About Rick Stein Marlborough
Located at Lloran House on the high street in Marlborough, guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and turbot hollandaise as well as a selection of new dishes from his Mexican adventure, including battered mackerel with mayonnaise, chilli sauce and lime and ceviche of sea bass and prawns.
Alongside the main lunch and dinner menu, we also offer a set menu available for lunch and early dinner, Sunday to Friday.
An excellent lunch on my friends 80th Birthday.
Lovely food. Very welcoming and family friendly. Menu was varied and delicious.
Excellent was really impressed for a chain
Amazing food and excellent service, all round a lovely evening.
Everything was excellent. Only downside was that one of our party ordered the Mackerel Fillets for a starter, but it only came with one fillet rather than plural.
Excellent service and meal. It was a Monday night and therefore quite quiet, but we our group of 7 had a lovely evening and will be back soon.
Lovely comfortable relaxing lunch with exceptional food and service. Everything about it was memorable.
We had the set meal and it was such a bargain. Delicious food and great service. We will be back.
Had a wonderful lunch from the set menu. The food was delicious and great value. The service was excellent from the second we entered the restaurant. We absolutely loved the decor and atmosphere. The whole experience was really special. Thank you, we can't wait to visit you again.
Friendly staff, menu had a good selection to choose from, food was delicious. Lovely dinning area.
From the moment we stepped through the door the service was beyond appalling. There was no member of staff to greet us, the barman didn't even acknowledge us, he was to busy flirting with the two 18 year old girls at bar. In the end we had to wander towards the kitchens to find any staff. Getting a drink took forever, the white wine was wrong and when sent back didn't reappear until we requested it again. We were celebrating an 18th birthday and had ordered the Rick Stein Blanc de Blanc, this had to be requested twice and then the staff were still determined to serve the red wine first. We had wrong meals delivered at every course and the pudding took 25 minutes to arrive despite only being the cheesecake. At over £400 for 6 of us you can rest assured I will not be bothering to visit again.
All round a delicious meal especially the oven baked Hake. Definitely will return.
Good food...some dishes better than others. Fabulous service making for a very special evening
The venue is lovely, staff very friendly, food good. We just felt it was “Monday night” in the kitchen. The muscles starter was cold - it was however resolved quickly, the presentation of the fish dish was a bit sloppy / where the plate had been wiped quickly after it arrived upstairs left a smear around the plate - these are small and quite easy to remedy issues - maybe serve the butter sauce in a jug that’s poured on top at the table? We couldn’t argue that the taste of the food was excellent - just felt simple things could have been better.
great food, lovely restaurant. Certainly be back.
Our visit was pleasant. The service was really good, however our food was disappointing. Myself and my friend ordered the Cod and Chips. The cod was overdone and there wasn’t much cod inside the batter. The chips were also overcooked and the pea purée wasn’t very warm. Our desert was Marlborough pudding which was enjoyable however the custard was luke warm. I have eaten there a few times and was really quite disappointed as it was my friends first time.
Very nice post-afternoon College Concert early supper for our group of 5 guests. Special price: £17.95 for two courses. It was a 5.30 pm booking and the restaurant was fairly quiet. Over-all, a pleasant change from previous experiences which had been rather disappointing.
Our main course was over cooked and although we were offered a replacement it was too late
We really enjoyed our visit and will return . Fish was lovely and fresh plus service was very good.
All four of our party enjoyed excellent meals. We chose Marlborough because it is equidistant between ourselves near Worcester and our cousins from Denham, Bucks. We were unhurried throughout the meal and left to continue chatting until 5pm. We really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere
A really lovely meal, service and great birthday experience. Thank you
Only criticism is that the side order of chips was tiny!
First visit and I enjoyed my experience and will certainly be visiting again
