About Prive 249
Privé249 is a stylishly indulgent chic dining experience offering both a la carte and set price menus in an exquisite location overlooking the Brisbane city lights
Beautiful meal and setting. Maybe more clear on GF options now they are not marked on the menu
We celebrated my wife's birthday in your Prive249 restaurant and were a little underwhelmed by the experience considering the 'fine dining' status of the restaurant. Specific irritations were 1. Wine by the glass starting at $13 for only 75mls - most other restaurants we frequent are happy to serve 100 or 125mls for their lowest wine serving - 75mls looks like penny pinching! 2. Although I enjoyed my wife's company, our 3 course meal took over 2 hours - so far too long between courses! 3. I had the Chef's special (duck breast) - the meat was great but the accompaniments were many and varied and did not all compliment the dish 4. My wife had the rack of lamb and requested 'medium' - the meat arrived 'rare' but I understand that French err a little on the 'rare' side with their meat 5. The wait staff were courteous but not particularly engaging (ie. there was no relationship there) - a good waiter can greatly add to the dining enjoyment Finally, despite several negatives, we did appreciate the plate of post dinner sweets from the restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday - thank you! I hope we have a better experience if we decide to return in the future
Had a really lovely meal, great service and super acoustics for easy chatting.
Sehr bemuehtes Personal, kalte Atmosphaere.
Food was very good with a great menu. Waiter had to be asked to provide bread to the table after a few minutes after none was served initially. Also, same waiter had to be asked to supply biscuits to the table to accompany the coffee after I noticed other tables had the biscuits on their tables. Great coffee though. Good night.
We enjoyed the best meal ever, loved the ambience of the restaurant, the staff were friendly and we will definitely return.
Don't be in a hurry to eat and leave. 2 course dinner took 2 hours!
Delicious food, intimate atmosphere, very good service.
It was a beautiful fine dining restaurant would recommend it highly just loved it Thankyou cheers 🥂
Menu range limited, but quality of meals very good.
It was a lovely atmosphere with very welcoming staff and of course, delicious food.
We had an amazing waiter who provided quality and friendly service. Food was amazing. We had the 3 course and chose accompanying wines which were really nice, so much so we added a bottle of one of them. It was a special occasion and we were treated special. Thank you amazing.
As always very good service from the boys and girls
Rhys looked after us during our dining experience. My friend loved her birthday dinner. Thank you
It was good without being great. With my Accor plus discount it was good value, but otherwise very expensive. Friendly and attentive service.
I have eaten at Prive 249 on several occasions and there is a consistent theme - it’s slow. The food is very good, however the two wait staff are pumped to properly service the guests. The wait time is too long, 30 minutes to receive an entree and then an hour wait for the main. Desert was delivered promptly but on request. I keep hoping for a better dining experience but have been let down three times. It is advantageous being an Accor Plus member as the meal is half price for two. If however, I was not a member I would not dine in the restaurant as it would represent poor value for money.
Enjoyable evening. Our meal was excellent and I would definitely dine here again.
I was very disappointed with the Henschke Event, was marketed as a Prive 249 event so expecting a small dining room affair but held in the Ballroom with the closest 200+ people. The food was pretty ordinary a piece of blue cheese for desert and potato gems with the steak that was fairly rare, not enough staff for service. Overall a very poor experience and not one I would go to again
If you check your records, I sent the Sofitel an email on Saturday 28th September saying how upset I was to have received an email from them saying they couldn't guarantee the safety of my husband due to his fish/seafood allergy so we should bring an epipen with us. We obviously did not attend this wine dinner even though we had paid almost $300 to attend. I have received no response other than asking me for feedback on how much we enjoyed this dinner. We have never been to any restaurants before that have advised us that they could not guarantee there would be no cross contamination particularly a prestigious venue such as the Sofitel.
This was part of the Henschke wine event which was held in the ballroom on level 2. Atmosphere was affected by the number of people and there were times where people were rudely talking while the wine maker was being interviewed. Value for money I suppose was based on a premium being paid for the event and the big red wine (Wheelwright) didn't hit the mark for the 4 in our party. - a little disappointing. The opening 2019 Riesling was very good, the 5 shillings Shiraz was okay -acknowledging these are personal views.
The whole evening was really lovely. The food was beautifully prepared and served. Everything went really well.
Attended Accor Sofitel Wine Days event and it was an excellent experience. Great speaker, delicious food and wine. Can’t wait for the next event.
Excellent food considering about 200 guests Very noisy room
Perfect place to dine
