About Q Dining
Situated on the edge of bustling Circular Quay, this Sydney harbourside restaurant provides an exceptional Sydney dining experience with spectacular views and exceptional service.
The staff were efficient and we were impressed with how quickly our meals were brought to us. A truely wonderful fine dining experience in an amazing location.
At booking, I was asked if I was celebrating any occasion and I put down that it was my wife's birthday. However, there was no gesture from Q dining about that. A little disappointed.
*Accor member benefits is not acceptable for set menu which is very disappointing. * It took so much time to bring bread, kept asking and waiter said it’s coming soon then we finished starter and also nearly half of main meal finished, he brought bread. Why it took so much time, we just don’t understand it. * they charged wrong price for bottle of wine, luckily checked receipts and point out but they charged $30 extra and no apology and just fixed the bill * meal is average not impressive, service is not impressed neither never go back again
Drink service was terrible to say the least It took 1/2 hour to receive a cocktail whilst the staff stood around talking and we were also waiting to have our food order taken. Given we were one of only TWO tables of two in the entire restaurant this is unacceptable!
I have attended Q dinning numerous times over the last few years. On the last two occasions service quality had deteriorated. Either needed to correct mistakes (eg wrong food to the table, bill errors) or ask/remind them for items that should have been provided eg needing to request bread plates or remind them on a desert wine order that should have accompanied the desert). I also preferred the approach when bread was provided as part of the service rather than an extra
Unfortunately, we didn't stay to eat as the atmosphere and service was disappointing from the time of arrival. There were few patrons when we got there and yet it took 10minutes before our drinks order was taken. We arrived ten minutes early for our reservation and while there were many tables available a waitress made a comment regarding the time of our arrival. Moreover, the atmosphere of the restaurant is far more relaxed then we had expected and the noise from the bar upstairs was inconsistent, loud and disruptive due to patrons coming and going. While there is not much the restaurant can do with regards to loud patrons from the bar upstairs it certainly made for an uncomfortable Atmosphere and certainly decreased the value of the experience, not worthy of the fine dining prices. Lastly, there were no views of the harbour or opera house and the hotel staff were less than helpful. The service between the hot the we stayed at and quay pullman was significant and thus we thanked our earlier judgement for deciding against staying at the Quay hotel.
Will definitely be back.
Great views and great service
Very good all around. Great service, great food, delicious cocktails
Worst Duck fat potatoes I have had, basically boiled potato with some seasoning on top. Second boil was same potatoes coooked in a deep fryer, no duck fa to be tasted! For $48 I would have expected a full size fish fillet instead of one torn in half and served to my partner and I We have dined here previously but will never again, worst meal experience in years combined with the warm wine served
Egg sandwiches - bread quite dry on the edges of some Scone quite dense - preference for plain scones with jam and cream Tables very chipped on the corners.
Service was patchy. Ages to take drinks order. Took away bread before it was finished Bread plates out on right hand side! Food is expensive for what it is. Great location and views. Slow to get the bill paid.
Ordered Bailey with milk, no provided.
The waiter who served us was probably one of the best I’ve ever had he deserves a raise
Our favourite fine dinning restaurant. Staff are friendly and accommodating. View is priceless food is exquisite, ambience is great!
It is always a pleasure to have lunch a Q Dining. Lovely view, good food, good service.
We love this restaurant and whenever we have the opportunity when visiting Sydney we dine at Q Dining. We also brings friends with us to enjoy the wonderful venue, menu and service. They are always impressed
Great views and atmosphere
My partner and I have visited this restaurant and its predecessor several times. We are Accor Club members and have stayed at the adjoining hotel. We waited for a while at the desk and were then led to our table. No bread or appetiser offered as in the past. I had to request a pre theatre menu that was not offered. My partner ordered the scallops which came with a huge swirl of salt crystals on the plate, pretty but inedible. I was not asked how I wanted my steak cooked (first time) but it was okay if lukewarm. Kipfler potatoes in duck fat were dry and tasteless, but there was not salt or pepper on the table to fix this. I had the cheese platter for dessert. This came with olive bread and breadsticks the size of small straws, useless. I like blue cheese, but two blue cheeses is one too many. Service was poor so we did not order alcohol, water rarely topped up and we had to ask for sugar with our coffee. We will not be returning.
We had a very lovely visit to Q Dining, and I want to thank the staff for the thoughtful extra touch at the end of our meal with a little Happy Birthday chocolate plate to my granddaughter on her 21st birthday. Thankyou.
Thank you for making me extra special on a very special day 👍🏼
Lovely setting, good food, great service
The cocktails we ordered have a lot of ice. This is a restaurant that I loved for the past few years. Hence I chose this restaurant to host a dinner for my family who was visiting Australia for the first time. But the dining experience on 10/07/2019 is not the same anymore. 1. Breads are not complimentary anymore. 2. For a group of 7 people, 4 small slices of butter and pinch of salt are definitely not enough. 3. We need to call for water. 4. In my instruction to the hotel, I specifically requested that prices will be omitted. The waitress discussed prices around the table, which made the ambiance awkward. I have been advised that things have been changed 4 months ago and I was reminded that it is a fine dining restaurant. As a result, we just had our 1 dish meal and immediately left. The experience is nothing special and definitely to say that it is a fine dining restaurant is an idea that needs more work. This is a restaurant that will depend on the location and nothing more.
With an Accor Advantage card the dining represents fair value. The service was a bit slow when I was ready to pay and leave but the view really makes the venue. Good to see a new menu at last.
Kate was great. She made our night with her friendliness, knowledge of the menu and her recommendations. The tenderloins were delicious and perfectly cooked
