Serving fresh, British flavours and seasonal ingredients, it is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch, pre-show meal or a special occasion. If you’re looking for a more casual dining experience, we also offer a full bar menu in the Pier Eight Bar.
"My ethos on cooking has always been about sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients from the great suppliers on our doorstep across Lancashire and Cheshire. The menu focuses on simple dishes and flavour pairings, using ingredients and produce that shine in their own right."

Booking system was efficient, staff lovely. I paid the extra £4 for the lamb which came as an extremely small meal and was barely warm. Desert was delicious, so really mixed feelings.
Perfect meal and location for pre theatre.
Food was fantastic
Most enjoyable experience
Relaxed atmosphere lovely view good food and service.
Lovely food in a great setting. Very relaxing before the show
Delicious meal, lovely light interior with well spaced tables and stunning view. Friendly, effic service. Will definitely book again!
Quite disappointing main. Waiter made a point of asking if I preferred lamb pink or well done. I replied pink, only to be served with totally overdone lamb (not even the slightest trace of pink). We were on a pre-theatre menu, with limited choice, so the least they could have done was to actually serve the limited number of items to specification. To make things worse, the lamb had a supplementary charge. Restaurant was less than half full, so no excuse there. Must try harder!
Amazing food and service. Would defiantly recommend a most enjoyable experience. Many thanks
Dined many times. Food has never disappointed and the service is always spot on.
Overall our experience was excellent but we were disappointed with the high price of the drinks. I suppose that's what we have to expect in a top theatre in Manchester. Everything else was really good.
Fantastic night staff were warm and welcoming and the food was excellent
The food at Pier Eight is divine.
We had a wonderful lunch at Pier Eight on Saturday. Both the food and drink menus were exciting and the food was delicious with portions just the right size. The surroundings were very relaxed and comfortable. The service was welcoming, friendly and we were neither rushed nor left waiting for anything. We felt it was very good value for money and will definitely be back.
Very friendly staff. Although very busy we were not hurried
Excellent venue, good food and ambience prior to enjoying a show .
Really enjoyed the experience and it's right next to the theatre. Thanks
First time here. Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
Loads of food with the afternoon tea, great atttentive service.
Very good food and service for the price would go again.
Not a huge menu but been a couple of times pre theatre and the food is excellent - I would rather choose between a few very good meals than a lot of mediocre ones. Great that you can order drinks and desert for the interval
Great meal and beautifully presented
Absolutely delicious. Staff efficient, helpful and pleasant.
Excellent experience, a ore theatre meal adds huge value to a theatrical evening
