About Rockfish Dartmouth
This was our first restaurant, which overlooks the spectacular river Dart. The river is full of ever changing activity, from fishing & sailing boats to super yachts, there is something new and interesting everyday throughout the year. Our restaurant has 90 covers with an upstairs area that can be hired for private celebrations and in warm days we have a small terrace to eat in the sun. During the colder months the restaurant is heated by a log burner which makes it a great place to come and enjoy seafood after a bracing walk by the sea. We also have a take-away situated at the top of the ramp of the Lower Ferry, serving thesame great seafood which can be enjoyed on the watersedge in Bayards cove with a cold pint from the Dartmouth Arms.
Good evening out
Every time we visit Dartmouth we have a meal in The Rockfish - as my star rating suggests, it is a great fish restaurant!
Connor was brilliant. Even got a birthday card from everyone. Totally love Rockfish Dartmouth always have a great experience
Excellent place to eat fresh fish.
Easy to book online. Friendly but not obtrusive service, Very tasty food. Looking forward to coming again some time.
Really enjoyed the experience, knowledgeable staff giving lots of information about the various fish of the day, beautifully cooked, lovely ambiance and not too expensive.
Joanie is wonderful.. The fish was really fresh and delicious, we had it grilled. Service was attentive. Looking forward to our next visit. Anthony and Alistair
Good quality, well cooked hake and monkfish but chips not crisp, salad covered in a nasty, (bottled?) dressing, which didn’t go with fish. Bread £2.50 for a slice. Very poor value compared with the £20 locals lunch at your sister restaurant, Seahorse, which we enjoyed today. That included bread, amuse bouche, and three course meal
Good quality simple food as usual
This is fish and chips at its best. Yes, you pay more at The Rockfish than at the chippy down the road but you are buying into the quality of the food, the service (which is excellent) and the whole experience of eating in this establishment. Always a pleasure.
Brillliant atmosphere, fish like it used to be....big and flaky ...delicious
Soggy, cold chips which were quickly replaced by beautiful crisp and hot ones 😊 Personally , prefer more individual tables rather than long banquette seating - not much privacy. We prefer Exmouth and Weymouth. However the fish was marvellous , and that is what it's all about !!!
Efficient friendly service. Good food served simply.
Excellent cod and chips, excellent and very courteous and attentive helpful service by all, Thank you, (73rd Birthday).
service a bit slow-people turned away but empty tables all the time we were there
We dined with yourselves on Saturday 21st Sept at your Dartmouth restaurant. The service staff did their best but as they seemed incredibly under staffed but we ordered starters and mains and waited 90 mins for our mains to arrive from ordering, it was incredibly hard to get attention of staff for drinks and then when we ordered they were slow to arrive. My starter of squid was lovely but my main was disappointing, I ordered hake which was half of the size of my fiancé’s haddock. I’d kept myself all day from eating and received a 6 inch piece of hake with chips for £14.95 plus £3 I think for curried mushy peas. We both felt the fish and chips were greasy which was surprising as we thought the restaurant was more high end, at £90 it was an expensive experience for such slow service and average food. We were really looking forward to visiting yourselves and will definitely be back to Dartmouth but sadly after this experience I feel not to Rockfish.
Our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive. The Brill was excellent.
Lovely food and a lovely atmosphere
Amazeballs- fishy fishy on a great big dishy, and all GF for my attention seeking wife!
A great visit. Food, service and atmosphere were all first class.
Great food, the presentation and quality of the fish was outstanding. The service provided by Lucy was very professional and friendly. Very enjoyable visit
The food is excellent. Best seafood restaurant chain in the South West.
