About Rick Stein Winchester
Rick Stein, Winchester, Hampshire was our first restaurant to open outside of Cornwall. With a nod towards our coastal heritage, this restaurant brings the freshest fish, simply cooked to the high street Winchester. On our menus there’s something for everyone and every occasion, from leisurely lunches with friends to a romantic dinner and everything in between. Stop by for light bite from our new bar menu, perfect for a quick something after work or before an afternoon of shopping – available at lunch and dinner until 6.30pm.
First visit to a Rick Stein, it won't be the last.
Excellent food and service highly recommended
Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a happy memorable occasion. AND for making her favourite dessert, the white chocolate panna cotta, especially for her! We will definitely be back again soon. xx
An ineffable experience! :-)
We were really impressed with the service-especially with Charlie our server and also, we had notified the restaurant ahead of a severe nut allergy of one of our party and she had her own personal menu!
Fabulous fresh seafood, the oysters and mussels were superb.
The colleagues in your restaurant are fabulous, friendly and really helpful. Absolutely made our lunch they are an absolute credit.
We had a faboulas lunch, great service, very attentive. The food was out of this world. Big thank you for making our day even more special.
Absolutely fantastic, all of the staff did a little bit extra to make our anniversary really special. Cant wait for another special occasion to celebrate.
We had the 2-course lunch set menu. Nicely cooked and tasty dishes. Service was very friendly and efficient, and price was very reasonable. Overall, very happy.
The restaurant is comfortable but I feel the lighting is too bright and tablecloths seem to have disappeared again which makes everything much harsher. The food was very good indeed and I feel is really good value for money
Food is always amazing at Rick Steins, but this time Service was truly stunning. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect celebration meal, even ordering in lobster specially for my son and decorating his desert with a good luck message. THANK YOU!
Lovely restaurant and amazing food. Will be back.
Worst fish pie ever eaten. There was very little fish. Dry mash potato and peas. Very disappointing
We had a fantastic time celerbrating a family engagement. The whole team couldn't do enough for us all. The food was excellent.
It was great thank you
Great service, Great food which was 10/10 but I thought the prices of the glass of wine were over the top. If there were individual prices for glasses on the menu we would have chosen a bottle. Other than that it was a delightful experience.
FOOD WAS VERY GOOD OTHER THAN DESSERT WHICH WAS VERY POOR
This is our first time to a Rick Stein restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner as the food was delicious. The oyster was very fresh. My ray wing was cooked perfectly. And my husband loved the tiramisu. I felt that the sashimi could be sliced thicker as what I would usually have in Singapore or Japan. My husband was not a fan of the sauce for the seabass because of the fish sauce. I would suggest that the menu should mention about fish sauce as it can be overwhelming for some people.
Everything about our experience at Rick Stein was excellent, the service impeccable and the food faultless we will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family thank you
My husband and I had a wonderful birthday meal at the Winchester Restaurant. The meal was Devine and the service was fantastic. Our booking was for 3pm and the restaurant was almost full the only thing I would say is the noise in the restaurant due to the open kitchen a lot of clanging about with the chefs hard at work. Although as the late launchers left it became much quieter which was much nicer. All together a wonderful experience we will most definitely be returning.
I went to the Padstow Seafood Restaurant early August and came away a little hungry and not altogether satisfied, after a lunch. I am in Winchester with a friend and had had no idea Rick Stein had a restaurant here. So wanting to try again, and this time NOT order Singapore Chili Crab, we came for dinner and it was a totally different experience! The ambiance was better, the food plentiful and delicious (I felt I made a better choice with sashimi and sea bass) and the bill nothing like as high as one would expect for such quality. Thank you all in Winchester for one of my best ever meals!!
We were trialling out the restaurant as a planned venue for a family celebration. Whilst everything was lovely - food and service, the wooden floors and no soft furnishings (which I appreciate is en vogue for restaurants over recent years) made it hard to hear conversation, so does not suit our planned celebration
Excellent food and excellent service, will definitely come again and have already recommended the restaurant to several people!
