About Quay 3
Quay Three is a modern restaurant and bar based at the heart of Swansea’s thriving SA1 development. Enjoy lunch or dinner whilst soaking in the panoramic views of the marina. You’ll be forgiven if you mistake the setting for a glamorous Mediterranean city.
Our vintage furnishings and unique ornaments combined with the exposed industrial ceiling, has created a stylish environment befitting of the impressive setting.
Afternoon Tea is served Friday to Sunday 12.00-16.00
Very lovely experience. Fab food and drink menu I will be back to try more.
Lovely atmosphere but the music was a little loud for me, together with the enthusiastic chatter of other guests. Fab to see everyone enjoying but I really struggled to follow conversation, I wonder whether the chatter was louder to hear each other over the music? Loved everything else about my visit though xx
Mustard and rye had a relaxed atmosphere. The fish platter was nice, especially the salmon, prawns and bread.
We had a lovely family lunch and the food and service was really good. We are very much looking forward to coming for afternoon tea next time as that looked amazing
Arrived to find out that our afternoon tea booking was not on the system so had a bit of a wait while it was prepped. .. also a few of us ordered drinks then we're told we couldn't have themy as the ingradients were out of a ticket bit we were given free drinks to compensate this so not really a problem....only criticism with the afternoon tea is that maybe some more savoury and less sweet items but apart from that very nice
Had a lovely time thank you!
The restaurant should invest in blinds as the sun was blinding last Saturday evening and it was uncomfortable.
The seafood platter wasn’t considered value for money. Whilst the service was very good it is unlikely we will visit again.
Had afternoon tea and a couple of cocktails for my friends birthday and we had a lovely time. The food was fab and there was plenty of it! Nice atmosphere and very friendly & helpful staff. Looking forward to my next booking for a meal with my husband
Came for Sunday dinner and was fabulous! Staff were lovely & food was perfect! Thank you!
The Afternoon Tea was delicious!
Great Food, Great Service, A+
I booked a table for myself and my daughter as a treat for her birthday. We had been looking forward to the shellfish platter. For a total cost of almost £44 I found it pleasant but mediocre. The single lobster tail was chewy and the mussels were extremely small. That aside I was not unpleasant. However, on asking for the bill which came to around £75 I was astonished when the gentleman literally threw the bill on the table, not even looking at us. I felt that this was totally unprofessional and for someone who was obviously a senior member of staff, possibly the manager, was totally out of order. Perhaps a training need in the area of good manners should be suggested.
Great food, great staff.
I phoned to book a table and was told they needed to speak to a manager, I asked if the restaurant closed at 6 as per website and was told it was taking bookings until 21,45, but after booking were told our table time had been moved from 1700 until 1600 The food was amazing when we went.. We were asked to supply pre orders but when we attended they still were not correct. Desserts were non existent it was a choice of brownies, ice cream or ice cream and brownies mixed. I think the manager was Jim who looked after us and he and his team were pleasant but the booking fiasco was a problem The menus on line were not clear, I was told w it’s a pre order then everything was available but when I tried to order them I was told seafood menu was not available but the roast dinner was, not that it was online, The children’s menu was not on the online booking but despite adding to the comments twice I had to point it out on the day to staff that one was needed I did enjoy my visit as the food was good, I don’t want to say I won’t be back however if I’m submitting a pre order I assume what I have asked for will be supplied and not modified. I would expect a number of desserts and not have to deal with high volumes of staff to have a steak and chips or lamb pie with no chips or beans as advertised But although I have criticisms the trio of lamb was awesome and rare steak was very good (so I have been told) Short review would be food and service at time was awsome backroom needs devolopment Cheers
Great food and service... lovely atmosphere... stunning setting.......... what more could you want??!!
We were celebrating my daughter’s results on completing her 2nd year at university. Unfortunately my husband had an emergency call out, we had to Leave in a hurry. We had finished most of my meal...fly meal fish of the week-sea bass cooked to perfection! Thank you Quay 3 for your prompt packaging of my daughter’s food, the look on the chef’s face said it all. He thought he had done something wrong. We will return as our lovely evening was spoiled by circumstances beyond anyone’s control. Thank you
We booked for our lunch hour and pre-ordered food. Service was really good and food (which was very nice) was ready soon after we arrived.
Great food and ambience
Was a little concerned not to get a confirmation email despite chasing but when we arrived all was well! The staff were helpful and the afternoon tea and cocktails were super. Maybe 1 less cake and 1 more sandwich but it was lovely. Would go again x
The afternoon tea has got to be the best I've ever had! Everything tasted amazing and was fresh. The restaurant looks great and is in a beautiful setting with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and nothing was too much for them. We will definitely visit again the next time we are Swansea. Thank you
We had an afternoon tea experience and it was excellent, from the initial greeting by Jim, to the waitress that served us. Tea and coffee where served immediately and followed by our afternoon tea. The ambience was superb, nice background music and a nice buzz in the place. The food was fabulous, how you managed to serve such fresh bread sandwiches I do not know!!, followed by lovely scones and cakes with ample jam and cream to go on the scones. Many thanks.
Sunday lunch was really tasty, everything was cooked lovely, only downside was there could have been more gravy as it was really nice. I will definitely be visiting again for sunday lunch though. The starters were also a nice change, from places that do boring prawn cocktail and pate.
Booked here with my family for father's day meal, staff were welcoming and friendly.. our waitress was particularly lovely, excellent service. Food was excellent quality and delicious. We will definitely be back soon.
Initially greeted with blank faces when we arrived as had no recollection of booking. Then found booking and told us to sit at a table reserved for another party. Prompted us several times to order food. Told there would be a wait as only 1 chef on duty. Asked to change order as run out of pizza bases. 1 of the pizza orders came out wrong. Bill was totally wrong and had to be corrected. On a positive note, tapas was lovely.
