About Pickle Restaurant
Welcome to a new experience of authentic Indian food in Dublin!
Based on the cuisine of northern India, Pickle is the creation of multi-award winning chef Sunil Ghai and restaurateur Benny Jacob. In a relaxed fun space that marries Dublin with Bollywood and the foodie streets of Calcutta, diners can choose between Gupshup (small plates), Tandoori Chakhna (chops & game) and Desi Khana (curries & biryani), all tied together with traditional zingy pickle and contemporary twists on classical Indian condiments and sides. Ghai’s focus is flavour, built around the best available locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
Pickle is fabulous, a gloriously informal riot of intense flavours, vivid colours, unexpected subtleties, flashes of spicy hotness, deep and earthy tones, light and delicate dances on the tongue.
As we say in Hindi Attithi Devo Bhavo that means guest is God and we Always feed our God with pure food.
Pickle is serving pure flavours of Indian food
Lovely lunch but €10 for a glass of wine is a bit stiff.
Thank you. Service and atmosphere were the usual, very good. We were sitting near the till, a busy spot, not my favourite. Food very good as always, please accept some constructive comments. I had the ghee roast lamb which very good, up to the usual standard, accompanied by a good tawa paratha and an onion thing which was ok. Companions had nice aubergine, a little overpowered by the spices, and a good dal. We use use very little salt at home and find restaurant meals almost always a little salty for our taste, including on this occasion, but I'm not sure what you can do about that. Deserts were good though the poached pear could have been poached a bit more [or served with a sharp knife!]. Very good coffee. Overall as I say very good. We did notice an overflowing sanitary bin in one of the cubicles; not typical.
Staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive.Vegetarian thalli is amazing!
Excellent dining experience. One issue that needs to be addressed is ; having to provide credit card details including 3 digit code on booking online. I rang for my reservation after encountering it ! Shouldn’t be the case , not normal in Ireland .
Dropped in for an early bird at 5.45pm on a Monday evening before attending a concert, The place was humming with activity and happy diners. The set early evening menu offered plenty of choice and was excellent value for money. Great flavours, great buzz and a marvellous atmosphere. Look forward to returning,

Thought it was delicious. Rich, complex flavours. One of the best meals I have had in Dublin. Itching to go back
Amazing food, friendly staff who went out there way with helping find the right spice for the kids, best Indian in Dublin
Wonderful experience from beginning to end.
Absolutely amazing every time. Faultless.....
Fabulous meal again. Love your restaurant
The food was incredible, but the allergen information on your menu is not correct and MUST be updated. There were several dishes that did not have a gluten allergen indicator that contained gluten, as confirmed by our waiter. This must be corrected.
Delicious food. Excellent staff that explain exactly what's in the various dishes so pleasantly. We'll be back! Grainne
Amazing evening food staff atmosphere fantastic.
Food was lovely and service good. Cancellation policy of 20euro per person is a bit much - have not seen other restaurants charge / enforce this.
We had a great experience yesterday. The food is fabulous and flavoursome, with beautiful spices, a good punch of heat, but not too hot. The staff are welcoming, and very friendly. Pickle is one of our favourite restaurants in Dublin. Thank you!
