Fantastic food and our waitress was fantastic too. Very knowledgable and yet still personable. It was a great evening. I could have eaten 12 courses of that duck! Thank you
Great meal as usual - I’ve never had a bad one at Ronnie’s. Love the great combinations of flavors and beautiful presentation.
We had a lovely meal at Ronnies. Food was great.
Great meal....great evening.
The service was as memorable as the food! I can accept mediocre food with brilliant service but no matter how exquisite the food, if the service is bad , the experience is ruined. Ronnies has got it right.
I marked atmosphere down slightly, not for any problem with the restaurant but because for much of our time there we were the only customers. The food was excellent. My wife, who paid, mentioned that the price may have been slightly higher than on previous visits but it wasn't a complaint. I first visited in 2008 when I organised a business lunch. We had our wedding reception at Ronnies in 2010 and we have visited for many special occasions and at some other times since then. We are rarely disappointed. The highlight of a meal at Ronnies is often the starter!
Fabulous food and service 5 star
On a rainy and quiet Wednesday evening we were treated to exceptionally good food and fantastic service. It really is a gem of a restaurant.
Always loved the place, but disappointed to find the side dish of vegetables is no longer included with main courses. That was one of the main attractions for us. (One now has to buy veg as extra as none of the dishes included decent portions of vegetables)
Weekday lunch was perfect. Excellent food, beautifully presented, and great value. Ronnie’s Deserves all the accolades it receives.
Always loved it when I have been to Ronnies and this time was as good as ever. Food stunning, great service and fantastic evening.
Excellent. Best food in Thornbury.
We were a party of 4. Outstanding food quality and presentation, service excellent. Great value.
An excellent dining experience
Excellent food from well-conceived and seasonal tasting menu. The chef clearly knows when less is more. Each element on the plate was there for a good reason without over complicating the dishes. Service was a bit fumbly but didn't detract from the experience.
As always, a big thank you to Ron and the team, food tasting menu with wine was awesome, i especially liked the halibut and the Duck, wines were superb , 29th anniversary couldn’t have asked for more!
Duck disappointingly overcooked. No atmosphere as only a handful of people in the restaurant - but service was good.
The fish tasting menu was a tour de force. Each course was expertly cooked and presented. Service was excellent. It was a memorable dining experience for our party of 4.
A very pleasant experience
Disappointed that the chef read my order wrong, giving me a blue steak in stead of very well done. I was very specific with my order as I feel very squeamish about raw meat. Once I cut into it and saw the blood, my appetite went. Such a shame to spend £27 on a steak and not eat it. Wasn’t offered a refund or any discount which I felt would have been necessary.
Nice Easter Sunday lunch.
My Tangent Group of Ladies held our Handover Evening at Ronnie's. Every aspect of the evening was perfect. The food, wines, atmosphere and Front of House was superb. Excellent value for money and we will certainly return.
It's great to have a restaurant of this quality right on our doorstep.
