About Portelet Inn
An old world granite farmhouse dating back to the 16oo's. above the clifftops of Portelet Bay. The bar & restaurant has a children's restaurant, Mamma's kitchen, with an indoor & outdoor play area. The main bar has a wide selection of Real Ales & a log fire in the winter. The loft bar has outstanding views of Portelet Bay with two balconies for al fresco dining. There is plenty of al fresco seating with ample parking. Menus are able to view www.randalls-jersey.co.uk.
I appreciate how busy a popular place like Portelet can get and am happy to wait for such lovely food but Sundays service was horrendous and our waiter had no hint of a warm and welcoming attitude at all. An hour between courses is too long and it’ll be a good while before we go back in the hope of an improvement. Such a shame as the food was fab, just the timing was off, way off :-(
Excellent food, service & value for money
Terrible food. Have been often over the years but won’t let coming again
Lovely place to visit with great service & food.
The staff are lovely, very friendly. The food was very good, my only complaint would be that the roast potatoes on the Sunday dinner were far too over cooked. The atmosphere when we visited earlier in the week for lunch was lovely, on this occasion I wish I had booked a little later to avoid the children’s birthday party, that’s just me getting old!
Beautiful setting with lovely pub food. Friendly and efficient staff who are super helpful.
No atmosphere because we were stuck at table next to a window overlooking the car park and next to the exit from behind the bar. Members of staff and public constantly walking past our table or stopping at it to let people past. Food was only average with several things on the menu were “off”. Was very disappointed. We had visited here the last twice we were on holiday on Jersey and had looked forward to returning. Really felt as if it had gone downhill
We were both underwhelmed with the food to be perfectly honest. My wife’s fish pie was extremely peppered and my fish and chips was average at best. We had been in the Tenby a few days previous to our visit and it was outstanding, we expected the same but were sadly disappointed
Roast lamb was a bit chewy, fatty and over cooked. Otherwise a really nice lunch and we were very well looked after.
A lovely evening, food and service never disappoints. Highly recommend
Brought some friends for lunch who were on holiday. We had a walk towards Noirmont and then lunch at the Portelet Inn. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Will definitely come again.
Very enjoyable evening. I was unaware until afterwards of the sad death of the manager. I am sorry to hear about that and think the staff did an admirable job keeping up the high standard of service in difficult circumstances.
Everything you would expect from a chain owned pub. Reasonable food at reasonable prices served by well trained and polite staff. A bit soulless though.
Very helpful staff
Superb food for our party of 15 could not fault the service.
We were a party of 9 who had booked months ahead for our friends birthday whilst we were in Jersey. We had a table in the vault with fabulous views & great atmosphere. The food was excellent with superb portions & cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend the Portelet Inn as they go out of their way to look after their guests. We will be back on our next visit.
Great evening, very busy
Beautiful setting. The staff are very accommodating and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I were there for a special occasion and the staff made sure everything was special. Thank you
Stefan was great!
Great food, great staff, very enjoyable time, 10/10 would recommend
We ate here twice whilst on holiday the food, service, views etc were really good - our favourite restaurant of the holiday. We ate in the Loft for the first time having eaten downstairs in previous years, I liked the Loft, Stefan looked after us very well - will be back next year!
Easy to book online, got the outside table we requested. Great meal and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
Food was great moules where delicious , my son had the ribs and said they where the best he’d eaten ! , service was very good , value for money . Lovely setting upstairs
Absolutely stunning meal which both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed
Couldn’t fault at all. We visit the pub every time we visit the island and it never disappoints.
