About Rick Stein Marlborough
Guests can join us throughout the day; from 9am for coffee and cake, light lunches and cosy dinners with main courses from £10.95 and Rick's iconic dishes likes lobster and turbot are of course on the main for those special celebrations. We've also introduced a breakfast menu at the weekend, so you can start the day right on the high street.
A lovely lunch during the Christmas break and with all the Cv-19 restrictions in place. Service was excellent and the food (we all had the fish curry) was outstanding, if a little pricey. Three older people opposite seemed intent on wandering around without wearing masks, which was annoying but otherwise the atmosphere was pleasant. I always think the wooden chairs are a bit uncomfortable.
Our waiter was exceptional, perfect in every way. I'm a bit of a tiramisu lover and I mentioned to him that it was the most bland version I had ever tasted. He assured me that this was how Rick liked it........ well I'm a little sad to hear that as it didn't taste of anything - not coffee - not alcohol - didn't come up to expectations at all. However we still had a lovely meal with you.Thank you
Great Sunday Morning breakfast, superb kippers!!!
Totally lovely meal. We'd not deliberately planned to squeeze in a last night out pre tier 3, but what a lovely way to spend it. Delicious food and warm, friendly service. See you all on the other side!
This is a difficult time so all taken with good intent. Service was wonderful. Food was good but the Christmas Pudding was microwaved beyond recognition - waitress couldn’t have handled things better and this was taken from the bill. 12.5% service charge added as standard was well earned but added as standard still grates. Funny time given Covid but other diners were all over the place social distancing etc. One of the tables was most definitely not cleaned thoroughly between sittings - wiping the chair down with a hand probably doesn’t really cut it. When all is well again probably would go back. Stay safe.
Great team yummy food. Really nice Experience. Very accommodating for young kids. All in all brilliant
Felt that we had stepped back in time to pre Covid while feeling very safe with all the safety precautions in place. Thank you to all the team at Rick Stein.
Fantastic service as always, even with the Covid restrictions. Excellent selections of high quality food.
Fantastic food and service as always from Rick Stein restaurants
Excellent service , delicious food and good atmosphere considering the circumstances we are living through, that said I am not sure I felt as “safe” as I have in other COVID secure restaurants and feel a little more could be done to protect against the virus - just my opinion and it didn’t detract from the excellent service
love it there. had many visits.
Everything was good except for the confit duck dish. I asked for a jus / sauce and was told that ‘it doesn’t come with anything’. It was dry and really poor and the waitress / kitchen didn’t offer any solution. The rest of the food was good and the drink selection was great.
The very best. Perhaps nearly as good as The Kronenhalle in Zurich!
Our waitress was lovely and very good. Delicious food. Buzzing atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Birthday message on plate lovely touch. Limited rose selection. Very nice decor helping to create relaxed atmosphere. Chalky beer very pleasant
The team did a great job given the current COVID constraints and safety measures. As always the quality was excellent, service was a little slower than usual but as attentive as always.
Very good covid experience here with nicely spaced tables, staff wearing masks etc.
Went for lunch and selected the set menu 2 courses. My wife went for the Cauliflower Fritters when they arrived it was warm with a sauce, no batter or fried.. when queried we were told it was the RS interpretation. Not as we know to be a fritter, very disappointing. Also the very good wine came in a dirty glass. Main courses were acceptable without being great. Not good value for money. Questionable if we return.
We had a new waitress, Emma on first floor..... lovely girl, did a great job. Food was amazing
atmosphere was exactly as we expected due to it being a Sunday night between Christmas and new year and with Covid restrictions. the overall experience and dinner was really good and we would definitely re-visit.
I had a very enjoyable evening with you but my main course of Ray Wing had a very strong smell of ammonia so am surprised it was even sent out to my table. When I complained a replacement dish if hake was served which I enjoyed and was not charged for.
Sophie was a wonderful waitress/host. She was very efficient, charming - a credit to your restaurant. Looking forward to coming back under normal circumstances.
It's was the first time we have visited the restaurant. The overall experience was excellent. The staff were always at hand, very helpful, an excellent service. The food was very delicious, and well presented. The interior design was very tastefull, with some very nice touches. Would certainly recommend, and will return in the future.
Our atmosphere was wonderful. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. We were served by a waitress called Sophie who made our experience at Rick Stein’s very pleasant. Would recommend highly and will definitely come again.
Outstanding food and service and a great location
