About Rick Stein Marlborough
Located at Lloran House on the high street in Marlborough, guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and turbot hollandaise as well as a selection of new dishes from his Mexican adventure, including battered mackerel with mayonnaise, chilli sauce and lime and ceviche of sea bass and prawns.
Alongside the main lunch and dinner menu, we also offer a set menu available for lunch and early dinner, Sunday to Friday.
We just want to say a massif thank you for such a great lunch. It was amazing and Flynn was fantastic and a great ambassador for your restaurant. His knowledge on all the dishes was tremendous and we even overheard people on the other tables commenting on how attentive he was. He is a great asset to you. We have stayed and eaten at Ricks restaurant in Padstow and its great to find that we no longer have to wait until we go back there to enjoy food of such a high standard. Once again , thanks for such a great lunch and we shall be back!!!! David Grocott
We were a group of 8 and all staying in Marlborough for work and on a work budget. We had either the set meal or two starters. The food was plentiful and delicious and the wine e was reasonably priced. We were so well looked after by the friendly and attentive staff too. A really lovely evening.
Very well cooked sardines and hake, but needed to be served on hot plates. They were cold and that took away some of the pleasure
I visited for my Dads 60th Birthday and we left feeling quite underwhelmed! On arrival the waiter split a drink all over my Dad and when we left, the waiter asked if we wanted to leave a tip!!
I am always sceptical about much hyped celebrity restaurants but Steins good reputation is well deserved. Have given 3 for atmosphere only because It was Sunday evening and very quiet.
The whole experience was first class, the standard of the food was amazing, everything one would expect from a Rick Stein restaurant. I would highly recommend the experience.
Food was great, staff were professional and helpful but we waited far too long for our main course
A lovely relaxing late lunch in opulent surroundings. We had the most delicious meal from the set menu that was good value. Hope to come back soon!
A special birthday and you did me proud.9 of us chose from the a la carte menu and all pronounced the meal as "A tasty treat". As usual I had the Dover sole which was expertly filleted in front of an admiring audience. No pressure! The relaxed unobtrusive service in the elegant small dining room was much appreciated and I won't wait till my next birthday before another treat
The food was delicious but could have done with more apples in the Marlborough Pudding
Our table was reserved a few days beforehand but was not ready until 15 minutes after the time it was booked for. Everything else was wonderful - the food was marvellous and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going here again.
Service a little slow - parties with babies generally have more limited staying power - but made to feel very welcome, well placed in restaurant. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Exquisite Restaurant where fabulous personal service meets the global brand Of superb food preparation and presentation culminating in the most memorable lunch I’ve ever had. We (my wife and I)had crab linguine, battered Mackeral then, calves liver and a beautiful Dover sole prepared off the bone at the table . Obviously we couldn’t do without the Mexican rice pudding with honeycomb and the meal was finished with my signature double expresso. The team were very accommodating on a wet miserable day including our waitress, a young lady who was so charming and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommended!!
A vast improvement on a recent lunch where service at and noisy atmosphere was poor. The service this time was excellent, as was the quiet ambience. Food as usual was in fact excellent and our US visitor was very impressed. His only comment was portion size (a bit small for an American!) and also that for a table of four, we were only served three appetiser bite-size portions of cod. How do you make 3 small bits of fish go between four adults? Either serve 2 portions and price less or be generous and give one portion per person sitting at the table. Otherwise, a great meal and we will keep coming back.
Food was great but lacking atmosphere and a little noisy for an anniversary dinner. Annoying overuse of "we" by staff. Are "we" having a good day, are " we" ready....etc Well staffed and excellent wine list.
Chef was very good at accommodating my food intolerances at short notice.
Shame others at tables weren’t more considerate, we had to eat quick and vacate so couldn’t enjoy the food and experience
Disappointing. Food poorly cooked. Allergy info minimal and poorly understood by staff.
Lovely food and very helpful waiter. Will definitely be returning soon
My husband and I went there for a bday lunch and sat by the window. Service and atmosphere was easy and relaxed. We had starters and main courses from the a la carte menu which was quite ample. Would like to thank them for rather cleverly overhearing a comment about my birthday, and was presented with a celebratory plate of goodies to compliment our coffees..a lovely finishing touch.
3rd or 4th visit. Very enjoyable as always.
First time visit - likely to return!
Friendly service and consistently good food with well priced wines. A little quiet the evening we were there.
