About Prive 249
Privé249 is a stylishly indulgent chic dining experience offering both a la carte and set price menus in an exquisite location overlooking the Brisbane city lights
Is without a doubt Brisbane’s best fine dining restaurant. The service from Lhites, Gino and Rhys is second to none. Little things like remembering our favourite bottle of wine adds a special touch
Amazing food and service
Staff were her friendly
Indulgently delicious. At the high end of the price scale, but clearly expertly crafted and decent serving sizes. We we satisfied. Service was excellent. I did ask for my lobster tail to be cooked a bit more - I don't know if I'm missing some unique and high end way to serve lobster tail, but I do prefer it cooked completely through, and this one was quite rare. It was corrected to my taste, no problem. Dessert Creme Brulee was silky and smooth, wine (Phillip Shaw No.8) delicious. Seats are comfy, tables roomy, view lovely. Recommended.
Really great evening, food sensational, service knowledgeable, efficient without being intrusive. Menu comprehensive, wine list quite good and fairly priced for the surroundings and experience. Will be back!
Wonderful food (cooking, flavour, interest & presentation), and excellent, friendly, service. Lovely spot next to the clock tower. We were also treated to a complimentary plate of gorgeous quality (?hand-made) chocolates for our anniversary. Thank you for a delightful dining experience!
This was our first dining experience at Prive 249 as we usually dine at Thyme. The restaurant has a lovely setting and outlook and is set up well for intimate dining. The food was mostly enjoyable, not outstanding, for the main I had the Hot Seafood Platter which was good, however the star feature being the crayfish was overcooked. Wine was purchased by the glass and we were not asked which size, the waiter just automatically assumed large, so $66.00 for three glasses of wine was a little rich (once discussed with the waiter the bill was reduced accordingly). The service and wait time was slow, with the overall time from sit down to dessert taking 2 hours and 45 minutes. We will continue to dine at Thyme in future.
Food was wonderful. Drinks were on the side of ridiculous. Easily 2-3 times the price they needed to be. Service was very pleasant and friendly.
Setting and environment is nice. My 55C steak was delicious, along with the sticky toffee pudding dessert. However, we were celebrating our engagement which I had noted on the Accor Plus booking, which wasn’t even acknowledged. My fiancé ordered the salmon-en-croute, which was mediocre at best. Dry and bland. The eclairs for dessert were a joke. Looked super cheap, and seemed like the lot were lifted from a supermarket. Not acceptable for a $75 asking price. Also, $10 for two measly bread rolls? Is this a joke?? To add insult to injury, we were waiting an hour for our main course, with no explanation as to why it was delayed. It wasn’t even that busy. Would not return or recommend.
Oysters were not very good.
We had a relaxing, enjoyable time with great service and delicious food. Thank you.
The manager is incredible. Absolutely loved it
We had an excellent night, beautiful food and service was prompt and of a high standard.
A terribly disappointing evening. We have often dined at Thyme, but as we were at the Sofitel for 2 nights, then a nice dinner at Prive249 would be in order. A glass each of Veuve to start the night - unfortunately my glass was flat - not a bubble in sight. Easily rectified and replaced with a fresh glass. Disappointing but not night ending. Oysters Kilpatrick and Mornay - unfortunately Kilpatrick oysters were cold (all oysters were very small) - Mornay was more like melted cheese. 2 strikes out of 2. Whilst eating the oysters the waitress leaned across me completely to take away my side plate- mid meal?? poor training and etiquette at 5 star hotel and restaurant. 3 strikes out of 2. Main meal eye fillet and Lobster thermidor. Eye fillet very nice, but the lobster was not cooked and inedible. Waiter informed and agreed it was uncooked - offered to have a fresh one cooked, which was the correct response but by then I had had enough and wasn't interested in prolonging the agony. The meal was discounted but the experience and memory means I would not eat there again. PS my partner had the barramundi with macadamia nuts and she enjoyed that. That is why the 0ne star instead of zero. A very poor end to what had been a very nice day.
Every time we go to Brisbane, this is the restaurant we go to. We love the atmosphere, the view, the food and the service!
Without a doubt one of the best fine dining restaurant in Brisbane and within the Accor group of hotels
Best Accor restaurant in Asia, Pacific & Middle East
Very good as usual
Had Lamb special and tough not good
The food was fantastic and we had a lovely window seat however there were not enough wait staff as we had to wait a considerable time to order and even to get extra water as the waiter was run off his feet.
dinned here on Monday night and it was excellent the garlic mooloolaba prawns were the best dined again on Tuesday night and my wife and i had the prawns again and they were half the size and the dish was nowhere near the quality of previous night and service was slow
Every aspect was just beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent service. Quality of food very nice, my meal nicely seasoned, flavour are well balanced and nicely presented.
Excellent service and menu
Reasonable food, poor service, classy but dreary atmosphere. Probably not in a hurry to return.
