About Quay 3
Quay Three is a modern restaurant and bar based at the heart of Swansea’s thriving SA1 development. Enjoy lunch or dinner whilst soaking in the panoramic views of the marina. You’ll be forgiven if you mistake the setting for a glamorous Mediterranean city.
Our vintage furnishings and unique ornaments combined with the exposed industrial ceiling, has created a stylish environment befitting of the impressive setting.
Afternoon Tea is served Friday to Sunday 12.00-16.00
Although the afternoon tea was lovely, there wasn’t enough Jam or Cream given for the scones. We had to share one pot of each between 10 people. Tea and Coffee was meant to be unlimited but there were several occasions where someone had to find someone to ask for the pots to be re filled and more milk be brought out etc. It was very quiet so no reason for staff not to be more attentive.
Food was outstanding and service was great. I went with a group and we all enjoyed our food. I took up the birthday offer and had my main meal for free. Waiter was very good, we had no problems. Would recommend going there to my friends and would certainly go back.
We really enjoyed our meal. All courses were cooked beautifully. Lovely atmosphere and surroundings. Will definitely be visiting again.
Fabulous food with wonderful service!! Definitely recommend and will definitely return
Amazing service and food, can’t believe I didn’t go sooner!
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, great food and friendly staff
Food ( we had trio of lamb & soup of the day which was complimentary ) Service was outstanding & we had a Lovely view from our table . Would definitely recommend & be revisiting myself
Enjoyed this as a birthday treat
I felt a little disappointed with the afternoon tea as I'd read your website and was really taken in by the sounds of a 'quirky' afternoon tea, on picnic tables etc... I thought it sounded something a little different, a nice twist and hoped the food would also reflect this. I also saw the afternoon tea on your Instagram page and so was expecting great things as a treat. Unfortunately we didn't have the option of decaf tea- both my pregnant friend and myself are caffeine free and so this was disappointing. You did accommodate gluten free and vegetarian which we were both grateful for. However, the vegetarian sandwiches were just variations of cheese and the gluten free options were very dry and bland. All ok but not delicious. Some chutney or something exciting in terms of flavour would have been nice- different to the norm. The food was presented on slates not picnic benches. Again this was fine just not what we had expected. It was lovely to have unlimited refills for our tea- we both enjoyed our scones and the atmosphere within Quay 3 is really relaxed and the twinkly lights add to a calm and relaxed vibe. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We would come again for a meal as we've been before and the food was delicious but we wouldn't make another afternoon tea booking.
Good service and everything was really good. Nice view of the marina.
Service was almost non existent we had to ask for more tea and coffee whilst the server sat behind the counter. Didn't expect that especially with tea almost £20. The tea room was quite quiet too so no excuses there . Toilet was very messy empty toilet rolls everywhere and no holder for it either! Please inform customers when booking it's cash only too .
Lovely staff and amazing food. Simple.
Service was very good as soon as we walked in, asked if everything was ok and if we wanted anything else a few times which was very nice. Will definitely be going back again.
Excellent as always.. did the set lunch this visit and great value, especially with bottomless Prosecco added on. The food here is really extremely good and there is a big choice whether you are a burger, steak or fish person - menu is vaired whether you want more basic type of menu or more masterchef style dishes. Cant fault it. Service excellent and attentive.
What a steak. What a cheesecake. OUTBLOODYSTANDING that is all
Excellent afternoon tea especially the rainbow cake.
I made a reservation for AFTERNOON TEA but when confirming numbers I was told I had booked for the restaurant and that makes hadn't been ordered for my reservation so I had to cancel as this was a booking for my child's birthday. The fact that you've emailed me asking for a response makes me wonder how reliable your booking system is as I clearly didn't get to experiemce dining with you.. Despite ringing to speak to someone 3 times about my booking, I wasn't told my booking was apparently made in error until Friday evening when it was too late to rectify.. May I suggest you send an email confirming what you have booked so you avoid disappointment to a child .. I received a confirmation booking but it did not say i had booked a restaurant sitting or I wouldve rectified it.. Poor customer service via email.
The staff were setting up for a large evening party so we had to go to the bar whenever we needed anything. The afternoon tea was amazing though, and the vegan selection was great.
We were really disappointed with our afternoon tea. Poor lighting. Music too loud to chat over that wasnt turned down when asked. Pre booked mayonnaise free sandwiches that had been agreed were not supplied and had to be asked for. Only 3 tiny finger sandwiches per person and no other savouries for £20 per person really poor value for money compared to other afternoon teas we have been on . Cakes were delicious though. Overall really disappointing and would not recommend.
Second visit & the food, drinks & service were as good as the first time... lovely menu, great choice of seafood, fab location... worth the journey from Staffodshire! And an unexpected free main course for my husband who was celebrating his birthday (January/February offer) was the icing on the cake. We'll definitely be back.
I stated when booking that I had a cinnamon and nutmeg allergy so appreciated having my own portion on arrival. However having given notice, I would’ve thought my welsh cake could’ve been made without these ingredients or could’ve been substituted for something else instead of just going without. Also we paid £35 deposit for 7 people. My parents were unable to attend however we only had £25 taken off the bill instead of the £35 I had paid. I would have understood if at the time of booking I was told that the deposit was non refundable but it didn’t state this on your website so it seemed unfair for you to keep our £10 without prior notice. Based on this experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else, we were going to book for my mothers birthday in March but now will go elsewhere.
Been a few times now absolutely love the place.
Fantastic food and excellent service
Staff were really good. Service excellent. Disappointed in lamb. Asked for plain fish as was pictured on website. Was told it wasn't a problem. But ended up to be fish in batter. Not what I expected from fine dining experience. We had guests with us who will certainly come back.
Food was tasty. Service was very good. All together an excellent place. Only thing I couldn't understand, was that there were high chairs available, but no children's menu. We were given an option as to what the children could have to eat, but feel it would have been easier for everyone, if a children's menu was available.
