All guest will receive a ‘Farewell Gift’ to ensure the last memory of Racines is not the payment. This gift can be for example a ‘brioche with jam for breakfast’ presented in a beautiful box with a compliment note from the Executive Chef.
good food great service
This is my first visit to the restaurant and pleasantly impressed by the good service from the staff. We ordered the chef’s specialty lobster bisque and beef cheek. Love both the dishes and beef cheek just melts in your mouth ! Highly recommended and thumbs up!
The set lunch is tasty and service is good. Also had a present surprise that a birthday cake is prepared for my friend even though I did not request for it although I stated the occasion as 'birthday' in the reservation form.
Thank you for the birthday cake for my dad. We enjoyed the dinner set very much. The food was not only fresh and delicious but also presented impeccably. Loved the dessert. While the portion seemed small initially, we were all full after the dessert was served.
Good service but was given a June menu when I dined in August and waitress didn’t even realise it.
We had dinner on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was rather empty. Service was v. willing but hushed with many a waiter to the same table, lots of questions and offers, yet no relation building. We ended up ordering one Chinese tasting menu and Chinese a la carte. Both were good and average. Hamachi was cut too thick and warmish. Mango dessert was neither innovative nor well executed. At the end we were v kindly offered a mini-cake as a gift and asked to come back. Cocktails from the bar far outstrip the standard of the restaurant. For food, walk to Amoy or Tanjong Pagar instead.
The beef and bread was great! Service was much better this time as we were taken care by the manager. The disappointment was the chicken, which was slightly uncooked according to my mum. If you ask me to choose between a whole Hainanese chicken vs the poulet, the Hainanese chicken will win in terms of local flavour and price. The complimentary chips were average, perhaps the management can think of changing the brand and quality.
Appreciate fast response to baldly cooked steak with new steak choice. At least it removes bitterness & disappointments of our diners!!
Great food and service.
Went for Singapore good festival set lunch. Excellent service and value for money but food selection and presentation can be improved.
The lamb had a strong taste and smell, unsure where it originates from and needs improvement. I won't order again. The lamb rack on the old menu was much better. Of all the dishes I ordered, only the Racines fried rice was beautiful with the wok hei. The western food menu may require significant improvement. I prefer the old menu as it has more meat varieties and taste better. I had to ask for 3x from the waiter the bread to be served to my kids - no attention to details. Our family was disappointed with the overall new food experience this visit.
Shankar and team including Jas and Rama were very attentive and hospitable during our dinner birthday celebration. Our guests were so impressed by the impeccable and warm service, beautiful environment and of course the stunning food, particularly the signature soufflé and cheese cake. We often bring guests to Racine, and the feedback every time is consistently great as mentioned above. Thank you for always providing a wonderful experience and kudos to BOB and Shankar for leading such a great team.
Food quality is very good. Evidence of attention to details.
Special call-out to the service staff, especially Ms Chi Wei, who looked after our needs with full dedication throughout our dinner. Menu-wise, I particularly love the Homard bisque, and the desserts (chendol and mango sticky rice).
Everyone love the Tbone Steak platter! Can give lobster bisque a miss as it was too salty.
The homemade ice cream is AWESOME !!!
The variety and quality of food is splendid
The service and atmosphere, as usual is immaculate. I gave a 4 star rating for food as some dishes were not up to Sofitel standard. First of all, the risotto was abit hard and dry. I believe Raccines was trying to serve a hot dish however with the limited number of guests for a Sunday brunch the pot of risotto became dry thereafter. Secondly, the Sashimi platter i felt could be presented in a better way as the tray had some water collection at the bottom. This will perhaps compromise the freshness of the sashimi. Will definitely come back and look forward to more exciting offerings by Raccines in the near future
Sharon and Shankar are very friendly and attentive to our table. It was my dad's birthday and they realized without me mentioning during reservation and have given us a surprise with a small cake for the celebration. There's also a lady who I did not managed to get her name as she saw I have 2 kids dinning with us, brought us colouring material for the kids to do where we able to enjoy our dinner peacefully. Kudos to the team.
Had the set lunch, ordered bouillabaisse as a starter. I waited with anticipation when the service staff poured the soup into my bowl but I was sorely disappointed after. The bowl wasn’t even half full! It was a stark contrast to my Friend who had a full bowl of salad
I had the Sunday Brunch. The food was nice and service was extremely good. Price a little high but with the Accorplus card discount is not so bad. Will definitely come back again.
Awesome food and service! A little pricey but worth it with an AccorPlus membership.
July's lunch menu items were not to our liking. We had the salad and smoked salmon tatare for starters and both tasted mediocre. For mains, the striploin steak was fine, but the pork jowl was tough, nothing compared to the pork jowl on ciabatta on June's lunch menu. Hope to see and taste better food items in August's lunch menu.
