About Prive 249
Privé249 is a stylishly indulgent chic dining experience offering both a la carte and set price menus in an exquisite location overlooking the Brisbane city lights
Excellent service and delicious food.
Amazing, as always.
The service was very professional. Very happy with everything.
Great service and excellent food. Well done Prive 249. Highly recommended.
My partner and I have been here a few times. Usually the service is amazing but this time we felt like we were being treated differently... I felt like we weren’t good enough to be there. The oysters are delicious, but sometimes you get the odd one that tastes like a mouth full of sand. The mains are average. The presentation is beautiful. The desserts are lovely but the creme brûlée turns into soup by the time we get it. I love the atmosphere! It feels very intimate and you can actually hear and talk to whoever you’re with. We’re Accors members so everything is 50% off. Love it! Overall, it’s a nice place to invite guests for dinner or to catch up.
My wife and I enjoyed an exquisite meal on our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. We enjoyed the service and especially the gift chocolate / sweet plate at the conclusion of the meal. Thank you and we will be back!
If I could give zero stars for service & atmosphere I would! One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long while. We arrived for our booking on time & were seated at a set table with a bottle of champagne on ice. The waiter then said it was a complimentary bottle, when I enquired why he stated because it was meant to be sent to your room? Again I enquired why? After we were half way through our first glass he then came back across to our table took the bottle out of the ice & then enquired to our name on the booking? When I repeated our surname, the waiter the said that's not the name you gave me? He then said there had been a mistake & I won't charge you for the glasses of the current glasses of champagne we were drinking! My husband & I were both incredibly embarrassed & we were made to feel that this was our mistake. To make matters worse we then had to ride in the elevator with the couple that was actually suppose to get the champagne, with them vocalising how horrible their experience was also!! We have been loyal customers of Sofitel since they open in Brisbane & have always wanted to try Prive 249, I really regret trying it & won't be back, it's a pity the Resturant staff are not as professional as the hotels reception staff.
There are so many great gluten free breads available now it’s a shame you don’t have any of them! Yr regular bread looks great though 😏
Very slow to be attended after being seated. Not even offered drinks. Early sitting, yet 2 items of desert menu sold out !!!
1. I ordered the Snapper which was cooked to perfection however the grape sauce was disappointing and spoiled the dish. 2. The chocolate Creme Brûlée was more like a chocolate moose 3 The fresh oysters were perfect 4. My wife had the Lamb cutlets which she thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely return
Wonderful dinner and we will be back.
Wonderful service with great food and excellent wine list. Thoughtful touches for a special occasion.
Our group of 6 all enjoyed our meals, mains with sides only. My husband & I ordered the Barramundi dish each but was told later on that there there was only 1 available. This was disappointing and we were wondering why a 5 Star hotel kitchen could run out of this iconic fish dish on a Thursday night, but agreed to have snapper as the replacement, cooked the same way.
Fabulous experience. However the wait staff were not attentive.
Beautiful Staff, nice atmosphere. Feels exclusive. Meals were delicious
The manager of the area is excellent though other staff ciykd benefit from training.
Fantastic service, great atmosphere and amazing food, we will definitely be back!
Great service, felt valued and would love to come again soon!
Another great meal matched with good service
My expectations were not met
Privé249 promotes the fine dining experience offering carefully selected menus either a la carte or degustation. The location is in the busy Sofitel ground floor but past the noise and into a quiet retreat with stunning views of the Brisbane skyline. A good selection of wines by the glass or bottle is available at prices reasonable to their quality. The menu has a selection of fish, fowl, lamb, beef and vegetarian options. Our lamb was perfectly cooked, tender with vegetables and in a reduction sauce and accompanied by white bean paste, black garlic and mustard. Similarly, delicious was our other dish of Tasmanian salmon, king mushrooms and zucchini. Crème brûlée du jour departed from the traditional vanilla, including Nutella, too adventurous for our taste, and, despite luscious sounding alternative sweets, we opted for the cheese platter that was more than adequate for two. This included 5 cheeses, and a fresh past reminiscent of pears and perfect with the cheese selection. Service was exceptional and knowledge of the offerings and last-minute changes in view of ingredient availability. All in all a great location for an intimate evening celebration.
Food and service were good Restaurant a little lacking in atmosphere
It was just perfect. The service, the food, and the atmosphere! Thank you.
We enjoyed our meal for our Anniversary on Saturday night. We loved the quiet restaurant setting and greatly enjoyed the delicious food and wine. We will definitely return again soon.
Everything was fabulous, from the minute we were greeted at the door to when we left. Thank you!
