Great knowledgeable staff working front of house, amazing to be served by someone so passionate about wine, we would have left earlier for a drink elsewhere but the waiter listened to what we wanted and suggested the perfect wine so we stayed longer. Thank you
Delicious lunch - wonderful main courses ( the plaice being excellent), really favoursome unusual twists on the side vegetables, the Wine, the yummy desserts. And the service friendly. What’s not to love about Plateau for lunch!
Really beautiful modern menu, lovely staff Lots of quality wine and drinks Relaxed atmosphere
We had a lovely dinner on a Saturday, food was delicious, service was great and so was the atmosphere. We will be returning!
portions are s but on the small size other than that, we had a nice evening.
Really nice atmosphere, great service, completely unhurried and relaxed. Thank you!
Our fourth annual visit to Brighton and Plateau restaurant which consistently provides a very relaxed atmosphere, diverse wine listing along with well prepared food. Our waitress just added to making this a memorable evening for us being attentive, helpful with great sense of humour. We’ve recommended Plateau to our friends and we’ll certainly be back next year. Thanks you!
great food, in a very good atmosphere. thoroughly enjoyed our evening out
A fantastic evening! Wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful wine, knowledgable and friendly staff and fabulous food. We will be coming back for sure!
Excellent food lovely staff and were happy to after for dietary requirements
Great place Thoroughly recommend this place!
Great little place, cool atmosphere. Food was fantastic with the depth of flavour amazing. So good going with a group meaning we all got to try so many different dishes and every one a winner.
Unfortunately the mushrooms I had in the polenta dish were gritty and not washed properly. I didn’t actually receive an apology just some excuses. We did get a glass of delicious dessert wine and a dessert on the house unfortunately there was no gluten free dessert available and therefore I was served fruit covered in sugar syrup was just wasn’t nice at all. Not sure if I’ll be returning as my first visit we encountered similar problems.
All the food we ate with you was delicious and the staff on the night were lovely. However, after eating here both my girlfriend and myself were unwell and had symptoms of food poisoning. We bought this to your attention in a phone call and then an email which you requested. Which has been ignored
Great food and service.
I have thought about our meal with you as part of October Best and start with hearing so so many great things and due to having a baby deciding to hold off since last year. we arrived and ordered and ate...for one reason or another it just didn't cut the mustard to other small plate restaurants locally. The starter I won't comment on, the main with steak I enjoyed however glad I didn't pay £16 for it however the mocktails and cake for dessert were great. The staff were also great however unfortunately I think we will continue with Petit Pois or Limetree Kitchen in Lewes for small plates in future. Kind Regards
Good food, excellent wine list. What more would you want from a restaurant?
Really enjoyed our visit. Was particularly impressed with how the chef accommodated my husband's dairy allergy. He hasn't enjoyed a meal that much in so long and it was much appreciated!
the nature wine was a hit! really enjoyed that!
The food was brilliant... again. We love it here!
I booked a table to celebrate an anniversary so I was hoping for something special...When I booked, I asked for the October Best menu which was 3 courses and a glass of wine. Only when we arrived we were told that the glass of wine was for lunch time diners. Disappointed, we decided we would like to buy a bottle and we stated that we did not want to spend any more than £30 on it. The waiter understood this and gave us two wine tasters before we decided on a bottle. The food was basic and unexciting. For mains my parner had the steak which was just meat with mustard and potatoes. I had the only vegetarian main dish of “wet polenta” which was very bland and, as you can imagine from the description, not all that inviting. When the bill arrived, the wine turned out to be £36 for the bottle!! And to top it off, we weren’t acknowledge by the staff when we were leaving the restaurant. What I had hoped would be a lovely evening turned out to be truely awful and I will be telling my friends not to waste their money here.
Great food, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. Ran out of wine - we had one bottle and then had to order a different one.
