About Rockfish Dartmouth
This was our first restaurant, which overlooks the spectacular river Dart. The river is full of ever changing activity, from fishing & sailing boats to super yachts, there is something new and interesting everyday throughout the year. Our restaurant has 90 covers with an upstairs area that can be hired for private celebrations and in warm days we have a small terrace to eat in the sun. During the colder months the restaurant is heated by a log burner which makes it a great place to come and enjoy seafood after a bracing walk by the sea. We also have a take-away situated at the top of the ramp of the Lower Ferry, serving thesame great seafood which can be enjoyed on the watersedge in Bayards cove with a cold pint from the Dartmouth Arms.
Fabulous service. Food good but a side should be included at these prices. Chips and salad surely?
We had an excellent lunch at Rockfish in Dartmouth. My husband declared it to be "the best fish and chips ever". You must book so as not to be disappointed. Lots of "walk ins" were turned away when we were there.
This Rockfish venue is the best in the chain.
Very slow service. Been many times. The worst service speed ever.
We had to wait ages for our mains, they must have forgotten about us and we had to ask several times before someone brought them. Otherwise the food was very nice and there was a good choice of things to eat and drink.
We really enjoyed our meal. I’d say the service was a tad slow but not a huge issue. The only disappointing course was my husband’s starter of cockles whuch didn’t really have any flavour. Otherwise all good and reasonably priced.
I'm coeliac and every time I go to Rockfish, I leave the place with a big smile. It is the only place, I can eat what I want and everything is available for people with my condition. Thank you Rockfish.
Fresh fish and chips with a number of traditional and quirky choice of mains and sides! A fun, positive atmosphere.
Absolutely brilliant again!!!
Wonderful restaurant with a great set-up, lovely staff and excellent fish & chips.
Staff very friendly and helpful We where seated next to the door and the hostess ensured it.was.closed fully each time.someone came in our went out so.we.didnt get.cold
Very busy whilst we were at Rockfish as you might expect for this time of year. service from the staff was very good, very attentive as always. The food was excellent as usual.
Excellent as usual !!
Really great service, very helpful. Really lovely food. I eat gluten free food and the choice is brilliant. I love Rockfish and always recommend to friends and family.
2nd visit to Rock Fish Dartmouth and yet again good service and excellent food
Delicious food. We had cod and chips which was crispy and melt in your mouth. Our daughter has Coeliac disease and it was great she could have some proper fish and chips and not feel excluded. After sampling gluten free batter and gluten batter we actually all loved the gluten free batter which was so light and crispy, not soggy like it can be from supermarket type GF battered fish. In summary both GF and normal battered fish and chips all fantastic (but a major thumbs up for the GF food).
Fabulous as normal. I recently went to a very expensive seafood restaurant in Central London, Rockfish was far better. It never disappoints.
Fantastic all round, we visited twice in a week! Well done Team Rockfish
Lovely Fish and Chips
Excellent food and great service. My wife is coeliac and she said you have the best gluten free fish and chips!
Fabulous as always.
Great evening out, ta :-)
Great fish choices......nice to try something different, great service.
This is the first time we’ve been to Rockfish as we usually come to the Seahorse - which we love. However, we thoroughly enjoyed Rockfish too and will come back! Our only complaint was the impossible parking in Dartmouth which we know you have no control over. Best wishes to you all!
Excellent, though I did comment that the 'sand sole' was rather thin and dry. A bad choice on my part possibly.
