About Rick Stein Barnes
Guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole à la Meunière, Indonesian seafood curry and salt and pepper prawns as well as a selection of new dishes including côte de boeuf steak paired with a béarnaise sauce and served with hand cut chips, inspired by his recent Long Weekends adventure to Bordeaux. Alongside the à la carte menu, we’ll also offer a set lunch menu, available Monday to Friday.
Whilst I have been "regularly" for lunch, it was my first evening for a while. I'll be back.
we had a very nice evening at the restaurant. one minus point:temperature in the serre was a little bit low.
A great time was had by all. Would be nice if parking was available for patrons.
Amazing evening and not as expensive as anticipated for 11 people. Everyone had a fab time and loved all the food!
Great evening had by all 24th wedding anniversary Thank you.
Very enjoyable evening . Excellent food & helpful friendly service .
Booked a window table. Was allowed one but had to ask again. Food good.
I was quite disappointed with my birthday experience. My prawn starter had unripe avocado in it. Our main course of the curry was very low on fish content and our friend who ordered chicken got cold food. He didn't want to mention it to me because it was a special occasion. Our desserts were minute and overall we felt it was a mediocre experience for a lot of money
This was booked a s a birthday treat for my mother and it certainly delivered! My only regret was over my choice of main, which was the crab and proved to be so arduous and time-conduming to remove meat from the claws that the enjoyment was unable to counter-balance the negative of ll the work involved. "Mea culpa" and I will not make the same mistake were I to see the same/similar dish on a menu!
Really enjoyable evening to celebrate a birthday. The slight disappointment of our chosen wine not being available (despite being one of the recommendations!) was more than made up by excellent food and service in a 'buzzy' atmosphere!
As ever, splendid
Great food, a river view table was requested but not given despite a river view table remaining vacant throughout our visit!
Most of dishes were ‘very good’, nothing was ‘exceptiona’.
Thank you for looking after us so well and for remembering that it was our wedding annversary. It was a lovely family occasion made all the better by the really friendly and efficient service. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit to you..
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return
Third time at the restaurant, and has never dissapointed. The staff are professional, friendly ,and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Food is always amazing! We would come more often if we didn't live 3.30 hours away. See you again soon Merry Christmas and a fabulous 2019. Lucy and Jamie
We visited with my sister and our 4 month old. The staff were fantastic and the food was superb.Very accommodating with our baby. I had the sardines and monkfish. Wonderful. My better half took her parents a month or two ago and all were similarly impressed. Will be back.
Delicious as always - only thing was that our service was a little bit slow but it was a busy Friday lunchtime.
Food and wine very good, and Maitre d' accommodated our request for river view seats, and that was before he knew it was a particular occasion for us. When that became known, our desserts were specially decorated. Our waiter was friendly and charming throughout. All in all, a most enjoyable lunch.
Great service and food together with a very relaxing atmosphere
A great experience as usual
Hi - booked for husband’s 50th birthday lunch. We live locally and are fish restaurant enthusiasts. Despite booking several weeks in advance and putting a note on the booking request, and calling ahead, we were denied a window table for our special occasion. When I called I offered to be flexible on the time we arrived (and even the date - despite offering sight of passport to evidence 50th birthday) however despite assurances of best efforts we were denied a table with a view when we arrived. I’m not sure about policy or planning - and these days, £300 is probably not a huge amount of money for lunch for two people under two hours, but I was left feeling underwhelmed by the response.
We all enjoyed ourselves at your restaurant! It was a great experience!
Our first visit and had heard mixed reviews. But our expectations were exceeded. We both enjoyed our choices of food from fixed price menu and our wine. Tasty and interesting combinations with some seasonal inspiration. Very slick and pleasant service. Looking forward to returning.
Atmosphere was not so great but I assumed was because was a monday. Staff was brilliant.
