About Randy's Wing Bar Hackney Wick
Conceived from a mutual love of chicken wings, good friendship and strong family ties to a Norfolk chicken farm, the Randy’s duo, Richard and Andy, embarked on a wing tasting pilgrimage to the USA to gain inspiration and develop mouth watering wing sauces. They sort the secrets to create the perfect chicken wing.
In 2015 Randy's Wing Bar was invited by the Buffalo Tourism Board to attend the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, New York as the events first-ever international competitor. Follow their adventure on Jamie Oliver's Food Tube.
After a 3year journey, Rich and Andy welcome you to the new HQ of chicken wings, great drinks and good times. Pull up a stool at the bar or relax by the canal, either way the party starts here.
Nice food, Great Service
Music and atmosphere changed completely once the venue became empty. “All you can eat, Wings” is a fake marketing that we found out after we had our first order: you can only order from 3 options out of 5 of the menu; you can only order again once you finish all your wings; plates arrived one by one even if we were two people at the table so one of us had to wait; “all you can eat” only lasts for 1h20. All of this seemed to be made up rules since they were added on the go and nobody explained them to us at our arrival. When we raised our complains to the manager he started arguing with us, without really listening to us, rather than trying to fix their mistakes. He argued he didn’t explain the rules beforehand because he said “they were busy” and “they didn’t have enough staff”.
Booked online at 1145 only to be told they weren’t open until 12!!! Waiter was highly apologetic and offered me a free beer. Food was good, service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely be back.
Service disorganised. We had 4 different waiters and had a steady stream of being asked if we was ready to order, Was told all food might not be served together. Cocktail wasn’t served; had to be chased. Beer wasn’t served (was ordered when we arrived); had to be chased. No one around when we wanted the bill. Disabled sliding door wasn’t fully closing so anyone outside could see into the cubicle.
Slow service that meant bottomless wings Monday wasn't possible and it was cheaper to pay for what we had actually received
No doubt about it, thee best wings in the whole of the city. Excellent location with a very busy but chilled out vibe. My favourite restaurant in London.
Unbelievable! We actually came here on a recommendation from a friend. Apparently the restaurant does not accept bookings online. Despite having received booking confirmation on Sunday evening we were quickly dismissed upon arrival of the Hackney branch. This was my first time here and probably my last.
Everything was great about Randy’s except 2 things: 1) I booked brunch online for 11.30 for Hackney Wick only to be told when I arrived that they don’t open until 12. Why was I allowed to book for 11.30 then? 2) When I asked for brunch menu my friends and I were told they stopped doing brunch 6-8 months ago!!!!! Again, then why is there a brunch menu online for the Hackney Wick branch?!?!?! Very good wings but y’all need to up your customer service
We had a lovely meal - food was great and the all you can eat wings went down well - we sat outside and sometimes felt it was hard to catch a servers attention and we ended up waiting about 30/40 minutes for our last batch of wings - but the manager was great and took some money off the bill and gave us some wings to take away - which we weren’t expecting as aside from that it was perfect! We’ll be back!
Friendly service, good crispy and meaty wings with a selection of flavours and coatings. Atmosphere party-ish and quite loud but beautiful sitting outside and friendly Manager. Didn't do all you can eat as wasn't the best value if we wanted to try a variety so I'd recommend just sampling menu & splitting the bill!
up there with the best wings ever!
Great wings and proper pints as well! We had a great time!
Staff were fantastic and really nice.
Delicious but pricey for wings
Let down by the food. Gong bao wings tasy, buffalo and gangam werr dry, not the best flanvour. Disppponted by the wings
Unfortunately I cannot actually rate this restaurant since we did not get to eat here. I arrived for my booking to shocked faces (I guess they didn't know I had booked?) and was told they weren't opening until half an hour after I had booked. I had received no prior contact to tell me this. We were attending the Women's Hockey World Cup that day and, because we ended up having to have a walk in reservation elsewhere, we missed the beginning of the first match and rushed what should have been a lovely meal. The guys didn't really seem too fussed that I said we would just go somewhere else and merely shrugged their shoulders. Apparently they had more important things with the wing festival happening the next day? Some communication would have been appreciated, rather than turning up unawares.
We took a client for beers and wings and it did not disappoint - Claire and Poppy made sure our glass was always full and the food was top. Great friendly service with a chilled vibe, will definitely go back
Wings were ok, sauce was a bit rich
Great house pilsner and tasty wings. Real let down on smoked salt chips. It was basically kfc fries... Some Staff were a bit rude but otherwise great place. Looking forward to next time
The food was excellent, service was great would definitely recommend to anyone I know.
All you can eat wings, cheap, super tasty and efficient service. A personal favourite in the neighbourhood and will definitely be visiting in the near future.
Really, great. Would be good if you could have all wings on the menu as part of the all-you-can-eat menu but otherwise a great night. I'll be back.
Couldn't eat here after booking as they do not take cash and did not have card with me.
I am a regular visitor and have introduced 9 new people to Randy's prior to this visit and 4 on this visit. Food was incredible as always and the "All you can eat" option is great value. No complaints there. With drinks though it was a different matter. I ordered a double Red Leg Spiced rum, which our server said had run out and offered another "spiced rum" in its place which I accepted. When it arrived, it wasnt spiced and was undrinkable (to my pallatte anyway). I didn't bother to complain as the restaurant was super busy and our server wasn't visible for a while. Our table also had 4 double tequilas, which I had seen on the menu at £8 each, but on the way home our party member who dealt with the bill said that we were charged to £87! Our overall bill did seem pretty expensive and this looks like it may be why. :-( Shame, as other than that several of these new people would have probably returned to you in the future. Also my Spelling OCD wont rest until you correct "sort" to "sought" in the write up - They sort the secrets to create the perfect chicken wing. Sorry!
The staff were lovely and provided and amazing service! The atmosphere was lovely and busy but not too busy that you couldn’t enjoy it. Went on Monday for all you can eat wings and was very disappointed. Tried all three which were included in the offer. The Kansas and Gangnam wings were very salty, to a point where it was hard to eat them and we ended up having to wipe off the sauce. The buffalo wings were not a favourite amoungst the group. Quite frankly smelt like sick. Also had the buffalo shrimp...another disappointment to say the least. Had no flavour( not even the shrimp) and they were hard like rocks. Lovely place to go for drinks, I’ll be back to try other items on their menu such as their burgers but their wings are not worth it.
