About Queen Victoria Arts Club
Restaurant & Bar open to the public 11 am - late.
We offer sophisticated and relaxed dining. Great modern British Food, Cocktails, Wine & Champagne.
we had a lovely meal and the service was great .. but the place lack atmosphere .. and given it was a saturday night seemed lacking in a buzz. I hope you don't mind me saying that. The booth areas was empty .. and the main room seemed less finished that other parts of the establishment. It needs something to soften the look .. upholstered chairs and bigger tables .. we struggled to fit everything for meal for 4. i really like the place and would frequent more often but it needs a buzz ... something to attract people to stay that side of town ...
Excellent food and service. With a pleasant atmosphere with very nice decor.
Everything was lovely. Delicious food and perfect service.
Despite the food being very good, the service was appalling. It wasn't overly busy and don't quite know why it took over 20 mins to be served gin and tonics. The starter arrived reasonably quickly but then waited over an hour for the main. This was questioned with the waiting staff when it became apparent that the adjacent tables, who came in afterwards, were all eating their main courses. Was told that there was an error in communication with the kitchen. Was given 10% off the bill for this delay but I won't be rushing back.
Yeah, really nice. We will go again.
Great gem in the heart of Leicester
Booked fir my sisters birthday and we both enjoyed our meal would definitely book again
We had the Pre theatre menu. Can highly recommend the fish cakes and brisket of beef.
Be nice to create an outside area also the table and chairs in restaurant could be a little more luxurious. Food was excellent and venue is stunning
We enjoyed a lovely lunch before the theatre will definitely return thank you
Food was really nice. The staff very polite. My only concern was that the place lacked atmosphere. I will go again as it was at the end of January. Maybe people is not going out much after Christmas. Speaking to my friends they all thought this place was only for members. I think you should make it very clear that anybody can go and enjoy your restaurant and bar. Not need to be a member!
A great choice for pre theatre dining. Food was excellent. Service friendly and efficient
Very mediocre food for the price. The duck terrine starter was poor, felt like it had come straight out a tin. The bread that came with it was not fresh. The smoked salmon starter was disappointing, coming with buttered finger sandwiches on what looked like cheap brown bread. Steak main was under seasoned chewy, peppercorn sauce felt packet, chips were ok. Pork tenderloin was dry, not impressed in the slightest, the dauphinoise were small, cold and the potato cream ratio wasn't ideal. Chocolate tart was probably the best bit. The Panna cotta was good too. For the price and appearance of this restaurant we had high expectations, then menu didn't seem very adventurous and all of the food was very mediocre, not at all the caliber expected. Safe to say we were disappointed. If you're looking for a good restaurant for good food then bistro pierre is the place to be!
We've only just found this place & what a find! We booked at 5pm for the pre theatre menu & we were the first in & only ones in for a while, so hard to rate for atmosphere. I would imagine it would be great when there were more people. A beautiful place, finished to a really high standard & the food didn't dissapoint. £18 for 2 courses or £21 for 3 courses. Really tasty food, looked amazing too. A couple of slight issues, the extra vegetables we ordered didn't come with the mains, (but did come quickly, once mentioned) & the items were put through separately on the bill, not as the £21 menu, so we had been overcharged by £4 until we mentioned it, however it was quickly rectified. The staff, apart from this, were really friendly & helpful. Would return & hope they do well, as it's really nice to have a good place to go.
A little bit more variety on the menu, but otherwise excellent. Perhaps add the lunchtime options to the evening menu. Service excellent, very friendly without being artificial or overbearing. Lovely conversion of the building.
Good to visit for the first time. Friendly, good food and drink. Lively too - so not a quiet meal on a Saturday night! But very enjoyable.
Lovely venue but unfortunately no atmosphere as only two other tables being used venue empty Food nothing to shout about I had steak and couldn’t eat half of it due to being full of fat !! Was pointed out to waitress but comment was oh ok !!! Bit of a disappointment and a shame for such a lovely venue
We had a fabulous evening at the Queen Vic. Excellent food which was accompanied by some lovely wine. The service was efficient and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely be visiting again and would recommend.
We went to QVAC for our work Christmas party! The food that was served was really lovely, all very hot when served to the table. The service was great, attentive without being over bearing. served food to the correct person without having to ask. Would definitely recommend and return.
Great food and service.
We enjoyed an evening at this beautiful venue. The food was delicious and the A La Carte menu was very good with plenty of choices. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Would definately recommend
Whilst the food & service of the food was good, the service of drinks was extremely slow & were told at 22.50 on a Saturday night that this was the last round of drink’s we could order !! We were allowed one more after this though.
Wonderful, friendly and efficient service and delicious food.
Had an excellent pre theatre dinner. Perfect presentation, portion size, actual meal and general ambiance. Staff were also delightful. Will recommend, and return.
Really good service & food. Decor amazing
