About Pickle Restaurant
Welcome to a new experience of authentic Indian food in Dublin!
Based on the cuisine of northern India, Pickle is the creation of multi-award winning chef Sunil Ghai and restaurateur Benny Jacob. In a relaxed fun space that marries Dublin with Bollywood and the foodie streets of Calcutta, diners can choose between Gupshup (small plates), Tandoori Chakhna (chops & game) and Desi Khana (curries & biryani), all tied together with traditional zingy pickle and contemporary twists on classical Indian condiments and sides. Ghai’s focus is flavour, built around the best available locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
Pickle is fabulous, a gloriously informal riot of intense flavours, vivid colours, unexpected subtleties, flashes of spicy hotness, deep and earthy tones, light and delicate dances on the tongue.
As we say in Hindi Attithi Devo Bhavo that means guest is God and we Always feed our God with pure food.
Pickle is serving pure flavours of Indian food
One of the best Indian restaurants for lunch - Tiffin box always excellent!
Excellent food and service
Kid mince curry was 👌🤤
We were a group of four people. We had four different meals and they were all excellent. The staff were unobtrusive but were very helpful and courteous.
Really lovely, thank you!
Undoubtedly the best Indian food joint in Dublin!
Food was great...portion sizes generous. Different, modern take on traditional Indian food .. works great. Wine too pricey!!! .... Carafe or Half Bottle should be available. Waiting staff were lovely, efficient and friendly.
The best Indian restaurant in Dublin. Excellent food.
This restaurant is fantastic. They have the whole package. The nicest Indian food I have ever had. Have been a few times, and already looking forward to going back.
I was disappointed with the table I had given that I had booked two months in advance. I was placed right beside the kitchen which was very noisy and smelly. However, the service was great and the food was very tasty. Definitely not a cheap meal but the serving size was good.
One of our favourite restaurants. Very friendly and well trained staff providing serving great food.
The nicest and most pleasant restaurant and staff I've ever encountered
You were recommended by a friend but you surpassed our expectations...thank you.
Fantastic menu and all food had a real depth of flavour. Service was needs improvement. Despite seeking clarification on menu three times they couldn't explain the mixed tasting option for any of us to understand. We were also abruptly told they needed the table back as they served us the desserts. And then followed up with the bill while we were still eating the desserts and hovered around with the credit card machine.
Fantastic flavours and friendly staff
We were in for a late lunch so there weren't many other guests there, however it was very relaxed and comfortable which was great. Delicious food and wine, and thanks for allowing us to stay a little later - we will be back!
I had flagged on my booking that I was both coeliac and vegetarian but it was clear to me that the staff were not briefed sufficiently about this. The information I received about menu choices was both confusing and contradictory. For example I was told I could not have any potato dish as the potatoes were fried in the same oil as gluten-containing items even though the potato side on the menu did not have the symbol to say it could contain gluten. Then when it was agreed that the chef could prepare a suitable thali for me, there was a potato dish (in sauce) included and an aloo tikka potato cake even though all of the vegetarian starters and small plates were marked with a gluten symbol including the potato cake. Also I was recommended to order a chick pea dish that did have the gluten symbol. This type of confusion made me feel I could not really trust that what I was served was gluten-free. I would not recommend this restaurant to a coeliac and I also feel that vegetarian choices are much more limited than in most Indian restaurants. However, I have given it 3 stars because my husband (who has no dietary restrictions) said his meal was very good.
An outstanding meal and we were taken care of beautifully. Right up there as one of our very favourite Restaurants in Dublin. Can not wait to come back! It was so good, we went to your sister takeaway restaurant, Chutni, the following day. It too was glorious!
Have eaten here a few times now. The early bird is good value. Food is very good and staff are helpful. Everyone I've been with has really enjoyed the experience and most have been back with the others planning to. Would definitely recommend!
I loved it, the food is exciting and delicious, the decor charming, and the service warm and helpful.
Food was lovely and service very good, a little over priced and quite a small menu. But I would definitely go again.
Loved the place! food was amazing, Service was perfect, staff very attentive and courteous... Highly recommended
Eating out in Dublin can be a fairly mediocre experience. This place stands well above the crowd; not only in the ethnic food area but in any company. I’ll be back soon.
