Breakfast at Sofitel Singapore City Centre offers a selection of global cuisines that appeal to the broad tastes of our well-travelled guests. Our guests will enjoy a healthy and luxurious start to their day, complemented by efficient yet personalised service to create a fresh and lively atmosphere.
The breakfast menu will blend Asian and western specialities and incorporate low calorie gastronomy options for lifestyle conscious guests in line with Sofitel De-Light guidelines.
Breakfast at Sofitel will be recognized as the ‘place to be’ for morning breakfast meetings. The best local Singapore classics will be served, including kaya toast, dim sum and bak kut teh.
RACINES - LUNCH & DINNER
Racines, located on the fifth floor, is a place offering a Chic Bistronomie. It features an interactive, casual chic dining experience where guests will experience a distinctive culinary journey with animation as a key element.
Racines will have a completely different look and feel from breakfast at night, when soft touches such as changes of table settings and uniforms create an entirely new ambiance. The restaurant will be informal yet innovative, with each show kitchen brought to life by chefs in action. The focus will be on French and local modern cuisine, prepared with authentic tastes and recipes using sustainable (local) and seasonal products. Fresh herbs and honey will come from the hotel garden and apiary which surround the space.
A selection of signature waters from around the world will be presented and served with the choice of berries, lime, lemon or mint.
Wine matches will be carefully selected to complement each dish.
All guest will receive a ‘Farewell Gift’ to ensure the last memory of Racines is not the payment. This gift can be for example a ‘brioche with jam for breakfast’ presented in a beautiful box with a compliment note from the Executive Chef.

I decided to celebrate my husband's fourty years old birthday at Racines. Racines is a fine dining place where our guests would be able to enjoy a mix of Chinese and French cuisine which represents a lot our own mixed Taiwanes/French couple. We have been dining in Racines a few times during lunch and were always delighted by the menu, the cuisine, the ambiance and were always pleased to meet Jean-Charles Dubois in person in the open kitchen. Though on that 29th February we were really disappointed for the following reasons: - At our arrivals we were surprised to see our table arrangement split into two groups of 10 and 6. It could have been from a limitation from the restaurant setting but it seemed to just have been a lack of care from the staff as they were able to arrange this immediately after we requested it. - Some of the dishes from the menu were not up to the standard to a point that even our guests raised comments. The lobster bisque was too watery and too salty. The french salad appetizer was a bummer. The wagyu steak had a lot of tendon which spoiled the experience. The buttered arrowhead, while a good idea to put in the menu were confused with uncooked potato by the guests. - Champagne bottle at the end of the dinner was opened in front of my husband and spilled on him. Even in Culinary schools this never happens... - We felt we were rushed at the end of our dinner to close the bill which was reasonable given it was starting to be late and because of the virus restrictions. The experience was not only negative, we do have some positive comments for this event: - Our big table was served synchronously. - The staff was generally present for us. - Some of the dishes were really nice: The chinese soup. The asparagus were also excellent. Overall experience was disappointing to a point where we might not visit the restaurant again. Was it because chef Jean-Charles Dubois was not in the kitchen on that day? That's especially sad as the restaurant was mostly empty. Kristine & Sebastien
Congratulations to Sofitel for having outstanding employees! Each and every employee we encounter from entrance to restaurant was smiley and welcoming. Special mention to Yusof for making my friend’s birthday a special one. We felt really taken care of. Highly recommend anyone to visit for special occasions or when you want to feel pampered!

Arrived and the host did not know my special arrangements for birthday. The staff was not sure of the ingredients for the dishes served and had to ask the kitchen. It was disappointing to find out that despite making a special remark via online reservation and also a follow up phone call, my birthday request was not fully conveyed. The host did make up for it by arranging something else quickly. But that was because I had arrived 15 min before my guests arrived to ensure everything goes on smoothly. Food was great but a bit too pricey for plating. Staff was friendly.
Fabulous food and exceptional service. Vagan was very very attentive and professional, as is all the staff. The Sofitel City Centre is well worth a visit for a meal, or in our case, a little holiday.
Went for the V Day 5 course dinner with my wife for 830pm seating. Everything is great but the serving of food is slow. Finished the dinner around 11pm.

While the food was good, service was on the slower side. We were there for the Valentine’s Day dinner. The staff didn’t notice our choice of menu, and we had quite a long wait between our second and third dishes, as well as for our mains. When we left the restaurant, I asked the staff about settling the payment for the extra course (since I upgraded to a five-course meal), and he sent me a bill for the entire five courses, even though I paid partially for that through a package with Sofitel. I had to remind him of this and to get him to check again, which resulted in a long wait for my bill settlement. Atmosphere wise, tables are not too far apart from each other, and it was a little atmosphere damper for myself as the spacing between couples aren’t too far apart, and we can hear each other’s conversations throughout the dinner, which made me very conscious about our choice of words during the dinner. While it’s mentioned on the survey page that a farewell gift is given to make sure the last memory is not the payment, my last memory was a long wait for my bill. No ‘farewell gift’ was given to us for this round. Overall though, it was a decent dining experience. Racines should take note of package reservations in the future to avoid long waits for the diners.

Very slow service during Valentine’s Day. Food is just alright, nothing special but I know it’s cooked with fresh ingredients. I wish the food portion during Valentine’s Day was more with that amount of money paid.
