About Ronaq Restaurant New Waverley
We are proud to announce a spectacular new venture in the heart of Edinburgh’s £150 million New Waverley development, which is currently transforming the city’s Old Town.
Ronaq, which first opened in Edinburgh three years ago, is expanding its chain of restaurants into a stunning glass-fronted corner site linking Cranston Street with East Market Street, just yards from the Royal Mile.
The new venue includes a large ground-level bar leading upstairs to a stunning first-floor dining area seating up to 90 people, which is almost completely surrounded by floor to ceiling glass panels providing magnificent views across the Waverley Valley.
We have designed the restaurant to take full advantage of the views across Edinburgh, combined with a varied menu serving the best in contemporary and traditional Asian cuisine. It’s an amazing space bringing together the best of Edinburgh, both old and new, and we are looking forward to literally lighting up the Old Town.
So what sets Ronaq apart from every other Indian Restaurants in Edinburgh? Definitely our passion for cooking and providing great tasting, well-cooked, and brilliantly presented food.
You’re invited to choose from an extensive menu that has something to please all taste buds. For those who prefer Masala to Madras, there are plenty of options to choose from. Our menus have a wide choice of vegeterian selection to choose from. Our chefs are extremely proud of the specialties, offering you innovative cuisine that has been inspired from throughout South Asia.
Using spices and herbs from different regions, Ronaq welcomes you to discover the exciting and delicious taste of cooking styles from across south Asia. Whether you like authentic Punjabi home cooking from Lahore in Pakistan, Kashmiri cuisine, flavoursome Indian dishes or Bangladeshi specialities, our chef’s will deliver it perfectly to your taste.
We welcome children of all ages and will be more than happy to provide high chairs where needed. Our menus include a children’s section too and we will always go out of our way to keep the little ones happy.
If you are searching for an Indian Restaurant in Edinburgh that offers you exquisite cuisine in a contemporary atmosphere, we’re a company that believes that an excellent meal isn’t just about the food, although that is extremely important. It’s about the experience too.
Really great food in a lovely restaurant
Always fantastic food and service
Delicious food. Great service. Fab location.
Excellent food and service. Only comment would be that the background music was a bit 'elevator musak'. Only noticed as we dined early and the restaurant was quiet.
Best Indian I've ever had in Edinburgh. The calibre of the King Prawns were amazing. Attentive, friendly and courteous staff. Will have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a restaurant to anyone I know in, or planning to go through to Edinburgh. Already reviewed on TripAdvisor. 10/10 *****
Staff were very friendly and the food was amazing
Staff were really welcoming, friendly, professional and very efficient, service was excellent. Food was superb, initially thought that the servings looked a bit small, eyes bigger than my belly! As it turned out the portion size was absolutely bang on. Food was presented to the table very quickly after order was placed, atmosphere was very good with nice views over to Edinburgh centre. Would definitely return for more and would recommend to friends and family.
Excellent food and excellent service, best Indian restaraunt in the centre of Edinburgh
Fantastic food, great service, excellent value and lovely restaurant and setting, 30 seconds off the Royal Mile. Four of us were visiting from North Wales for the rugby and found this on google search - not realising it was just by our hotel the Adagio aparthotel so was perfect for us. Two had Rogan josh, one had tikka and one had dopiaza, we shared pilau rice, chips, poppadoms and dips. Will be back again I’m sure. Zoe
First class. Will be back
Overpriced and small portions
We all had a beautiful meal. Every single one of us enjoyed our dishes. Fantastic value for money. Very modern restaurant in an up and coming area of the city.
Great tasting food and generally very good service
Food delicious, service great and really friendly
Thought the main courses could have included accompaniments. Only the Tikka dishes were inclusive of rice! Service was very efficient. Location good. Staff were very friendly.
beautiful place, friendly staff, lovely food
I had a party of thirteen attending for Dinner and everyone was so impressed. Quality of meals was first class and the level of service from everyone involved could not be bettered. Prices slightly on the high side, but for the quality of food and surroundings, still acceptable. Would happily return.
Outstanding food. Excellent service and would thoroughly recommend. Will revisit very soon
Really good value lunch and a good choice. Superb dahl. Very quiet day I was there so lacking atmosphere but good view for people watching.
Greeted well on arrival. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. We were able to eat at our own pace, breaks in between courses, not rushed. Would certainly eat here again if I’m in Edinburgh.
The food was amazing, lovely staff, would 100% recommended this restaurant to everyone!!
We were so disappointed with the service!! Why do you not have a Manager? the staff just stand around laughing and joking and the service was shocking, the restaurant was empty and one waiter just leaned against a chair for ages. When we left the waiters were all messing about outside the restaurant, we were so shocked no one seems to care. The owner must deal with this dreadful service it really is outrageous! We were so surprised it was so empty at 8pm on a Saturday night....now we know why
Food and service excellent
Our party of four had a lovely meal and we’ll definitely be back!
Great food and lovely restaurant. One star down for atmosphere purely because it was a fairly quiet evening on our visit... otherwise perfect in everyway :-)
