About Pier Eight at The Lowry
Pier Eight is The Lowry’s stylish restaurant and bar, overlooking the stunning waterside setting of Salford Quays and MediaCityUK.
Serving fresh, British flavours and seasonal ingredients, it is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch, pre-show meal or a special occasion. If you’re looking for a more casual dining experience, we also offer a full bar menu in the Pier Eight Bar.
"My ethos on cooking has always been about sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients from the great suppliers on our doorstep across Lancashire and Cheshire. The menu focuses on simple dishes and flavour pairings, using ingredients and produce that shine in their own right."
Oliver Thomas, Executive Head Chef

A very enjoyable experience.
We enjoyed the 2 Course meal for £23. I was disappointed with the choice of main course, there were not enough options for me. I ordered Cod, it was beautifully cooked and presented. Everyone was happy with their meals. I would not hesitate to go again. Thank you for a very good experience attended by a lovely Waitress who served us well.
Lovely meal brilliant staff
We visit the Lowry a lot but never booked Pier Eight before for various reasons. We had a lovely meal, great service and gorgeous food at a reasonable price. We will certainly be booking again.
Try the prawn cocktail so different and tasty. We really enjoyed.
Really enjoyable afternoon tea in an excellent location. Perfect pre-theatre experience.
Tasty food, excellent service and enjoyed watching the boats pass by.
Excellent service, very convenient and very good food Thanks
Have eaten here a number of times and keep coming back. Lovely to make a night of it with a show.
Thank Keenan for making our evening.
first time but will go again no fault at all with staff and food excellent for the theatre
Excellent friendly service coupled with high quality food. Never fails to please.
We had a truly fantastic experience when we dined at Pier Eight on Thursday 1st August, The food was fantastic and the service from our waiter (I wish I could remember his name) was absolutely outstanding. It was our first visit to Pier Eight and will definately not be our last.
Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food.
Superb service last night by our waiter, he displayed great memory skills and looked after us extremely well. Sorry I cannot remember the young man's name.
Your website booking was really clunky - maybe it was having a moment, but it crashed probably four times on me whilst I made my reservation
Wonderful food and fabulous service, would highly recommend especially if you have a theatre booking. We will definitely book again.
Fantastic venue and food. service exceptional thanks Keenan . Had the pre show VIP package and everything was more than my expectations .well done pier 8 and well done all the staff.cant wait to come back . Went to a top restaurant In Manchester Lanier that night although good it wasn’t as good as pier 8.
A bit more variety on the menu would be welcome.
Very noisy in restaurant as little barrier between it and the open bar area.
Have dined previously, for pre show meal, would be nice for more choice of menu a little limited, other wise standard of service and food good as usual
Excellent service from moment we arrived. Excellent food and great value.
Great food and service once again at Pier 8 before the show.
Under seasoned food which looked very pretty but had no depth on the palette. Unfortunately undercooked fish was served but was quickly replaced and taken off final bill
