About Pier Eight at The Lowry
Pier Eight is The Lowry’s stylish restaurant and bar, overlooking the stunning waterside setting of Salford Quays and MediaCityUK.
Serving fresh, British flavours and seasonal ingredients, it is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch, pre-show meal or a special occasion. If you’re looking for a more casual dining experience, we also offer a full bar menu in the Pier Eight Bar.
"My ethos on cooking has always been about sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients from the great suppliers on our doorstep across Lancashire and Cheshire. The menu focuses on simple dishes and flavour pairings, using ingredients and produce that shine in their own right."

Great food, tentative staff, good location
Very good food and really efficient pre theatre service
First class food and the staff were amazing
Food was delicious. Of course, food and drinks particularly could be cheaper. Very well treated by service staff. A wonderful pre-theatre time was had.
Had a lovely meal here with my mum. The restaurant was very quiet which affected the atmosphere but think it was the time of year (end of January). Will dine here again in the future and would recommend.
Food was excellent and well presented. Service was very good and very efficient. Will visit again.
This is the second time we have dined at Pier 8. I have given the whole experience 5 stars because I could not fault anything. The staff are really friendly and attentive , the atmosphere helps you to relax and food is excellent. Its nice to find a Restaurant that makes you want to come back.
All 10 of us agreed it was an excellent meal.
Always feels dear. Prepaid courses, but too many add-ons. Desserts appear over-fussy.
Wonderful pre-show dining. Super food and excellent service.
we all really enjoyed our food and our waitress was excellent
Very good food, pleasant service, very convenient for theatre.
Excellent start to an evening.
Cheesecake could’ve had a different topping.
We had a lovely birthday meal before a tremendous show - the staff were most helpful and looked after us very well
Good food, good service and good atmosphere. A really lovely restaurant in a beautiful location
My wife and I eat regularly at Pier Eight when we go to a show at the Lowry. We have always found it a very enjoyable experience, good attentive service, good food and pleasant atmosphere.
Five of us dined last night, and sat by a window which was rather cold. Our charmingly efficient waitress willingly re-seated us and dealt with our orders helpfully and promptly. The food looked very appealing, tasted delicious but fish was a little dry. Had our desserts at the interval. An excellent evening! Thank you to all the staff.
This is a repeat booking for me. I absolutely love Pier Eight. I had my baby shower here and always enjoy coming with family and friends, particularly for afternoon tea. However when my friend was over from Australia last weekend, I boomed here as a treat and the service was a little bit slacking. We were shown to our seat and then it was about 15 minutes before we got a drink and that's because we had to ask for it! The staff seemed more concerned with setting up the tables than looking after us. It was a disappointing. On the whole though, The food was delicious as usual and we had a lovely afternoon tea
Very cold. Don’t enjoy eating with a coat and scarf on!
Service was excellent. Friendly yet unobtrusive staff. Starter a bit cold on a cold plate. Tasted delicious as did the main. Met gluten free dietary needs well.
staff were great
Efficient & friendly service .limited menu but food well cooked & presented .nice views but a bit chilly due to cold weather & lots of windows . Generally very enjoyable however
Excellent food in a fantastic setting, we thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
Really tasty food and served quickly to allow for us to get to the show. Would definitely use again.
