About Popolo Shoreditch
We cook Italian inspired creative little plates with Middle Eastern and Spanish influences.
We work with carefully sourced produce treated with minimum fuss.
The menu takes inspiration from the regions and the seasons.
We also hand roll fresh pasta for every service.
We pour natural and low intervention wines. Small producers, authenticity and a lot of character.
We allocate 2 hours per booking.
Owing to size we cannot seat groups above 7 people unless via prior arrangement.
The food was too salty. There’s too much sauce on every dish and we both found it too overpowering.
lovely restaurant, great service and food - all very fresh with a "buzzy" and busy atmosphere.
Food and service was amazing!
Fantastic service and amazing food
An excellent evening, food and service were outstanding. We will definitely return on our next trip to London!
Great food and service, price on the high range.
Love the Octopus and the bavette
Great food, great people!
Food was absolutely delicious - cannot wait to go back. Service could use some sharpening up
Always a fabulous meal at Popolo Shoreditch. So welcoming; so delicious; so life-affirming.
The staff is extremely friendly, and the food very lovely, however, slightly on the small side. We’d highly recommend slow cooked lamb! Also, the chef easily worked around the menu to make it gluten and dairy free friendly!
The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to take our table 20 mins ahead of time. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was exceptional. As there were 4 of us, we were able to try almost everything on the menu (apart from the meat dishes). Nothing was a disappointment. thank you. We'll be back!
First time I’ve had orange wine and was delicious. Fantastic food as well, really fresh. A great lunch all round
Beautiful food. Every single dish is superb
The food was nice but i was hoping for exceptional due to the good reviews and Bib Gourmand recommendation. So it was a slight let down. Beautiful place and nice wine.
The service was very nice and friendly. We did enjoy the food as well, very tasty but thought portion were too small for the price charged. For example, the bread was charged £2 for 3 small tiny slices, the octopus portion was also very small for the £15 charged, the winter beet and carrots had barely 2 slices of carrots and beets.... would be nice to review the portion size as in other restaurant while le price is the same, we actually get more on the plate
Lovely little place!
We eat out quite a lot in London and while this was nice, it was nothing overly memorable and for sharing plates, definitely on the expensive side. £16 for pasta plates which werent small, but definitely werent main dishes is over the top and overall we spent £50 a head, which isnt that unhear of for us, but we would normally expect to a. have pretty memorable food and b. be pretty full. As it was , it was a nice, if not memorable meal.
Absolutely loved it. Everything we ate was delicious and the staff were lovely! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks for having us :)
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and service, great cooking
Outstanding as always. My third visit; staff helpful and friendly and the food is simply fantastic. I will return again!!
Excellent and original take on Italian food
Excellent seasonal menu , a great little place for lunch.
Service perfect, very tasty. Bread is charged and the service is very quick. It does not leave you time to appreciate and relax. But the dishes are very good and tasty, especially the amazing octopus/aubergine.
