About Rick Stein Marlborough
Located at Lloran House on the high street in Marlborough, guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and turbot hollandaise as well as a selection of new dishes from his Mexican adventure, including battered mackerel with mayonnaise, chilli sauce and lime and ceviche of sea bass and prawns.
Alongside the main lunch and dinner menu, we also offer a set menu available for lunch and early dinner, Sunday to Friday.
Cannot fault anything. Had a wonderful lunch, will definitely be back soon.
The food was very average and not good enough at this price point. My John Dory was overdone and dry and my potatoes were very under cooked. I was entertaining a client so didn't complain but it was pretty poor and an unsophisticated experience.
Excellent food and service from all staff. Our 5 year old really enjoyed her complementary birthday plate. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. We look forward to coming again soon 😃
All very good things breed only points that’ were negative being offer an appetiser and explaining I didn’t order it then 5 mins later the same dish being put in my table we ate it and were charged £4.95 and £4.95 for still water that sort of thing in s irritating
We were sat near a draughty window, but otherwise surroundings were very good. Staff were very polite & courteous, food was brought in a timely manner. We enjoyed a wonderful meal.
Delicious lunch, and good value, especially when using the set lunch menu. We enjoyed it very much!! Thank you
slow service but nice person! My potatoes were over cooked which were served with John Dory. Fish was very tasty.
Had a really lovely meal & service from Elliot was great. It was to celebrate my & my Husband's Wedding Anniversary. I really like the Ceviche and the Dover Sole is incredible! Chocolate Fondant is so worth the wait. A lovely touch with the Anniversary plate with Fudge at the end. Thank you!
Having a night away with my husband who was working in the area and we saw the restaurant in the information in our hotel. It was easy to book online. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table and the waiter took our coats. We were offered water to start. After a few minutes we had our drinks order taken and then our food order. The food was really good tasty and not heavy. We opted for a sharing desert which was lovely. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. We will definitely use again.
Set lunch menu which was first class - very enjoyable. Unfortunately the service wasn't up the usual standard and we had to wait some time for the food to be served.
We felt that our table was a little too close to other customers so not a lot of privacy . If possible would like to see an improvement in this.
Everything was superb, Emily looked after us fantastically, my only criticism would be that the coffees were slow in coming and a few people never received theirs. However you were very busy and the small room was just what we required Thank You
This was our 3rd visit. Food lovely as always but disappointing lack of sides to come with the meals. I ordered lemon sole, which was quite an expensive meal, and the only sides with the fillets were a few new potatoes. It wouldn’t hurt to have some cavelo nero, spring greens or something to add colour. Having to order them separately for £4 is not good. We were in a room of 3 smaller tables and a large one. The large table dominated the room to such an extent that one table near us asked to move, and the table next to us also had to complain. We accepted the noise was due to a fun evening, but it wasn’t an ideal layout. It was hard to hear eachother speak. Our waitress was attentive at the beginning of the meal, but as soon as the room emptied out disappeared from sight. We waited 15 mins for someone to come back into the room to ask for the bill, and even that girl had only come to clear a dirty table that had been left for 30 mins. All in all, it’s a nice experience but not one we’ll repeat for a long while. There are plenty of other places that provide equal standards of food at a better value for money.
Great food, tables a little close together and only 1 person on service so a bit slow, however, still an enjoyable lunch and will visit again
Lovely atmosphere, great food and really good service. We love coming here!
Great Menu, great service and generally lovely venue and location.
Lovely in every way.Try the fish soup! Divine!
The food was delicious and the service very efficient. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and will be back.
We really had a super evening, good food and wine in a welcoming atmosphere.
We have booked to come back again already! Great food and amazing place. Only downside is how close the tables are together!
Had a great meal at Steins in Marlborough on Friday. Food was very fresh and well cookedand a great selection of flavours. My husband enjoyed his Indonesian curry even though he is not a fish fanatic like me. Thanks will definitely be back
Great meal and very good service
Very good food, excellent value, my mum is pretty fussy but even she was thrilled, we’ll definitely be back
