Booked our daughter's 18th Family Party Meal at The Portelet Inn and we had a Wonderful evening. The Food all came out at the same time, hot and plenty, Everyone loved theirs. All the staff were happy & smiling & chatty. We Loved every minute. Thank you for everything.
Everyone was really lovely and helpful! We had a big group of 25 and everyone had a ball.
Staff were nice however price for a vegetarian burger was very steep
We keep coming back! My parents were honeymooners in the 1950s and used to come to the Portelet to drink and be merry but also everyone used to flock to see the floral displays outside the pub! So whenever any member of the family finds their self in Jersey -we,re sure to visit the Portelet! Dad likes traditional food : lovely steak pie whereas I’m a veggie and my sister, GF! My husband loves seafood and guess what The Portelet caters for all in the most delicious way! Cheers and see you next time!
Fast and friendly service. Great vegan choices.
Very nice food Very helpful staff
Lovely meal and good service
Went for my Mums 80th lovely table upstairs excellent food and our server was very nice. The music was brilliant best ever experienced In a restaurant.Highly recommend 😄
The pizzas are amazing. I love the way you are able to bring your dog too. The only real downside is that there is no evening entertainment such a singer.
When I booked online I was just guessing which area to sit in, luckily because I put in the notes about needing a high chair, the ladies knew I’d rather be sitting by the play area than where I had booked to sit. They made sure we had a table to sit at by the play area which was lovely. A very lovely place to sit for food, the play area is just unreal! Absolutely amazing! Makes me wish I was a child again. Service was really great, food was lovely, dessert was delicious! I just loved the set up of the place. we're not originally from Jersey but next time we come I would certainly visit again for lunch!
Good, prompt service and very good food. Ate in The Loft where staff were excellent. Will definitely return.
Really great staff
The food was delicious and the service was very attentive 😊
Nice food & friendly staff.
Sorry but won't be returning ! Food was overpriced and was completely bland ! I had the seafood linguini ...awful I was so disappointed , couldn't taste a thing your chef clearly doesn't understand seasoning or flavour , my hubby had a fish pie ...again tasteless no fish just a bit of boiled egg , my daughter had a very COLD pizza , if we wasn't so hungry we would have left for sure . Will not return ever , such a shame as it was a beautiful location , Very disappointed customer , I feel as I write this I'm wasting my time as you clearly don't know or care how bad your food is ! L Cassidy .
Lovely food and very well priced - would highly recommend!
Great food, really surprised how much it had improved since I'd last been. The service was great due to the restaurant not being busy that evening. Overall it was a great meal, thank you.
On three different occasions we asked for sauce, a beer and a dessert and all three times we were forgotten about and had to remind the waiters. Good food but poor service reflected for the price on the menu.
Had our sons christening party at portelet and it was fantastic, the food was excellent and the service fantastic. Thank you
I can appreciate that there was a coach party in so you were busy, but we were sat in a side room where it was really chilly. We asked for tartare sauce as the one on our table was empty. It never arrived. The mushy peas were cold & the batter on the cod was under cooked. However the fish pie was delicious.
Really like the Portelet inn usually , but today not great, had the roast, beef nicely cooked but just warm, rest of meal barely warm and veg not cooked, had to keep asking for anything and half the time no staff to be seen. Dessert wasn’t any better, Eaton mess was a real “mess” half a spoon of frozen fruit atop a plate of tinned whipped cream and not great meringue , no sauce, no taste , and the chocolate brownie was dry, and when we asked for the chocolate sauce it was meant to come with , 5 minutes later the waiter appeared with a bottle of Tate and Lyle shop bought sauce and squeezed it all over our brownie and walked off 😳 Not the best , when your paying £6 for a dessert Hope things get better as This was poor and they used to do a cracking roast and puds , and had good service
Service was 'just' okay but waited ages for someone to take our drinks order. Just comparing to the 'Old' Portelet Inn her but the food has risen in price and the portions are definitely smaller Nice atmosphere as always though, but would think twice about calling it our favourite place in future.
