About Pieminister Escape Rooms
SOLVE MIND-BENDING RIDDLES & CRYPTIC PUZZLES AGAINST THE CLOCK. WILL YOU ESCAPE BEFORE YOUR TIME IS UP?
Great idea to have escape room with the option to eat before/after. Thoroughly enjoyed it, will be back to do the other room.
Booked in for the escape rooms and a meal and it was all great! We have done a lot escapes rooms all over the UK and thought this was very well thought out 😊
Great day, escape room was fun and not too hard and food was delicious.
We booked the Pie, a side and escape room deal (offered at the Nottingham Restaurant). As a party of four, we arrived about 15 minutes ahead of our booked time, as requested, and were welcomed in with a genuine, friendly greeting from a team member. We were shown to and took a seat in a vacant booth while we waited for our escape room briefing. Taking in the decor and ambience of the dining area, we all commented on how nicely the place was 'decked out'; a contemporary mix of dark wood (especially the feature ceiling/wall toward the front of the restaurant), tarnished steel, the right amount of neon signage and a huge hand painted wall piece with the word 'pies' featured in a faux-aged finish. Our host was was funny, charming, knowledgeable and pitched her escape room briefing perfectly to us, her audience. Our themed room was well thought out and well dressed, there were even accessories to dress up in if you really want to get into the role! The monitoring and remote support for players who get stuck on a clue is just right; not intrusive and just enough of a hint. Two of our party are vegan and two, non-vegan. All of the pies and sides that we ordered were very well received. Pieminister offer what is, on the face of it, good, honest food (what's better than pie, mash and peas?) but it's executed to such a high culinary standard with some very well considered ingredient combinations that the food goes way beyond any notion of just being 'standard pub fair'. In summary, our entire visit met and exceeded our expectations and added to our already high collective opinion of Pieminister Nottingham.
Enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to others.
Had a fab night in the escape room really enjoyed it . Staff polite and helpful .
We didn't eat so I haven't reviewed the food! We did the germageddon escape room, and loved it. First time we've ever done an escape room, so we don't have anything to compare to, but we had a brilliant time. It was challenging and fun, "Sky control" was really good both at setting the scene and whilst we were in the rooms and for debrief. Thank you!
The guy who showed us around was amazing! Lovely guy.
Enjoyed escape room and pie. We did the demon barber experience, don’t be put off by the scary star rating as it wasn’t scary at all. Wasn’t too difficult good for a first time escape room experience.
We just did the escape room which was great value for money. However the drinks were expensive £7 for two cokes is extortionate.
Food is amazing, would highly recommend. However service let it down, all waiters/waitresses seemed like they didn’t want to be there and whatever you asked was too much trouble, even when asking for the bill to pay them! The atmosphere in the restaurant was great but you could hear it all in the escape rooms so any sense of fear or suspense was ruined by Ariana Grande playing. I would definitely visit again for food but not for the escape room, it was quite expensive for 3 tiny rooms.
Food is great, the demon barber escape room concept too. However, overall it wasn't very challenging and falls short of the expectation. Given the vast competition in the market in Nottingham for escape rooms, the designers of the room need to up their game as it doesn't fair well against it's competitors.
Only did the Sweeney Todd escape room, didn’t eat here. We escaped as a duo in just over 35 minutes and was easier than others on offer but still required a good amount of brain power. If there were a few more puzzles on offer then this could stretch some teams, although rooms are small, so best tackled in a small group.
Can't rate food as only did the escape room. But it was excellent.
Escape rooms were great other than the pop music from the restaurant ruined the atmosphere a little
Had a fun night but I do think £18 each is a bit expensive. I think a price per room would be better.
Came for the Escape room. Fantastic! Ate after and the food was good (:
Escape Room was an added bonus!
The escape room was fun, although we had to wait because they were running behind the experience of this part was generally quite good. The girl who lead this part was very good. The food was quite nice, all our group enjoyed the pies. Sadly, the attitude of the floor staff was awful. They were clearly under pressure as we were told they had 3 people call in sick on that day, this was made to feel our fault and no apology was made for waiting times.... in fact, we felt ignored for quite some time before having to ask if we can order. When it came to paying we faced further frustration with the staff team who were unwilling to work out how much of the remaining bill, following a cash payment, would be required on card. I was then told I had to work it out and tell her how much I wanted to pay. Seemingly there was only one sensible team member working the floor that day who finally came to help out after the first two made it clear our custom wasn't valued. This could have easily been turned into good service from bad service with little effort. I'd recommend the staff undergo training in working with the public and remember that customers should be afforded politeness and respect if nothing else.
We really enjoyed doing the Sweeney Todd themed escape room and the food afterwards was brilliant. The welcome we received was excellent along with the continued customer service after we did the room and during our dinner. We did have a problem whilst in the escape room where the screens did not work so no timer or ability to get any clues. We were told that we could be contacted about doing the other room for free because of this. I really hope this offer still stands as it made the perfect date. If so my email is [email protected], I did leave it with the manager on the day. Thanks!
A group of 7 of us booked the two escape rooms and a meal. We did the rooms 4 and 3; I was in the three in Germaggedon. We needed a couple of hints, but found the room really enjoyable. The others loved the other escape room. The food was also delicious, enough for us to book our Christmas meal there on the day!
Myself and Girlfriend booked the Sweeney Todd escape room for Friday 17th August. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were looked after by the very happy and polite staff. The lady who run the escape room was superb with us and made us feel welcome. She was a joy to deal with - the escape room itself surpassed all expectations. It was amazing and cleverly set up. So much so that we will be booking for the other Room (Germination) and I have already recommended the place to others, one of whom is booking for him and 3 friends. As it was my partners birthday there was a small cake and candle waiting when we got out of the escape room. Little things like this meant a lot. I cannot praise the staff enough. Thanks again.
We arrived there and was given a seat but no service was provided on asking if we wanted any drinks or food. Then our escape room was at 2pm but was delayed by 40mins and no complementary drink was offered so we paid for that. Then people came out of the room when we was meant to be in there so the times of people’s booking was not organised properly. But the escape room it’s self was very good fun.
The riddles/puzzles were really good but in comparison to other escape rooms there wasn't enough of them.
Really enjoyable evening of an escape room followed by a pie
