on what customers would like to eat rather than trying to make weird things taste good and making them uninspired to eat the food. More meat and vegetables would be good and fresh delicate meals would be better. Some of the menu items I did not want to eat more than 1 bite. A few of the menu items were good but nothing I would want to eat again especially when you have 12 courses. Desserts were not bad the lemon dessert was pretty good. I do not usually write bad comments but $160 for such an underwhelming degestation, I prefer to drive to Brisbane for an amaizing dineing experience, shame because I was hoping to be able to dine locally
Our dinner was good but expect my daughter steak was full of blood after telling them well done which put her off her meal and could not eat with the family after waiting for new one to be cooked but dinning there for lunch the next day was amazing
Fantastic service from an extremely knowledgeable Laeticia.
Beautiful fine dining experience
Great food and service. A real find!
Food & service was very good. My wife’s white coat came back from the cloak room with a stain like it had been dragged across a dirty floor. More care needs to be taken there.
Amazing dining experience
Amazing food. Not cheap, but worth the experience.
