Bit pricey but nice to be able to return to table at the interval - however, coffee lukewarm when got to table. Ordered roast potatoes as a side dish and got boiled new potatoes and waiter said they were roast new potatoes!!! In general good quality meal with imaginative deserts.
Wonderful staff, great service and food.
Loved that our drinks were served to our table in the interval
Limited number of tables with a view over the river was main disappointment.
Set menu choices were rather limited, but everyone really enjoyed what they had. On most menus, usually struggle to decide which (of several) starters to choose. Nothing took any of our groups’ fancy (which is unusual). Mains and desserts were delicious. Had to hunt for staff to be able to pay the bill, and were running short of time before the start of the show.
Lovely food but pricey for what it was. Service slow.
quick service, friendly staff, nice food
We ate before seeing show. Cannot fault food excellent value for money. Service was spot on would definately book again.
Good pre theatre menu, nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient service.
Food quality was excellent. We booked for 5.45pm and the food came at the right speed to time with the 7.30pm show, we managed 3 courses with coffee.
My friend and I had a lovely meal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. We particularly liked the option of having coffee during the theatre performance interval. It's an ideal venue for a lovely meal whether you are attending the theatre or not. We would hope to make a return visit in the not too distant future
Food was superb, the lamb was particularly excellent. The service was attentive without being too much. Fine dining without the fine dining price tag.
Pier Eight is a restaurant that one would wish to re-visit and recommend to one's friends.
Great place to eat before the show. Excellent service, lovely food.
Overpriced for what you get.- £55 for two courses and a bottle of water is a bit much when one has already spent money ontheatre tickets. Suppose it’s because you have a captive audience. Also, had to ask a passing waiter to take our order after a 15 minute wait.
Pre theatre dinner very good
Thank you fitting us in at short notice. Everything superb, service flow kitchen to front of house seamless. Food fabulous a very pleasing experience Thank You All
We were a group of 4 who enjoyed excellent service and a delicious meal before the theatre. Fortunately we had reserved a table because the restaurant was full! A thoroughly enjoyable experience - definitely recommended!
Wonderful meal, second to none service and lovely location! Thank you Pier 8
The service was lovely, the food was nice, we came back in January and the menu hadn’t changed too much which was a bit disappointing.
A delicious pre-show meal in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service was a great start to a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely food as always , service was very good
The food was fabulous, as was the service. As far as the atmosphere was concerned, it was very friendly and classy at the same time. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
Excellent for a pre-theatre meal, unequalled in the area.
The staff were delightful. The food was good, but not exceptional. I found my cod under-seasoned and slightly over-cooked, but my goats cheese starter was delicious. We are big foodies and are probably more critical than your average customer. The staff were delightful and we would be happy to eat here again.
