Set up in a restored pavillon inside Tanner street park, we served delicious breakfast including croque monsieur & omelette. For lunch & dinner, come and enjoy some rustic & comforting food, our main speciality being the poulet de Bresse.
Great service, informed staff, good food, happy atmosphere. Looking forward to returning.
Service could be snappier. We were waiting for quite a bit at the beginning. Disappointed that the tasting menu featured foie gras and consummé featuring such things as chicken hearts and sweetbreads which might appeal to French people but not British. Certainly not me and two others in my party of four.
Amazing all round. The one thing the entire table said was it would be good to have some cheaper wine choices as you don’t always want or indeed need to pay that much.
Great sister restaurant with casse croute, food is Absolutely fantastic, delicious, interior is like a rustic country house but with modern pantry style sittings. the restaurant sits within a park and maybe worth some instructions to highlight that
The chicken tasting menu was delicious, inventive and beautifully served. Never again will I condemn chicken as being 'boring'. Service was superb - attentive but never pushy, informative without being pompous. A gem of a place hidden away in a park, highly recommended.
Pique-Nique is a charming, unexpected place tucked away in the corner of a park close to Bermondsey Street. It is very serious about the food it serves, mainly dedicated to the poulet de Bresse and associated specialities. The dishes we had were delcious and the service excellent. We will return.
The meal was delicious. The pineapple soufflé was especially nice. The service was very efficient and friendly. A delightful evening.
Excellent food and beautiful use of a great space with a comfortable atmosphere.
To the manager We ate in the restaurant last evening. I took my boss and her partner for dinner as I had been there 3 times before and loved it. We ordered our meal and when it eventually came two out of the 4 orders of our main course were wrong We didn’t want to take it away and start cooking all again so we accepted a meal we hadn’t ordered Your waitress was very apologetic and did take off two meals from the bill. However this spoilt our evening and also our friends were very disappointed and wont be back again Can you clarify for me what actually happened? Our table was in my name and for 4 people at 8 o’clock Thanks Steve Steve Jamieson Chief Executive PA Natasha Smith email [email protected] The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists/The College of Podiatry Quartz House, 207 Providence Square, Mill Street, London, SE1 2EW Direct Tel: 0207 234 8630 Switchboard: 0207 234 8620 www.scpod.org cid:[email protected] cid:[email protected] The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists: a company limited by guarantee. Fantastic ambiance and gorgeous food. Highly recommend!
Though I will be very sad the day you replace the cauliflower on the menu, I know whatever new item takes it 's spot will also be worth trying, so look forward to coming back and tasting ;) Great vibe and service as always, and the wine recommendations are always parfait.
Idiosyncratic, delightfully relaxed, intimate (but not intimate) place serving deliciously cooked food. What more could you want from a local restaurant?
We were disappointed overall..my husband ordered anchovies with the promise that they were fresh...they weren't, they were tinned...then his steak came with "gaufrette potatoes" which are basically, crisps...not tasty at all and a total cop-out in terms of cooking...we watched the chefs at work, handling the food, then using a mobile phone, and handling more food...not impressed by the hygiene....very disappointing...we won't be back.
Fantastic evening - great dining experience
Had a very enjoyable lunch - lamb sweetbread and mushroom vol-au-vent followed by the Entrecote, and a chocolate thing for dessert. Service excellent. Would suggest some fromage available on the menu too. But otherwise nearly perfect. Thanks.
Everything was amazing apart from the 2 hour time slot...
Great staff..very friendly.. adventurous 6 course menu..all parts of a chicken! Soufle dessert was delicious.
Excellent food as usual & fabulous staff
Awesome food. Can’t wait to go back.
Excellent night - lived up to high expectations. Great food and wine. Nice atmosphere (buzzy but not too loud or too quiet). Will definitely go back.

A very enjoyable experience, with the minor exception of being told upon arrival that I had booked a counter space when I thought I had booked a table. All was sorted though. Apparently the booking system is new, but if there was any doubt surely a phone call could have clarified? Service amazing and food really good.
Best dinner out in London in a long time! Very good service. Chicken menu highly recommended.
Food and drink was all excellent with great recommendations on wine. We were first group in the restaurant so atmosphere wasn’t special to start with but picked up as the venue filled. Quite pricey but as long that’s what you expect then quality justifies the cost.
