About Quay 3
Quay Three is a modern restaurant and bar based at the heart of Swansea’s thriving SA1 development. Enjoy lunch or dinner whilst soaking in the panoramic views of the marina. You’ll be forgiven if you mistake the setting for a glamorous Mediterranean city.
Our vintage furnishings and unique ornaments combined with the exposed industrial ceiling, has created a stylish environment befitting of the impressive setting.
Afternoon Tea is served Friday to Sunday 12.00-16.00
Promised table would be set up for us it wasnt then when we arranged tables ourselves as staff didn't want to know we were asked to get off the table for other bookings even though events organiser had promised us this for the night. Members of the party waiting over 30 minutes for a drink. Told we had lounge untill 7pm was asked to leave at 6.20. Dj wasn't a proper dj and didn't do his full set until 7 o'clock which was agreed by me and Laura and he was paid until 7. Overall terrible experience from booking to event will never take a dvla party there again
I had spoken to someone on the phone twice over a month ago and had in writing that we were going to have a set course menu. When we got there, we were told that was only for the day, not the evening, despite the phone calls, emails and the fact that I had written this on the online booking form. I wouldn’t have chosen this restaurant if we had known that in advance. The manager refused to honour the offer we had been told about and blamed it on a woman that no longer worked there. The food was average and overpriced; the rice was very dry and we had to ask for extra sauce for it. The manager did take 15 pounds off the bill - however the whole problem and the way he refused to honour the offer really disappointed us and set a bad atmosphere. None of us will be returning here and it’s a shame in a place like Swansea that they can blame ex staff for their mistakes instead of showing some decent customer service. Reputation is extremely important in Swansea and there are so many high quality restaurants; don’t waste your money here.
I recently had my baby shower in the lounge function room and had booked afternoon tea with prosecco. When the food was put on the table we were told it was to share between 6/7 people but the food was placed out of reach for the majority of the table which made it very awkward. We ran out of tea and coffee and were not offered any refills and had to ask for the prosecco even though there was a man behind the bar who wasn't doing anything the entire time we were there. He then proceeded to place a glass of prosecco in front of me when I'm 9 months pregnant and then announced very loudly that we had 30 minutes left and even when we'd cleared up no-one else came in the room so really didn't see the need, surely he could've said it to someone in a calmer less urgent tone.
Hired Quay Three the lounge for a baby shower. Food was lovely and the room was absolutley perfect for the event. Most of the food was put out ready, and the street food option was delicious, and a selection of cakes. There were not enough cakes for 1 each so we had to cut scones in half, for £30 per head I would have thought there would be more cakes but were only given 3 of each thing for a table of 8. Pimms and tea and coffee were at the bar would have been better if these were put on tables. I think alot of my feedback would be directed at the fact there was only 1 member of staff there. He was great and couldnt do enough to help but he only has 1 pair of hands and couldn't physically do everything. Definately needs a minimum of 2 people there.
Ordered the meat platter. Menu states it comes with choice of side. My husband had wanted chips but I fancied the cauliflower cheese. Wasn't clear on menu if there was a side each or just the one included. Either way noticed when I got home that we'd been charged for both sides. I think this is a bit rude when your paying £66 for the platter in the first place. And one small thing my husband felt was the platter shouldn't be served on wood. It's a large platter which takes a bit of time to eat. By time we'd finnished it was stone cold.
Great food, always is... great service, lovely place, thoroughly recommend.
Lovely meal and good, friendly service. Would highly recommend and will return.
Polite, friendly staff! Lovely relaxed atmosphere! Great selection of cakes and sandwiches for afternoon tea!
`This was our first visit and we will certainly be back again.
The service was fine and the staff very friendly but really disappointed with the food brought to the table . One meal was inedible and the gluten free burger was served on two pieces of bread . We submitted a list of all meals and dietary requirements well in advance . Also the majority of meals were charged at full price even though a deposit was paid and we were then informed we had not paid enough!!! I understands there were quite a few of us but I would not book for a large party again .
Sunday lunch is as near as you can get to a "Mums" sunday roast. Excellent service and really well cooked food.. and no washing up!
We all enjoyed our food.
I booked lunch for 3 of us as a surprise or my husbands birthday. The portions were big and food was delicious. I would definitely recommend .
Great food and service. The lounge was the perfect venue for my sisters baby shower.
Food was excellent, service was outstanding! Thank you so much!
This was my first visit to Quay 3. There were 8 of us in total and we had a fantastic time. All our food was beautiful and tasty. The staff were so attentive. We were not rushed at all and the atmosphere was so relaxed and chilled. We all had a great afternoon and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Very lovely experience. Fab food and drink menu I will be back to try more.
Lovely atmosphere but the music was a little loud for me, together with the enthusiastic chatter of other guests. Fab to see everyone enjoying but I really struggled to follow conversation, I wonder whether the chatter was louder to hear each other over the music? Loved everything else about my visit though xx
Mustard and rye had a relaxed atmosphere. The fish platter was nice, especially the salmon, prawns and bread.
We had a lovely family lunch and the food and service was really good. We are very much looking forward to coming for afternoon tea next time as that looked amazing
Arrived to find out that our afternoon tea booking was not on the system so had a bit of a wait while it was prepped. .. also a few of us ordered drinks then we're told we couldn't have themy as the ingradients were out of a ticket bit we were given free drinks to compensate this so not really a problem....only criticism with the afternoon tea is that maybe some more savoury and less sweet items but apart from that very nice
Had a lovely time thank you!
The restaurant should invest in blinds as the sun was blinding last Saturday evening and it was uncomfortable.
The seafood platter wasn’t considered value for money. Whilst the service was very good it is unlikely we will visit again.
Had afternoon tea and a couple of cocktails for my friends birthday and we had a lovely time. The food was fab and there was plenty of it! Nice atmosphere and very friendly & helpful staff. Looking forward to my next booking for a meal with my husband
