Food was excellent and very accommodating for vegetarian. Waited far to long for service. Didn’t get a drink for at least 20 minutes, needed to ask for a side plate, spoons for all and refill of water. The waitresses were very nice but the service just let it all down.
Excellent meal. Very enjoyable atmosphete. Lovely food.
Pleasantly surprised by quality of fixed price lunch menu. Main course of chicken with spring vegetables was particularly good. Service was pleasant but a bit robotic and not very personable but most of all very slow.
Another delicious lunch, wonderful service, the freshest of food which tasted superb. Can't wait to return. Thank you.
Amazing food, good size portions, great selection of wine
Each course from the appetizer through to dessert was amazing, top quality ingredients prepared to perfection.
As always a superb meal with some delightful additions to that ordered. The service is excellent without being overbearing, the food is delicious and the price reasonable for the quality. We will return as often as possible.
The food was lovely but it took far too long to get the food and the wait between courses was excessive. It took over 2 hours for a simple 2 course meal. One of the children in our party had fallen asleep by the time the main courses came out. To their credit we weren't charged for her meal.
Superb food once again. Loved some of the tasters provided between courses.Brilliant night celebrating our retirement with friends.
We enjoyed our evening from start to finish. The taster menu was lovely, and the bottle of Bonarda helped too!
Always a fantastic menu with amazing food and flavours, a great relaxed atmosphere and brilliant and attentive service. Thanks to Ronnie and your team an another fantastic culinary experience.
Another excellent meal from Ronnie, a pity more diners weren’t able to experience it.
Came into lunch with my family on Sunday. Had a fantastic experience. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Roast beef was perfect and full of flavour, veg was plentiful- Best roast in a long while. Kids eat free roast is a bonus, which they have a promotion on at the moment. Very enjoyable lunch and staff were attentive - highly recommend. Will be back soon.
We were sat upstairs on Saturday 28th April and had a really great meal and experience. the lad who served us was very good. clearly working very hard in order to try to keep up.it was obvious his (I understand new) colleague was not really aware of what to do in order to provide a good level of service (she was very nice, so no complaints in terms of her approach it just felt she would have benefited from having a bit more clear direction ahead of being released upon the public!).we will definitely return.thank you.
Loved absolutely everything on the taster menu!
Everything was lovely however fine dining always leaves one hungry!
Another fabulous dining experience at Ronnies. Top quality cuisine at very reasonable prices. My Lamb dish was full of lovely subtle flavours. Highly recommended. Also had the pleasure to meet Ronnie after our meal. Keep up the fab work and congratulations on your first 10 years!
An excellent gathering of 22 upstairs at one big table. Brilliant. We had the lunchtime 5 course tasting menu (plus amuse bouche to start - making it 6). Very much enjoyed by everyone. The service was both pleasant, friendly and efficient, and although more expensive than one might normally pay for lunch, there was no comparison to any of the other restaurants offering lunch in Thornbury. Although a tasting menu, portions were ample and satisfying and superbly cooked - we didn't eat again that day! We have never been disappointed yet, Ronnies is the best in Thornbury.
Food was delicious as always and beautifully presented. Our only criticism was that some of the waiting staff could do with more training. For example, we had to ask for horseradish and mustard to go with our roast beef, and we asked for French mustard and were given English. Also - no serving spoons for the veg. However, it was a very busy Sunday lunch with 25% discount.
Had the 3 course Sunday lunch (special offer). Food was plentiful and excellent., the wide selection of perfectly cooked vegetables was impressive. Kids menu was very well received by grandchildren. Service was very friendly but somewhat slower than usual, perhaps the volume of customers compromised the usual timely service. However, for a leisurely family Sunday lunch it was unbeatable quality and value. We will be back !
Both the quality and value of the food at Ronnie's is very high. There is nowhere comparable in Thornbury, and we have never been disappointed with any dish or drink.
A lovely meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it came with a special touch written on our plate of chocolates with the coffee at the end of the meal. Thank you Ron
A busy Easter Sunday made no difference to the usual excellent food and service.
Fabulous quality meal - we haven't stopped talking about it. The set lunch is outstanding value for money.
Beautiful food and presentation. Wine excellent. Thanks for discount on super wine. Staff very professional and friendly. Will be back soon.
