Although we had booked and had confirmation the restaurant did not know we were coming
When we arrived at the restaurant we were told there was no booking for us and also that they do not have that sort of service, this I found to be very strange, we did get seated though as they had room, but the staff had no idea about the booking process so it left a bad impression on us
Having booked a table in the restaurant online via the hotel’s website, we were surprised at check in to be told that they were not aware of our booking. This was not a problem as the receptionist made the necessary arrangements. However our experience of the restaurant was very disappointing, having to request water three times before our glasses were filled but no water left on the table as other guests had received. One of the main courses was lamb which was full of bone and fat. As a lover of this meat I enjoy the fattiness but this was unfortunately not a good dish. My disappointment with the level of quality of the meat was raised with the waiting staff and at reception when asked by the staff on checking out the following day. It was a shame as the hotel is lovely, in a prime position for the airport and has a comfortable atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our meal and relaxed atmosphere, whilst dining in your hotel. Definitely would return again.
Easy to forget you are dining within the airport...
Below average service and food with above average prices! To be fair, the cost of my main course was deducted from the bill, without me asking.
really nice meal and polite friendly staff
Hotel just over the road from airport departures, good service will use again.
Captive Market but have to say excellent service
I had the hotel house burger and was very nice but my wife had chicken in a bun and sweet potato fries, she didn't like her food all lukewarm warm and ordered rocket and parmesan cheese salad at £3.50 because she was told no salad with bun not worth the money when bun came had 3 large bits of lettuce she would not order this again.
Our meal was very good. Service was excellent. A few more vegetarian options might be useful - especially the starters. All in all a lovely meal.
Good food and service, pleasant surroundings but expensive drinks (spritzer £10.20)
Very good for a hotel restaurant. Food was very good, wine and service excellent. Would eat here again without hesitation. Recommended.
So, so very disappointed. Mentioned birthday and nothing! Ok, here goes: 1. Children: 'Hot' in taste rocket does not go with bland melon for children.Salmon fish fingers are too grown up and we were expecting a white fish. The children's menu was wholly inappropriate and largely left. 2. Adult Mains: Are these cooked or just blast heated in the kitchen? Thai curry watery, pathetic naan bread and almost a block of rice. More like a poor ready meal. My prawns were ok, the noodles chewy and the watery flavouring ok. Again, a very poor ready meal. The cod was fine and the best of all dishes. Having dined here before, this was a very expensive disappointment. Next time I would go to Frankie and Bennys or similar in the terminal. Good hotel, good rooms, good location but very very poor restaurant. I wish I had asked for a refund as not worth the money at all.
Enjoyed the food very much. Drinks very expensive though.
Although we had pre-paid for our meal with our room booking the staff tried to charge us the full price of the meal again. The problem was sorted out, but could have been avoided by better staff training.
The service was excellent and the food was perfectly cooked and a great choice. The chefs specials were excellent.
The staff were friendly enough but the food was overpriced for what was average quality. The restaurant was stuck in a time warp with it's awful tiled ceiling and completely drab decor (to be fair the whole hotel is dated). There is no atmosphere whatsoever and if it hadn't of been for a party at the next table who'd had a few too many the restaurant would have been completely silent. Some background music wouldn't have gone a miss. They had run out of a certain popular drink and the "red wine" sauce was a weird brown Bovril like juice. Sorry, I just didn't enjoy it at all.
Menu rather limited. Staff only asked if meal ok once consumed. Steak over cooked. In mitigation I did receive a 50% discount. Just disappointing hence I went to Frankie & Benny's for second night.
I was looked after very well by Attila whose attention to detail was excellent
