We love this restaurant and whenever we have the opportunity when visiting Sydney we dine at Q Dining. We also brings friends with us to enjoy the wonderful venue, menu and service. They are always impressed

My partner and I have visited this restaurant and its predecessor several times. We are Accor Club members and have stayed at the adjoining hotel.We waited for a while at the desk and were then led to our table. No bread or appetiser offered as in the past. I had to request a pre theatre menu that was not offered. My partner ordered the scallops which came with a huge swirl of salt crystals on the plate, pretty but inedible. I was not asked how I wanted my steak cooked (first time) but it was okay if lukewarm. Kipfler potatoes in duck fat were dry and tasteless, but there was not salt or pepper on the table to fix this. I had the cheese platter for dessert. This came with olive bread and breadsticks the size of small straws, useless. I like blue cheese, but two blue cheeses is one too many. Service was poor so we did not order alcohol, water rarely topped up and we had to ask for sugar with our coffee. We will not be returning.

We had a very lovely visit to Q Dining, and I want to thank the staff for the thoughtful extra touch at the end of our meal with a little Happy Birthday chocolate plate to my granddaughter on her 21st birthday. Thankyou.

The cocktails we ordered have a lot of ice. This is a restaurant that I loved for the past few years. Hence I chose this restaurant to host a dinner for my family who was visiting Australia for the first time. But the dining experience on 10/07/2019 is not the same anymore. 1. Breads are not complimentary anymore. 2. For a group of 7 people, 4 small slices of butter and pinch of salt are definitely not enough. 3. We need to call for water. 4. In my instruction to the hotel, I specifically requested that prices will be omitted. The waitress discussed prices around the table, which made the ambiance awkward. I have been advised that things have been changed 4 months ago and I was reminded that it is a fine dining restaurant. As a result, we just had our 1 dish meal and immediately left. The experience is nothing special and definitely to say that it is a fine dining restaurant is an idea that needs more work. This is a restaurant that will depend on the location and nothing more.

With an Accor Advantage card the dining represents fair value. The service was a bit slow when I was ready to pay and leave but the view really makes the venue. Good to see a new menu at last.

The portions although tasty, are beyond ridiculously small. The lack of a quality vegan/vegetarian option is a big drawback in today's world.

We were very impressed with the attentive friendly staff. Ours was an early dinner as we had a show to attend and we were advised well so as not to rush our meal. The dinner was amazing thoroughly enjoyed our special night.

We took friends to experience the top class food and service at Q dining, where we dine frequently. Unfortunately the small touches that make a meal stand out were missing, no artisan breads, no lemon or ice in the water nor any amuse bouche. We allowed an hour and a half to dine before a performance and explained this on arrival. luckily, we only ordered one course and coffee or we would have been short of time. The main dishes were excellent and the side we shared a perfect accompaniment. The view was, as always, breathtaking but we felt the hotel sold itself short as an introduction for our friends.

We had a lovely experience dining here and were very pleased with the service we received. The Asian lady who served us was always smiling and she made our night very pleasant. The food especially the oysters were so fresh and love the cucumber relish on it. I love the scallops and octopus too. Overall, it is higly recommended as we had an enjoyable anniversary dinner and we'll come back here for sure! Thanks Q dining

Service was excellent as was the food. The Accor member discount wasn't added to the account and I had to remind them of the booking. On the website there was a pre-theatre menu which is what I thought I booked for, but this was not available when we arrived.

Delicious food, unique menu and a beautiful venue. Overall, my friends and I had a great experience. However, as some gentle feedback, our group would have appreciated better better communication. We were looking forward to sampling the pre-theatre which we saw advertised on The Fork and on the restaurant's website but this menu ($60pp) was unavailable during the VIVID period and instead had been replaced by a limited VIVID course menu ($89pp). We ended up ordering a-la-carte but perhaps updating the website during the VIVID period next year would be a good idea? I had also made a special request in our booking form that couldn't be accommodated for, which in itself is perfectly fine but again, we would have appreciated a heads up in advance. Just felt a bit dampening to the mood to arrive at the restaurant be hit with a string of disappointments. In the grand scheme of things only minor issues - we would still consider revisiting in future.

Such a disappointing experience at Q Dining. We booked for our wedding anniversary to have a lovely dinner observing Vivid. Our experience was like something from Fawlty Towers. Not what I expect given I am an Accor Platinum member and a regular guest at the hotel. Firstly our booking was not registered inspite of me showing our host my booking confirmation. We were placed in the furtherest table from the window, almost sitting behind the reception desk. Secondly we asked what type of oysters they were and we were told they were Sydney Rock so we ordered them, when they arrived they were clearly Pacific Oyster, not to our taste as they are too big. We asked our attendant to check with the Chef and she confirmed they were Pacific, we asked to take them back and we ordered something different. Our entree was served before our wine was even brought to the table and we had to prompt for it, to be told they didn’t know if they had any. For our main we ordered a share plate of what was supposed to be an 800gm whole barramundi. It came out looking nothing like an800 gram fish (and we know because we fish ourselves) it would have been somewhere between 400-500 gram and it cost $128 for this fish! Unlike most in the restaurant, who were not in house guests and were having a fixed menu dinner, we no doubt spent much more on our wine and three course a-la-Carter’s dinner. When I went to sign for bill I was told that shared plates don’t receive my Platinum Accor discount. This was not mentioned by a single person during the ordering of our meal. Overall we felt treated with distain by a team of untrained and inexperienced members who were out of their depth catering for dinner for Vivid. Anyway we learn, we won’t be dining there again, nor will we recommend Q Dining to anyone.
