About Pieminister Bristol Broad Quay
Trying one of our pies is a must when you’re in our hometown of Bristol. This is our third restaurant to open here and as well as our famous Classic pies we’ve got an Open Top pie range plus our hearty hot pots and fresh salads. If you can, arrive early for a pre-pie drink. The cocktail menu offers a range of Classics, Sours, Tankards and Specials (2 for 1 before 6.30pm and after 9.30pm every day).
To finish, we have a range of Ice Cream Pies; Rhubarb and Custard, Toffee Apple, Lemon Meringue and Glastonbury Mud. Lavishly good, you’ll definitely want to leave a little space for one.
Usually everything is great but on this ocasion we waited approx. 30 minutes for our food to be served. Then when we wanted to pay it took ages as no one came to us and we had to go to the service area. Not great when you're due at the theatre.
After booking days in advance, we arrived to be told to sit where we want. Did wonder that if the restaurant was full on arrival, would our table be free. Service was questionable as we waited to be seated as instructed by sign but despite staff looking at us numerous times, no welcome or help was offered. Eventually had to approach them myself to be told as above. Table service didn't happen and generally seemed unorganised. Heard several tables around us being asked for their orders despite already ordering. No communication or leadership between staff. Table was always wobbly and tightly packed into restaurant. Food arrived quickly and was great.
Great meal here as always. Our server Emily was very friendly and helpful.
Flawless food, brilliant taste and great value. Unfortunarely we were sat very near another couple even though the restaurant wasn't full. Also someone apparently misread my order so we had to wait for a long time for our food. These are small issues though, I will go again
Loved it, and amazing vegan options. More please :-)
wonderful staff, wonderful food and excellent music!
Delicious food and really friendly & fast service!
Delicious pie, friendly staff and great for a pre-theatre meal.
We came for bottomless brunch but unfortunately the only wait staff working spent so long in their phone that they weren’t very quick at refilling drinks. Our breakfast pies came without a poached egg as the chef couldn’t cook them, a little disappointing.
Sunday brunch pie deal was very very tasty. Friendly and very efficient staff.
Food delicious, music great!
Great service and friendly staff.
Food was good. My little boys mac and cheese came with peas and then a beetroot and carrot slaw which I though was a strange combo?
Great customer service, very accommodating staff! Comforting food for a reasonable price 👍🏽
Sunday lunch a fantastic addition to what you offer - really good buzz in the restaurant and, as always, efficient & friendly service. Thank you for the 241 as well :-)
I had to ring up as I could see I was going to be at least 30 mins late due to traffic on the motorway. The lady who answered the phone said that was fine and she would hold my table. Absolutely no problems at all when I arrived and service was polite and extremely fast. Food was tasty and great value for money.
I love pieminister, and I especially liked the Sunday best, it’s a great addition to your menu! However the restaurant seemed extremely short staffed, with one poor overworked staff member serving all the tables, it was so busy that our food order didn’t get taken until an hour after we sat down and when our food was ready it was left on the side for 15minutes until it was brought to our table, we were so hungry we wolfed it down. It’s not the staffs fault, the service they gave was to the best of their ability under the circumstances. It was a real shame as we brought family there for the first time as we’d told them how good the food was, but it didn’t give them a very good impression of the place.
Food was delicious! BUT Despite booking, staff had not prepared a table and had to move other customers so we could sit. Food took almost an hour to arrive. The child’s portion was incredibly measly. It would have been suitable for a toddler but had to give my 6 year old other bits and pieces off our plates so that she wasn’t hungry. A ramekin of macaroni cheese is NOT ENOUGH!
Excellent my friends and I really enjoyed our meal and the service was great
We love pieminister and we were really excited introducing our friends to your yummy pies for the first time. Unfortunately your main oven had failed which resulted in a very long wait for our meal and the pies were not piping hot coming from the smaller backup oven. I know this was unfortunate, but maybe invest in two equally as good ovens. This hasn’t put me off though I will definitely be back.
Lovely food at a fantastic price
Really weird - I came here for my reservation and asked to be seated and the guy told me he can’t help me. I laughed and thought it was just a really awkward joke. He said he’s not ready for us - I was like why not and he just said come back in an hour. Who eats brunch at 1pm?!
The staff were great, food was great (as ever). We will definitely be back, great service for a large party. Thank you xx
Had a very enjoyable evening with my colleagues and my baby daughter. A baby friendly place, friendly staff and good food :)
Food was absolutely horrendous, Inedible and extremely disappointing. The service was extremely slow, for my first visit to your restaurant along with 3 others I felt embarrassed and disappointed
