About Platform 61
Platform 61 is offering a bold, refreshing and healthy take on contemporary European cuisine.
Our story is inspired by the adventure that is Track 61, an abandoned underground platform under the famous Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York. This platform allowed VIPs to enter the hotel in a more private manner via a specially built private golden lift. One of the most famous VIPs that frequently used the platform was Franklin D. Roosevelt. Legend has it that Roosevelt’s armor-plated car would drive off the train, onto the platform and straight into the especially made golden elevator, which would lead to the hotel’s garage.
In 1965 the platform was used by the famous pop artist Andy Warhol for his ‘underground party’.
The quest for the platform, known as Track 61 has become a holy grail for many urban explorers.

Viktor was a great host and very attentive. Will be back next time we’re in Dublin!
Amazing food and cocktails
Very good food, very friendly staff and great athmosphere
The food was amazing and so reasonable, the restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere
Fabulous bottomless mimosas and food
We had the pre theatre menu which is excellent value. Service was very good considering that the restaurant was full. Overall a great evening of food and wine....
It was a great experience would definitely recommend for an intimate dinner. Nice interior design. You need directions though to get to the hidden toilets but its a nice touch. would return!
Amazing (and generous) bottomless brunch! Our server couldn’t have been more lovely. Great decor and location. Everything you want in brunch :)
Always enjoy my visit to Platform 61. The food is excellent. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are very polite and helpful. A little gem in the heart of the city. Would highly recommend it.
Average. Everything was okay but wouldn't return. Restaurant, food, service all average. Bottomless prosecco option was poor, plenty restaurants offering better value and experience.
Had dinner at 5:30pm and the place was already busy. It's a very small space and a little bit cramped but it does have a nice atmosphere. We were put at a table near a pretty rowdy group and when I asked to move the staff were very obliging and gave us a table in the front area. The food was fabulous!! So fresh and tasty. I had lamb and my boyfriend had beef and they were both lean, tender and cooked perfectly. The staff were very polite and attentive. The food is a little expensive but it's probably fairly average for the area of Dublin it's in and the food is so good I didn't mind spending a bit more. Would definitely recommend
Everything was lovely
Really good brunch spot, good service and very handy to be able to book online.
Such a lovely meal! Staff couldn’t have been nicer 😊
Platform 61 was great, there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty. We had a great time here and looking forward to returning.
Really lovely relaxing vibe .
Excellent food, restaurant never fails to impress. Staff are courteous pleasant and friendly. Nothing is a problem. The food is always hot.
We had a wonderful experience at this lovely restaurant on Saturday last beautiful food fantastic staff will definitely return
Our first First Table experience, held in Platform 61 was, in a word, WONDERFUL! We were welcomed warmly into the restaurant and the person who seated us seemed excited that we were their first diners using First Table. I certainly didn’t feel any of the awkwardness that I’ve sometimes felt before when using other discount schemes in restaurants... The staff were exceptional - warm, friendly and chatty without intruding.. it gave a lovely ambience to the setting. As for the food - it was stunning.. starters of prawns for my partner and chicken skewers for me we’re both delicious. Our mains were lamb, cooked beautifully, and hake cooked with mussels in a saffron broth - it was sensational! The side of baby roast potatoes with truffle and Parmesan were incredibly tasty too! We almost didn’t have dessert because we’d already eaten so well but temptation won out and we ordered a white chicolate and raspberry brûlée (and two spoons) which was up there with the best I’ve ever eaten... we had a glass of wine each and our final bill, thanks to First Table, came in at an incredible €55! We’re hooked! Both on the whole idea of First Table and on Platform 61, which we’ll happily visit again.. All in all a five-star experience - can’t wait for the next one!
This was my second visit and it didn’t disappoint the food was sooo good, our host recommended a wine and didn’t go for the most expensive one on the list ! He had time to speak to us and every table ! We we’re just so impressed and already looking forward to our next visit !!
Fantastic restaurant that I would freely recommend to anyone. We went for my brother's stag do and there was quite a few of us but the service was amazing and we were treated very well with smiles. They were also very good at filling up our bottomless mimosas as well! Food was very good as well, extremely filling and well worth the price.
What a pleasure it was to return and experience another fabulous evening in platform 61, The Chef has added something special to the menu that gives an extra special taste experience, the Maitre D gives you 100% attention and make sure you feel special. You can be sure that you will enjoy your visit and want to return to try more from the menu. Love it
Great food and service when I visited for the first time last week. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Had an amazing experience last night at your venue, from the moment walking in everything was perfect! Exceptional customer service from the staff and especially Viktor, the Manager. The food was also of a high standard, can't praise enough! Will definitely be back again!!!
