About Rodean Restaurant
Once a former butchers, converted into a restaurant in 1983. Our family took over in 1999 and over the past fifteen years, the Rodean and it's team have worked hard with our main aim to provide consistency throughout. Changing seasonal menus, Wine & Dine Evenings and special dining events supporting as many local producers as possible. We love to do what we do and are grateful for all the support our guests have given us over the past years.
Excellent food and service, would highly recommend to my friends who live in the area.
Looking forward to the next time ........soon
Fantastic food and evening
Wonderful food in a lovely restaurant. Had a great time for my Mother's birthday.
Very nice evening
We were celebrating a birthday whilst on holiday and had read some great reviews of the restaurant. The wonderful meal we experienced did not disappoint and fully justified the reviews. We really appreciated how the chef catered for our daughter who is normally quite fussy but ate every bit! Would definitely recommend and will return when we are in the area again.
celebrating our anniversary well looked after
Sunday lunch was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion. The menu provided a challenge to decide which of the delicious dishes to choose and the wines were excellent. Looking forward to returning soon.
Our favourite eating place
Great tasting food and really interesting choices.
Fantastic food and service!
Excellent as usual. Always a delight to eat at the Rodean. The Wine and Dine evenings are always special
A lovely evening with excellent food and wines to match each course. Fantastic. The sea bass and Chenin blanc was an excellent pairing of wine and food.
Consistently good food and service.
This restaurant was a perfect place to celebrate our son's graduation from Exeter University whilst staying at a B&B (The Old Vicarage) in Kenton. The food was of a very high standard (I've not seen my husband so enthusiastic about mushrooms before or my son rave about scallops!), the service first class and the ambience/general setting very much to my taste. Special without being too fussy, and personal enough to feel a treat was being had whilst feeling comfortable.
As always.. wonderful food, excellent service.
Accommodated us at short notice to celebrate my daughters graduation. Matt created delicious and imaginative vegan menu for my daughter - very impressed! Sensational flavours all round and attentive staff made for a truly special dining experience! Back soon....
A small family run restaurant which keeps up very high standards and with a lovely personal touch. Would recommend as a very special night out Excellent food and served with pride
Fantastic !! A big thank you to the waiters who were very attentive and very knowledgeable when needed but NEVER in your face or crowding, Michelin standard food, blown away thank you all so much xxx
Thank you for a fantastic meal and excellent service. We very much appreciated the effort you made for our sons graduation and our daughters coeliac needs. One of the best meals out we have had and we look forward to returning.
Incredible find, this place is a gem and worth every minute of the 10 minute journey from the city centre. Great food, excellent service, nothing too much trouble. ALL the dishes expertly cooked and presented with style, great menu choice and locally sourced. Don't dither, just book it!
We had the tasting menu and it was absolutely delicious. Good value at £50 for five courses plus amuse-bouche and home-made bread. Wine was also very good value Food was excellently presented and service great. Decor in main restaurant area could do with a bit of updating - slightly dated (the front area was much fresher and modern). Would definitely recommend - fantastic quality food.
Service tapered off towards the end of the meal, almost like they wanted us to stay. Amazing food though.
Fantastic food, excellent value, friendly service!
