About Rick Stein Marlborough
Located at Lloran House on the high street in Marlborough, guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and turbot hollandaise as well as a selection of new dishes from his Mexican adventure, including battered mackerel with mayonnaise, chilli sauce and lime and ceviche of sea bass and prawns.
Alongside the main lunch and dinner menu, we also offer a set menu available for lunch and early dinner, Sunday to Friday.
Amazing food, staff, service, atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Excellent meal, thank you
The food was very good but I feel a little overpriced
Enjoyed the meal we had on Saturday evening. The food was excellent as usual, very attentive waitress and a good atmosphere. We have eaten here a number of times and definitely will be back.
This is my 2nd visit together with my son who is at the nearby school. We will definitely be coming more often. Very attractive looking restaurant with excellent food.
Brilliant meal. Lovely staff and great food, especially the Albanian mussels. Great company too from other diners. We will come back soon.
Travelled 4.5 hrs from Newcastle to attend the restaurant as a surprise for my partners 40th. I booked a table months ago for 19:00 however on arrival at 18:50 I was informed our table wasn’t ready & we didn’t get seated until 19:40 so slightly frustrating. However the food & service was outstanding & surpassed all expections. We would definitely return & I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
Incredibly delicious meal, well presented and high quality of food. Service is also very good. Highly Recommended!
I left feeling comfortably full. When I asked for a recipe the waitress returned with the kitchen copy recipe book signed by Rick. The chef was lucky to get that back. Outstanding Aniversery lunch, really put me in the good books with the wife, for a few days at least.
Rick Steins was very helpful in organising our evening for 23 people, including a couple of very late additions. The meal choice was good, the quality and quantities excellent and the service very attentive.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere.
We had a delicious meal, but I felt the tables were too close together which felt intrusive.
Always consistent- always enjoyable
Lovely food and drink served by great staff who clearly enjoy what they do. Thanks for the Anniversary surprise at the end, very impressive!
Strange how the portion sizes in upmarket restaurants always seem in inverse proportion to the price. Left feeling distinctly under-fed, the set menu didn't seem all that set as you had to pay extra for sides, so all in all, we didn't feel it offered value for money. What we did have, however, we couldn't fault, just that there wasn't much of it.
Our waitress Bel was very good. She provided excellent service and was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was the perfect place to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. The food and wines were very good. 😁👍
Enjoyed our visit as always. Lovely staff, great experience.
Decent food, really good wine. Service was tremendous. Touch pricy though!
A lovely evening for a birthday celebration. Our two waitresses Izzy and Annabelle were welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic. With a gluten-free dietary requirement, we were advised on the suitability of the dishes, along with informative recommendations. We had the cuttlefish risotto and scallops to start and the Indonesian curry and beetroot hummus for mains. Couldn’t fault the food in any way. Thank you for a wonderful evening
Noise diners on next table
A fantastic meal and excellent service for a special evening! Slightly noisy at times but then we were slightly noisy at times too!
My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch experience and will definitely be coming back. We have noticed that many restaurants start with high standards and gradually drop over time. We do hope this is not going to be the case here.
My children always look forward to coming back here, staff are very welcoming to children. Menu is great for them too. They love the fish & chips! Brownie is alway a winner for them! I loved my meal too, always great food whenever I come. Staff are friendly and efficient. Thank you!
The dining room and the service were really first class. I did, however, feel that the food was variable and generally didn't have a wow factor that I have experienced at RS's previously. The lobster Thermidor was competent but not outstanding, and the the fish curry, the sardines and the cuttlefish risotto were reasonably good but nothing elevated them far above competent. And whilst the puddings were generally pretty good, the Gratin dieppoise really wasn't up to the standards I would expect. So we were a tiny bit disappointed. A little sharpening up in the kitchen required.
