About Pieminister Bristol Broad Quay
Award-winning pies and soft serve sundaes in laid-back surroundings with great music and a well-stocked bar: pie and ice cream feasting doesn’t get better than this.
Brilliant... definitely coming back
The background music was very loud. A little less volume would be nice so you can have a conversation. The 2 for 1 cocktails were nice but we couldn't taste the alcohol (we had the gin one with ginger beer).
We had the most brilliant office Christmas lunch at Pieminister Broad Quay. The venue was spotless and cosy. The team was welcoming, friendly and ran like a well-oiled machine. Despite the fact that we were a party of 36 people, they managed to turn out piping hot, delicious food at the speed of light, and somehow all at the same time. Very grateful to Josh and the team for their serene good humour and consummate professionalism at the busiest time of the year. Everybody in our party said how lovely the pies and trimmings were (plus sticky toffee pudding TO DIE FOR) and what a great time they'd had. Highly recommended.
Good food and helpful staff.
No peas No jerk patties When is everything going to be on menu always seems things are missing
The service was quite slow but appreciate we were a large party and it was a quiet day with less staff than usual. One of my friends had a piece of plastic in his pie however this was dealt with efficiently and quickly
We booked a table for 6. 45 pm we received the mail in the afternoon to confirm our booking ... So, big desapointed when we arrive the restaurant was closed .. chairs on the table, a woman was cleaning ... We was not informed ... bad experience, not very serious
food fairly good although the amount of mash was miniscule - well hidden under the pie. Came with a separate jug of gravy - a strange idea. I had to go and find the waitress to take our order, usually they are more proactive than that. We were placed at the back of the room under hot lights and near very loud music and the toilet. Almost too dark to see the menu or our food. I was looking forward to our visit but wouldn't visit this particular restaurant again.
Loved it! The pies were amazing - so tasty!
Excellent food great value for money
All the staff were super lovely, even when I changed my order last minute! Food came out quickly and was delicious - very good value for money. Even the music was great which was a huge bonus. Will definitely be back - thank you, guys!
Second visit to the Broad Quay branch and I was really disappointed this time around. The pie and gravy lacked seasoning, the fries were very hard and greasy. We were not asked how our food was during our meal. The wrong dish was made for one of us and when the right food was given it had a long black hair in it. We mentioned this when paying and that item was taken off the bill. However, there was also a hair in my food. We informed the waiting staff of this after we’d paid. Really disappointed, I would not visit again.
Food was great, staff were friendly, good location but service was unfortunately slow, it wasn’t busy, staff standing around and not clearing our table. Saying that as the food was good, we would be likely to return
A Big Thank You Pieminister we had a great evening.
Food was very good but the service is always a bit slow, maybe something you could look at but still want it to be cooked fresh and yummy as usual
V loud music for a lunchtime. FAB food but long wait for drinks and when trying to pay, it wasn’t overly busy and staff leaning on bar chatting whilst we hung around waving a credit card.
The service was terrible, they did not check the bookings and just put anyone anywhere, if they got full which at one point they did the bookings went out the window because they clearly weren’t allocating them. The service was shocking, we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come up and take our order and when she came over she did not even say hello or explain how the ordering works or what the meal includes, she didn’t repeat our order back to us and she also did not give me a chance to order any sides as she took the menus away straight away. The food was decent it was just the service that let us down unfortunately, we had to wait another 15-20 mins to get the bill also.
Lovely food and friendly service.
Had a Christmas meal with old uni friends. Every single one of us loved this place! Amazing food! Service Was brilliant. We didn’t wait too long between courses. Only thing I could say was they ran out of the Christmas venison pie at 8pm, which was sad but the turkey pie was still fab!
We all had a great time, thank you so much. Drinks menu could do with some much needed love though.
Unfortunately our experience wasn't as good as we were expecting. - Had to ask to order drinks when we sat down, not asked by staff. - Had to get our own cutlery after asking and it not being provided. - Food was sat waiting on the hot plate whilst staff were stood around talking to each other for long periods (wasn't busy at 12:30pm). - Food came out wrong. EG, pigs were missing their blankets, no crackling as advertised and the worst part was the vegan pie coming out with a pig in blanket on it! - Some hot puddings came out cold. - Not being charged correctly for food or drink. - Real lack of attentiveness from the staff, leading to waiting until after starters for some drinks to be provided. Not exactly the type of service and standards that are expected, especially when it ruins the experience of what is meant to be a good time out for a Christmas meal. We paid the service charge (automatically added to the bill) but in hindsight the service was not worth it, so wish we never paid it. Overall we wouldn't recommend coming to Pieminister again unless there are serious improvements with staff.
Only one tea bag in shared tea pot but I asked for another one. Couple of xmas pies out of stock
As always Pieminister delivers for all omnivores, veggies and vegans
Easy online booking. Swift and friendly service for a lunchtime meet up with some old colleagues. I went for the FreerRanger instead of my usual chicken of Aragon and was not disappointed, delicious. All the food was to the usual high standard, would highly recommend.
