About Rockfish Dartmouth
This was our first restaurant, which overlooks the spectacular river Dart. The river is full of ever changing activity, from fishing & sailing boats to super yachts, there is something new and interesting everyday throughout the year. Our restaurant has 90 covers with an upstairs area that can be hired for private celebrations and in warm days we have a small terrace to eat in the sun. During the colder months the restaurant is heated by a log burner which makes it a great place to come and enjoy seafood after a bracing walk by the sea. We also have a take-away situated at the top of the ramp of the Lower Ferry, serving thesame great seafood which can be enjoyed on the watersedge in Bayards cove with a cold pint from the Dartmouth Arms.

The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was delicious. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.
Freshly cooked and as good as always
Lovely food. The monkfish was excellent.I had been told to try the curried peas, which I did and loved them. Will definitely be back
The service was quite rushed - very efficient but it all happened very quickly.
Fantastic food , fish beautifully cooked scrummy!
Wonderful as usual ,cannot fault anything ,we are local ,its just a shame we can't afford to come in every week .Love it .And the service is exceptional ,she really knows how to look after the customer .TOP MARKS ALL ROUND .And thank you .Linda & John Chillington .
Grreat service from the lovely Joanie and the team at Rockfish Dartmouth. this is my favourite of your restaurants even though others are closer.
very friendly and reliably good.
It was a birthday treat for my celiac girlfriend and having a gluten free menu was very special for both of us! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and night out! Richard Williams
Too be recommended !! It’s great
A perfect setting for a celebratory meal in a relaxed setting after a busy week, thank you.
Lemon Sole excellent as was the Cod & Chips, need a Rockfish in South Hampshire.
Vegan burger is incredible.... Highly recommended!
Staff knowledgeable about the fish on offer. Generous portions. Friendly staff.
Very busy and only 1 special fish. We've visited Rockfish across Devon many times but this was our worst experience. Poor, slow service, limited fish options.
Excellent food and we were well looked after. We love the addition of the allergen information menu and the care taken in meeting specific dietary needs.
I don’t mind donating to any local cause but I don’t like to just find something on the bill. This was the best food we had in Dartmouth, will definitely go back.
Fantastic as always. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with just the right touch of attentiveness and space. Great selection of fresh, local fish. Mussels to die for. Unlimited chips is a bonus! Keep up the great work Rockfish!
Enjoyable evening, great food and service as always and ending with a pure comedy moment when my wife couldn’t get out of the loo as the door handle broke off in her hand and had to ring me in the restaurant to release her! Classic.
The service was very friendly. The daily choice was extensive. The starter, one prawns, one scallops, were delicious. Similarly, the main of haddock in lovely batter, and the pan fried Lemon Sole were bounteous. We had a great time. Thankyou.
We both had the chowder. One of the best ever. Cheryl the had another entree; wonderful crab croquettes while I had battered Polock. Wonderfully moist. We had no room for desert. We returned the next day, late in the afternoon, and had entrees again. Finally had our deserts. Both the Deep Fried Cream Tea and Eaton Mess. What's a seafood restaurant doing serving exceptional deserts? We are staying in an apartment next door for the week and will be back as often as possible. Hope the chowder is on every day.
The locally caught hake (grilled with a bit of garlic butter on the skin) was delicious. The white burgundy to accompany it helped a lot too.
Great food and drink as usual. Fortunately we had already been served our meals when the whole street suffered a power cut! The staff were very jolly about it and we all dined on under the emergency lights. Made for an even more memorable evening!
The power cut made things interesting. Not sure how well staff had been trained to deal with such an incident.
Great food give the battered pickled onion ring a go. My family and i really enjoyed our evening in Dartmouth.
