About Pier Eight at The Lowry

Serving fresh, British flavours and seasonal ingredients, it is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch, pre-show meal or a special occasion. If you’re looking for a more casual dining experience, we also offer a full bar menu in the Pier Eight Bar.
"My ethos on cooking has always been about sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients from the great suppliers on our doorstep across Lancashire and Cheshire. The menu focuses on simple dishes and flavour pairings, using ingredients and produce that shine in their own right."

Awesome food and service!
Of the 3 of us the two ladies enjoyed the meal but the man was disappointed with the quantity esp. veg. For what he had (few sprout leaves instead of a serving of sprouts) it was poor value for money. The ganache dessert was also disappointing, too hard and solid. Otherwise flavours good also service.Ideal before theatre show though expensive for what we had.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Food lovely and drinks not too expensive.
Excellent evening with excellent food and service , really is five stars
Good food and service.....disappointed with the 10% surcharge that goes towards feeding the staff - seen as we ordered ????
Excellent meal, the Cherry Baba was exquisite, a wonderful combination of tastes. Thank you
Had forgotten to book so asked for help and it was given they bent over backwards to accommodate us. The restaurant was full but the service and attention was superb. Always love eating here
Really good food and the service was friendly and efficient
Great 2 hours well run event great singer
Whole experience was excellent food was amazing and staff were happy to serve you very professional and friendly. Restaurant was very comfortable we will be back and will definitely give good feed back to our friend to go and try .
Only visited the Bar for Rum n Chocolate tasting and Gin n Jazz which were both really enjoyable. Cannot comment on the Restaurant food, service or atmosphere but had to give a star rating to complete feedback.
Staff on telephone and in person are pleasant and welcoming. Restaurant is attractive and ‘buzzy’: the menu is well thought out and the food beautifully cooked and thoughtfully presented. It was our 4th visit and we’ll definitely be back . Thankyou.
Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon enjoying the gin and jazz session
I thought too many tables were crammed in. There was literally no space in between. It was a shame because the food and service was fab.
Most of us ordered the aubergine tagine with gnocchi... however, we found that it had a very smokey bbq flavour. It was still enjoyable, but I really think you should mention the ‘smokey’ flavour in the description on the menu... a couple of our group would definitely have gone for another main course, had they realised. We did mention it to the waitress, who said she would tell the chef. The starters were great and the cheesecake was delicious! We will definitely be back... thanks.
An excellent addition to buying theatre tickets. Very friendly staff . Excellent and well presented food. Superb value for money
A very lovely evening
We came to the "Gin and Jazz" event. A lovely afternoon with a relaxed atmosphere.
A very pleasant way to start an evening at the theatre. Food was good, very well presented. Service was also good, very attentive but not intrusive. Only downside was from a table of fellow diners who did their best to embarass the wine waiter by disputing the veracity of the description of the wine on the wine list.
More vegetarian/vegan options would have been welcome
Keenan looked after us and provided excellent friendly and efficient service . All the staff were welcoming and friendly . Good food and wine. Convenient for the ballet .
Excellent waiter who was very professional and extremely polite. A pleasure to be looked after so well.
Had the trout to start and found it ok, but very bland, the potato salad was dull to be honest. It really could have used some capers or dill and something to give it some flavour. Main of cod was nice, but just did not think that the food delivered on flavour. Booked purely for convenience as going to Russel Watson concert at Lowry. Would not book again to be honest.
Our dining experience was excellent, particularly the customer service and it's perfect for pre-theatre dining. Only 4 stars for food because it was very good indeed but I would reserve 5 stars for top-end fine dining.
Absolutely stunning; food amazing rabbit terrine starter as good as any Michelin star restaurant. Our waiter was really knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Really impressed with whole evening and have already recommended to family and friends.
