We had a small issue with our booking when we arrived, but this was quickly sorted by the attentive staff and Managers - Service was excellent. We had a great day and will be back

Our experience at peppermint last night was disappointing. Earlier in the day, i had driven 40 minutes from my home to give the venue 6 bunches of balloons, and some crystal confetti to decorate the area we were supposed to have. I had to spend half hour at the venue untangling the balloons, since they had all gotten tangled during the car journey. Whilst doing this, the man who was organising the booking, who i believe was called Oliver or Dafydd, stood there and watched me untangle the balloons to give to him for the night. Once i had finally untangled them all, the man was no where to be seen, and the bar man informed me he was busy and to give the decorations to him. As you can imagine, i had further questions regarding where we'd be sitting and what would happen with the drinks when we arrive. Despite this, i made the decision to trust the organisers at the venue and leave the decorations with the bar man and not ask any questions. I did this and specifically said to the bar man, "be careful because they tangle easy and I've been here forever untangling them. When we arrived at the venue later on in the night, we were taken to 3 tables, which weren't in an area as such, they were more disconnected than anticipated. Since i had made the booking in such advance, i had thought we would have gotten a better area than we did. Further, as we walked in and seen our area, one of the bar staff was at the table trying to untangled the balloons which i had given in individual bunches to the bar man after untangling them myself. The man who had stood and watched me untangle them earlier in the morning wasn't apologetic of the incident and told me that they had some how got tangled and there was nothing they could do about it. I found this appalling. We had to then request our complimentary drinks three times, as the first time they apparently weren't part of our package, then there was just a complimentary drink for the bride, and after 30 minutes sitting at the table we finally had a complementary drink each. It didn't end there. Once we had our drinks, i wanted to confirm what we would then get for the rest of the night. As i approached the organiser, he argued that we only had 3 bottles of Prosecco on our package. This was when a lovely girl called Jas came over and was very apologetic. Jas then went on to keep us updated with the process of serving the drinks. We were then well looked after and had the service we should have had from the beginning, and not an hour into our booking. Thank god for Jas. With having such good communication about the booking with Melissa, i would have thought that the staff at peppermint would have known how special this occasion was to us. Its a shame this wasn't the case when a lot of effort was put in by myself.

We took the cocktail masterclass which was hosted to us by Karel - What a brilliant bartender and cocktail teacher! We really couldn’t fault him, he made our experience fab from start to finish even showing us how he can blow fire. The class was a reasonable price and we got to make two cocktails ourselves and have them, plus shots in between. Really great experience for my sisters hen do and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family or to return myself!

Staff were miserable, food was really bland. Staff too say too long to serve drinks. Which with a cocktail I can understand but I was fifteen minutes for a glass of wine and the place was empty.

Had pre-booked a table for a friends birthday, had the loveliest time and have to say our waitress was so attentive and friendly! Would not of been the same without her :) food was perfect, hot and tasty and all cocktails were amazing! A little wait on them but understandable due to the business of the place.

We had lunch and to be honest we should have complained while there. Food was VERY basic and chips were cold. Thought it was expensive considering it was served on cardboard trays. Also my friends burger didnt have everything the menu said it should have. Very disappointed and wont be returning for food. Only plus cocktail was nice. Would have stayed for another one but service was slow so decided to move on. Overall very disappointed.

Absolutely dreadful service, booked a table for dinner prior to a concert and for our anniversary. After having ordered drinks, we were advised that the kitchen had closed. Ruined the start of our night completely. As a company you were well aware of what event was on and had not planned even remotely well to cope nor were you sensible enough to advise guests upon entry. Shambolic is the only appropriate word.

Initially through email booking the table was easy and communication was great. As soon as the deposit was paid the communication was very poor. On the day I needed to contact the bar. No answer over 3 hours or via email. We had table service, however this was awful service. I understand it is a busy environment but more staff or no table service would’ve been better. In the end we had to queue for drinks as we waited over half hour for our order to be taken.

Booked a table for 2 for spice girls event months in advance. Really looking forward to it but venue was a total let down, no pornstar martinis available, no espresso martinis - we were there for just 2 hours until 4pm before we were told no more cocktails (at all!) available - we could go and queue downstairs if we wanted. Defeats the point of paying for a table, where we were placed upstairs. Had to leave to go to another venue, despite paying for our table. Disappointing.

Drinks were taking 30-45 mins to arrive. Food arrived quicker than the drinks. We had to physically ask a waiter/waitress for service on our table. The bill was incorrect 3 times.

We were a party of four who had prepaid £100 upfront to reserve a table outside. The service was incredibly slow, at least 20mins before someone took our drinks order, by which time we had decided on food and ordered same time. The drinks didn’t arrive for another 20/30mins and food arrived a further 30mins (by which time we had finished our first round - hoping to order a second but the waiter rushed off). The food arrived cold and 2 of us had ordered 4 tapas for £15 each. Both of us were missing a tapas plate each. When trying to flag someone down we were told “sorry I’m not working at the moment” and “sorry you’re not my table”. When we eventually got someone’s attention they told us that the tapas was on its way (even though we had finished the rest of the food.) At this point we cancelled the missing tapas and asked to see a supervisor. The supervisor which unfortunately I can’t remember her name was very apologetic and accommodating she turned the visit around. But the service up until then was abysmal. I am a frequent visitor to Peppermint but after the last visit I will be hesitant to return and definitely will not recommend to others. Very disappointing and a real shame!

Numerous times we had to find a member of staff and ask to be served and was told on one occasion “sorry I completely forgot about you”; despite having spent around £400 during our booking. After asking to be served, we waited over 20 minutes for someone to come and take a drinks order at one point. We had to ask several times for the table to be cleared as there was no space due to empty jugs and glasses. Part of our food order arrived around 30 minutes after the rest of the meal and we were told that they had “forgotten” to add it to the order.

Melissa was totally accommodating with all my requests. Her and her team were phenomenal and couldn’t do enough for me and the party we had. Everyone commented on how great the food was. Well done chefs. All round amazing experience. Thank you

Staff are very friendly. I didn’t expect us to have table service. I was pleasantly surprised about that. Josh was looking after us he did a great job with our hen party. So friendly, bubbly and happy. Overall really enjoyed our experience in peppermint. I didn’t get the drinks on the table like I asked, but it wasn’t long before they arrived. Thank to everyone at peppermint for looking after us and making our evening.

I booked in advance for a birthday celebration, on arrival they didn't seem to know where to put us. The staff told some of us to sit down as there was table service, and we waited over 30 minutes for our first drinks. There was hardly anyone in there and people at the bar were getting served much faster than us. We would've stayed at the bar if we had known. It was a shame, as I had previously had a good experience here recently and recommended to my friend for her birthday.

I booked an area for 1015pm on sat 16 mar, we paid 200 for a birthday package. Firstly we arrived at 10pm and the party planner told my friends that it booked at 1015, nothing was ready there were people on table, nothing cleared, I can only apologise for getting there 15 mins early. 1045pm we received no drinks, we were sat down for 45 minutes just waiting, spoke to party planner at front door and explained to her that it's been 45 minutes and we were just sitting and waiting. A waiter/bar tender asked if I was on table 7 or 11. As I dont work at peppermint I don't know what table we were on. He said that he was dealing it, funny how we were waiting for such a long time but he had time to go outside and have a smoke. I understand it was a rugby night and extremely busy but there is no excuse for the poor service. If the staff are not able to keep up with the bookings they should have never been booked. We told the staff that included in the package was a free glass of prosecco but he brushed that aside. I can see that peppermint has been refurbished and there are no table service, but if you are trying to provide a more premium service you will need the staff trained. At the end of the might everyone did enjoy themselves but it was a disappointment at the beginning of the night. Many thanks
