About Q Dining
Situated on the edge of bustling Circular Quay, this Sydney harbourside restaurant provides an exceptional Sydney dining experience with spectacular views and exceptional service.
Having dined at Q Dining on many occasions, I was somewhat disappointed with the venues management for maintaining a safe distance between all dining patrons. This was exasperated when we met a Chef in the bathroom wearing her Apron. Most unacceptable on a number of levels, including basic hygiene practices.
Fabulous meal, wonderful location, fairly priced. Absolutely loved it! We just couldn't work out why we had never heard of it before and why it wasn't packed as it deserves to be.
The excellent food , great service and superb views were overshadowed by the loud noise from the music and patrons emanating from the venue above the restaurant.
Very disappointed with service overall. There were only three tables occupied at six when we came. We were completely ignored by staff and had to call them each time we wanted something. This happened from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. When we finally manage to summon someone to take our orders, she was very pleasant and the food did come quickly. But, the food was also extremely disappointing. When I ordered I asked for my meal to be extra spicy. It wasn’t. And the girl taking my order even said I wouldn’t need to ask for this because it would be spicy enough! . Extremely disappointing and I will not be returning ever.
I had a pasta but found it had curry taste there, in a pasta! Sorry I felt sick the whole night after I had a pasta with curry taste.
Wonderful meal with great staff, service and atmosphere. We loved it and will definitely come back soon. The only odd thing was the strange negative answer when my wife asked for a to-go box for her leftover meal. Please make arrangements for that or tell us to bring our own solid food container next time so we can enjoy your great cooking for lunch the next day if we can't finish that evening.
Lovely atmosphere & views, very bright though. Food was good, although my lamb was not very hot. Service was average, had to get up from the table & get our wine from the ice bucket, glasses had been empty at least 10mins. We received a nice dessert plate to share as it was 3 of our birthdays...but it came very late, we were about to pay our bill, then had to return to our table to enjoy it.
Food great for dinner Breakfast average Only once offered a drink during 2 hours. You can see potential, bar upstairs and loud noise distorted the experience.
Hi The noise from the floor above was really off putting for the atmosphere & service just slow.
One of our best meals . Q has a great location and food and service it Excellent. Thank you for a great 1st experience and we shall be back
Water glass wasn’t clean, it had lipstick stains. Had to ask for water to be replenished. Had to show waitress what wine we wanted from the wine list.
Very good food, definitely will go again. Service needs improvement, tables are not at the same height and the round tables are hard to manage for group booking. I learned how to request square tables next time.
Lovely food, friendly attentive service and an impressive wine list. Plenty of variety on the menu and everything was prepared beautifully. Only minor comment - the restaurant is starting to look a little tired (the carpet tiles were noticeably worn-out).
Fantastic venue with spectacular food and view. Really great place to meet friends and be able to talk without having to shout to be heard. Great staff
Very nice food. Beautiful location. It was an excellent dining experience. Thank you Q Dining!
Amazing food, service very good, a real delight to dine
We were surprised to be given marmalade with out high tea so requested jams and were provided with a selection of mini jars - including a marmalade! We had to ask for our tea to be served and we also had to keep asking for water. Other than that the food was excellent, no curly sandwiches here, and the view was lovely. Not the best high tea in Sydney but definitely not the worst.
Overall a nice night. The lighting was too bright to celebrate valentines. Staff were sweet and food was lovely. Wine pairing was ok but serving red wine with fish was a bad move. It should have been a glass of red and a class of white re the beef and the fish, great value .... thank you 😘
Great service, great ambience. Would be nice to also have a la carte option on Valentines day.
I booked for 5.30 and arrived by 5.45 letting the staff know we had the opera at 7 and needed to leave by 6.40. The entree came at 6.10 andf the main at 6.35. Not pre theatre timing for a 7pm show. We had to rush and didn't enjoy our meal esp having 5m to eat main course. Also the waitress had never heard of a campari and soda. I ordered it and explained and pointed to it in the bar. It didn't come. I asked another girl. Ice and campari on the side arrived . No soda. By 6.20 it finally arrived. Not rocket science. And not cheap. Not very impressed all round.
Good selection of food but taste was average. Big let down was the service. We had to ask multiple times for our water and wine to be topped up and it wasn't even busy, there were only 3 other group in the restaurant.
Columbian female server was most helpful with lunch suggestions for the group
An excellent experience!
An iconic location
