About Pieminister Bristol Broad Quay
Trying one of our pies is a must when you’re in our hometown of Bristol. This is our third restaurant to open here and as well as our famous Classic pies we’ve got an Open Top pie range plus our hearty hot pots and fresh salads. If you can, arrive early for a pre-pie drink. The cocktail menu offers a range of Classics, Sours, Tankards and Specials (2 for 1 before 6.30pm and after 9.30pm every day).
To finish, we have a range of Ice Cream Pies; Rhubarb and Custard, Toffee Apple, Lemon Meringue and Glastonbury Mud. Lavishly good, you’ll definitely want to leave a little space for one.
Great food and service.
Good overall. The new veggie patties are similar in taste and spice level. The hallouminiti fries are superb however :)
Great food and good value.
First time at the Pieministe to treat my dad, uncle and grandad to a Fathers Day Lunch. Would definitely recommend. Food was very yummy, we were all impressed. The only reason for my 4 stars for atmosphere, was the music was far too loud. We struggled to hear each other talk, definitely needed to be slightly quieter.
Always a winner. I’ll return and return and then return again. And probably a bunch more times Food is incredible and the prices are spot on
It was really busy and some staff had not turned up for work so others were having to cover. They did a great job and we will be back.
Booked online for birthday. Communication good. On the day staff were good, food lovely, enjoyed it!
Great food, would definitely return!
Prompt service and tasty food.
Staff were oblivious. Even though it was quiet they were more concerned with clearing tables tgan taking orders. Dedpite pre-ordering all meals tefood came out one by one after nearly an hour wait. We asked for the bil and 15 mis later we asked if we could pay, they just brought another copy of the bill. When we started leaving one waitress asked us to come back asking who had paid by card (we were a group of 10) and by how much. When they had identified whose card had been the problem the waitresd just waled off not explainig the problem to us. I had to call over to ask if it was ok to leave, she passively flapped her hand at us. The whole experience demonstrated some of the worst customer service i had ever seen. Furthermore, the food was quite laclustre. The 'slaw' was basically raw cabbage in a bowl with no sign of any attempt at pickling and several of my party described the 'Pie PA' as tastless. My previous experience of Pieminister in St Nicks Market has been excellent, but it appears you have sold out. I won't be returning.
Great range of food, including vegan and gf choices. Interesting 2 for 1 cocktails too.
Visited 2 adults and an 11 year old. Great place. Staff really welcome and friendly. Pie was lush! My first visit to pieminster and would definitely recommend. Ps. Please could you put on the menu that the mushy peas are minted. As I wouldn’t have ordered if I knew and dislike wasting food - a very minor point!
The food was very nice but we had to wait nearly an hour for it! The staff were lovely and helpful and our drinks were taken off the bill due to the long wait for our food. We were planning on revisiting Pieminister in September with a group of five friends as we have theatre tickets booked but although the food and staff were lovely I’m not sure we will risk being late AGAIN for the theatre.
Had a great time, good food and friendly staff. If anything the staff were a little too overzealous! Will definitely come again
Since you opened, you have consistently only been able to serve fruit ciders despite having apple cider on the menu at all times and your most recent menu changes have significantly downgraded the food experience; whilst it is mainly about the pie it is not only about the pie. Service has deteriorated significantly too. On our last visit we waited 20 minutes before a drinks order was taken, your waiting staff had to be told several times what the orders were because they clearly were not listening and then seemed to forget to deliver our drinks until our meals were ready and one meal was later than the rest. Once we had finished and asked for the bill, nobody came back to take payment so we had to approach the bar to pay. As a result, when we went out for a team lunch this month, instead of booking with you, which we have done consistently for over e year, we unanimously decided to go elsewhere.
You catered extremely well for a large (rowdy) group on Tuesday evening, thank you very much.
The service was terrible, all the staff seemed confused and unorganised, we and others around us had to wait ages for everything including paying the bill. We had the bottomless brunch and we asked for more prosecco on a couple of occasions but we were ignored. The brunch pies are also not that nice, would be much better if you could have a regular pieminster pie in this deal.
Food was fantastic. Service was shocking. 2 different waiters on our table of 6. Just before food was delivered we asked for more drinks, food was delivered and it was about 10 mins from first and last item coming out. Drinks were missed off and had to ask for them 1/2 way through meal. After ordering desserts, 5 of us had ours very quickly and one waiting 5 mins while we saw it just sat on the side. As we were leaving the table to go and pay a homeless person came in and sat on the other side of our table and started eating leftovers. Unlikely to visit again on service alone.
More attention needed on maintenance: ladies toilet overflowing with sewage, large rip in fabric on booth seat. Food was great.
Excellent food, brilliant staff and service. We would highly recommend Pieminister at Broadquay, Bristol. It’s the third time we have enjoyed their pies, including last year's Christmas party on Castle Green. We will definitely be back.
It was my first visit on Friday and I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to return soon!
We were really excited to try your bottomless brunch and travelled to Bristol for the weekend for it. We were unfortunately not particularly impressed- the food was lovely but we did expect more than 3-4 drinks each in 90 minutes. In comparison to other bottomless brunches we didn’t think it was enough. We had to keep asking staff (sometimes twice) for refills and it didn’t feel particularly ‘bottomless’.
Pie selection would have been nice to have had more selection, but the pies wer still delicious
This was my first time eating anything from Pieminister and it didn't disappoint! I had the vegan Chooksaway which was honestly LUSH especially with the crispiest pastry ever! The only thing I would say would be maybe less onions in it as I had a load in mine and I'm not that keen on them but that's just my personal taste :)
Good food, nicely served. although i’m sure the moo & blue you buy in the supermarket from same chain has more blue in it. what wasn’t great was the service. the waiter started well, coming to take our order quickly, but it took at least 15 minutes after that to get the drinks (it was not busy; max four tables had guests at them). we weren’t given the drawing sheets for the kids - we were there with two - that were lying on the counter with other serving stuff; and the bench we were on had a huge rip in it and came apart when we got out, so one of the kids hurt himself on it. shame about the decor and service. we were here as a part of a visit to bristol and were really looking forward to it.
