About Rick Stein Marlborough
Located at Lloran House on the high street in Marlborough, guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and turbot hollandaise as well as a selection of new dishes from his Mexican adventure, including battered mackerel with mayonnaise, chilli sauce and lime and ceviche of sea bass and prawns.
Alongside the main lunch and dinner menu, we also offer a set menu available for lunch and early dinner, Sunday to Friday.
Food was delicious, wine was excellent, service was very attentive but not too invasive. All in all a lovely evening for a birthday celebration.
Excellent visit made all the more enjoyable being waited on by the very helpful Jessica Everett (I think). Splendid, thank you!
All the right ingredients for a perfect evening with friends. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Not least, the food was delicious.
My wife and I came here to celebrate her birthday with a full, appetiser and 3 course lunch. Our visit was absolutely superb, nice atmosphere complimented by just enough staff interface at the table, topped off by a selection from across the menu (not the set menu) which was nothing but outstanding.
Good service with excellent food
Excellent food and service as always
Food is excellent quite expensive so ideal for a birthday treat waitress was very knowledgable and treating my husbands nut allergy with grest care will certainly be back 😊
First impressions matter and having booked a table ,had a polite greeting and ordered some pre lunch drinks . We didn’t get them until 15 mins after we arrived and at the same time as some bread & our first course turned up. And to add to matters the ‘slimline’ tonic we ordered wasn’t slimline ! Not at all what we expected from such a prestigious restaurant. Your team recovered the situation with lovely service and food from then on but as I say, first impressions matter enormously.
Corking establishment, tremendous menu and service. For other local diners: way better than Winchester, far closer to the Stein experience in Padstow. Odd the reservation was accepted from 14.30 to 16.30 when the restaurant shuts at 1500, but that was the booking system, and no comments from staff about our inconveniently timed arrival. Thoroughly recommend this branch of a great chain.
As usual A1
Really fantastic, I was nervous about the high prices but it was well worth it and a great experience.
A beautiful setting, the only thing missing was a view of the sea. The staff were exemplary and we couldn't go without. The food was superb, wouldn't of expected anything else! Happy to recommend to everyone I know! Thank you!
Due to the Mop Fair, which I appreciate is out of your control the venue was noisy (we were located at front of restaurant). It would have been appreciated if you had contacted me to advise of the fair including road closure and parking restrictions However overall the evening was very enjoyable with excellent food and service
Starter was too small but food was great and very well cooked
Really lovely evening; the food was delicious, especially the little touches like the hake fishcake amuse bouche and the fudge with the bill at the end. Crab linguine was to die for. The portions were generous and the wine delicious too. Lovely service and very attentive service from all members of staff.
good night and food
We had booked a table for 8.30 and at 8.55 had to ask if our table was yet ready. On ordering the food, the waitress knew nothing about the dishes ordered. We were not given clean cutlery for each course instead the waitress put our used cutlery on the side plate ready to be used again. Also I would have preferred drinking water from a water glass and not a wine glass.
Really good experience
Really lovely evening - great food and drink - fabulous staff
Seafood soup was amazing. Full of flavour. The garlic mayo for the croutons was an unexpected delight. The beetroot in the roasted veg was absolutely delicious.
Fresh oysters the star and the duck pie was very good
The Indonesian Fish Curry is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. That was my conclusion when I tried it in Padstow in the summer. And again when I had it in Marlborough this weekend. Service was brilliant as always. Thank you.
Great meal, Fantastic service , recommend to Anyone
Excellent service, lovely food.. Nice relaxed atmosphere.. No problem with bringing our own decorations for a special birthday party..
