About Pier House Bistro
A fantastically placed bistro right on the seafront benefiting from panoramic views of the Snowdon mountain range. Renowned for its Gin & Tonic battered fish and chips and local seafood produce.
Really expensive. £40 for breakfast (2 adults and 1 child). My daughter’s breakfast cost £12 for bacon, sausage, beans and toast. All items were charged individually. I wish I had raised it at the time but had to rush to meet somebody.
It was incredibly noisy sitting right next to the coffee machine, and on the odd occasion that the machine wasn’t in use, the rather surly girl in charge (presumably) would be snapping at the staff to do things. noisily sorting a bucket of cutlery on the table next to us seemed to be a favourite task (I’ve always worked in restaurants where tasks like this weren’t done directly next to diners because it is so noisy) It certainly wasn’t a relaxing meal, and we were completely unable to have a conversation as a family the whole time we were there. social distancing effort’s were pointless with all the staff gathering at the counter 3-5 staff at a time right behind our chairs, and one way system rarely enforced by staff. Food was frustrating - the children’s meals arrived incorrect, so they ate very little, and the drinks that were part of their meal never arrived. I had the Cajun salmon which was lovely - cooked beautifully and tasted great, but sadly spoiled by the Icy cold mixed bean cous cous (which is foolishly assumed would be hot with the hot salmon - I would suggest this may be nicer if it were cooked fresh/warm, but guess that’s just personal preference). Luckily Pier House was our only disappointing meal in our 10 days on Anglesey, and there are many other lovely establishments to revisit instead
Enjoyable breakfast. Nice coffee. Great location.
We had a lovely Valentines meal at Pier House Bistro. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. We didn't feel rushed and the atmosphere was just right so you could talk but there was music in the background. We will definitely return.
Consistently good food at a good price. Service can be a little wobbly - maybe because we rarely see the same staff from one visit to the next!
Lovely Christmas meal. Excellent value.
Very good service excellent food & excellent staff. I am coeliac and was catered for very well.
Pleasant and nice Deffo will be back as been before as a birthday celebration But lovely lunch
Lovely food. Great views.
I Booked a table for 12:30pm arrived on time to find they hadn’t reserved a table for me, there was three of us to seat. So after moving around 3 times to find a table for us we finally had lunch. I will return as I think they do a excellent meal.
Great Restaurant, have previously only visited for breakfast which is always good, so decided to have an evening meal and it was a great choice. Fab food and great service from Nina.
Very pleasant service
Nice welcoming service, food cooked brilliantly and good portions.
Great setting and food as good as always. Never lets you down ,service with a smile and the quality and portion size means its superb value .
Lovely food and drinks in the sunshine and good knowledge from the waiter on allergens.
Best Beef dinner ive had! Pudding was amazing too!
You have a new manager, he is IMO excellent ! Very attentive, goes above and beyond. Menu has been the same for a while, this could do with a shake up I think.
Fabulous brunch with a view
We had a really enjoyable meal here after graduation day at Bangor University, Very friendly and great food. Thank you to all.
We had a lovely meal with fabulous service in beautiful surroundings. A perfect way to celebrate birthdays with friends. Thank you, we're looking forward to planning another visit.
A really enjoyable new year's eve meal, nicely dressed table, perfect ambiance , excellent food and wine - and good value. Chris Gunning
THANKS TO KAYLEY AND ALL AT PHB FOR MAKING ONE OF MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND NIGHTS VERY EASY AND PLEASANT. FOOD WAS GREAT, STAFF WERE LOVELY AND COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL. IN FACT PHB FIGURED VERY LARGELY ALL WEEKEND - TOP PLACE :) !!!
Food not particularly impressive for the price (steak and salmon in particular), drinks not great value either. Our steak was ordered with extra prawns and chips, they didn't arrive. We had to ask a few times before we got them. Overall a reasonable meal, but for £160.00 for 4 and a child...You can do a lot better elsewhere.
Good food and drink served by friendly, efficient staff......
We booked early and so had the best table in the room! How kind! Our meals were delicious and the waitresses were delightful, knowledgeable and fun! What a situation right on the front overlooking the bay - perfect.
