About Ramo Ramen
A beloved dish has found its new home in Kentish Town. The perfect combination of tradition and innovation, Ramo Ramen is reinventing a Japanese staple with flavours of the Philippines.
Food was extraordinary and service impeccable!
Decent food, however quite expensive for what it is, and not particularly great service - feels like they want you to leave ASAP, not quite the service you’re paying for
Had a terrible service, the waiter that was serving us was just moody and rude. The food we had was underwhelming, the broth for the ramens were too salty and oily. The only good thing was the bubble tea we ordered and the fried pusit. Disappointing meal.
best ramen in London
Delicious food! Service could be a little more efficient (e.g. we didn't get a drinks list or cutlery without asking) but they were honest mistakes and we loved the food!
Great food - would really recommend the Oxtail!
I enjoyed my meal, however my ramen was lukewarm. decor was bland and a slight flicker from illuminated light was distracting. The service was great, waitresses attentive but thought the price of a bowl of veggie ramen £12.50 was a bit steep. Also track and trace was not being implemented.
Food was super nice, would definitely recommend!
The ramen here never disappoints ❤️
We've been there on Saturday evening. We were 5 and all our food was amazing and we loved their Dragon fizz cocktail! The only sad note was that after we left, I received a call from the manager and she told me that the waitress did a mistake in taking the payment and they were around £50 short. She sent me the bank details and I was happy to amend, however I should be look after better, like receiving a call or a message to confirm that the payment has been taken... Overall, superb ramen! highly recommend it!
Ramen was really good in terms of broth which was very flavourful and I appreciate being able to add extra toppings like the tempura which was crispy and fulfilling. The fruit tea was also really refreshing and complemented the meal nicely. I would also love to have seen a wider array of desserts on the menu to choose from since there was only one. Overall I would deffo reccommend this to someone for good authentic japanese food.
Hey Guys, thank you for the overall nice dinner. We really liked our starters but the ramens were way to greasy, too salty and not hot enough for our liking. The staff was super nice but in such a small restaurant the loud radio music can be annoying. We sat right next to the speaker.. And type of music that went on doesnt fit this lovely design, something authentic or at least not pure radio hits would work better. Thank you though, will be back for the starters for sure!
Love the food! The best ramen ever! And their peach and mango pie is delicious!
I went there to benefit from the eat out to help out offer. It was really busy and our table wasn’t ready for the time we booked it for but the team was trying Its best to catch-up delay. Overall, we had a great time and experience. The food was delicious as always and the staff was really friendly. One of my favorite place in London!
Particularly enjoyed the karage chicken and the shrimp gyoza and the peach iced tea Really friendly and efficient service
Great service with delicious food!
Been here twice. I came here during their first couple of months of opening. The first time, food was amazing. Got the Oxtail Kare Kare and it was great. My friend had the lamb tantanmen and it was pretty good too. Tasted fresh and broth was quite clean, so much so that we both drank the broth. Came back again yesterday and was sat on a disgustingly smelly table near the front. It smelled like ramen broth that had not been wiped off the table properly(fatty vomit type smell) and just sat there to rot. I was okay about the smell initially because I expected the food to be good. Because of Rishi Sunak's eat out to help out initiative I decided to get a starter (Scotch Bonnet Chicken Wings) and my friend got some karaage. They were not freshly cooked, texture was as if they had been microwaved for the wings. The karaage was alright. Both me and my friend got the Oxtail Kare Kare and we were disgusted. The components of the broth were in the wrong ratio, had a funky smell and the "oxtail" was not oxtail and more like mushy lamb? It smellt so much like uncooked lamb and reminded us both of that disgusting smell at the table. It was also super greasy and had more grease than actual flavour. Honestly, I'm so disappointed because I hyped this place up to my friend and we are both Ramen enthusiasts who make Ramen at home. If it wasn't for half price, we would have complained and refused to pay. We didn't want to make a scene just because we had to carry on with our day, without setting a bad vibe. I'm really disappointed, even if the restaurant was busy it just doesn't excuse the really bad smells(clearly cleaning wasn't a priority) and the broth being so poor. We're both lay people and we make amateur ramen, which tastes much much better. It was such a shame because I had lost hope for ramen restaurants in the UK until I tried Ramoramen. But now that dream of reliving Japanese Ramen has been destroyed. I don't know if the chefs changed etc but regardless, it just wasn't clean. Only thing i can say is that the service is good and staff were friendly, as with my previous visit. I hope Ramoramen can take my feedback constructively and work on cleaning more, getting new tables that don't get permanently stained with rancid ramen broth(not wooden) and look at how their ramen is now compared to what it was when they first opened up. I cannot lie, I do not think I want to come back here because of how horrendous our experience was yesterday.
The seating isn’t great at all u end up getting back pains so going there if you’ve had a long day at work or have back issues. The staff were really friendly but because it was busy that’s probably why the service was terrible. Took 15 mins just to get water, and they never once offered to take the empty plates until I asked them too and even then that took 15 mins and it took another 15 mins to get the bill. I wanted to not get charged for the service as it wasn’t great but the person said it was mandatory which was odd but we paid it reluctantly in the end. The food was great, the staff were friendly, but avoid busy times as the service was terrible.
It was too loud in the restaurant and the food was not that great (the oxtail ramen was probably too cold - the meat didn't taste that well).
Food is Banging!!
We love the food, glad you guys are still open, easy to book, seated promptly, friendly service
Food was delicious, best ramen I've had in. london. Will be coming back as soon as possible
Very accommodating with my dairy intolerance. Efficient service.
