Peet's serves delicious food made from locally sourced produce from Lochinver and the Scottish Highlands
Given the challenging Covid times I was suitably impressed at how this restaurant had thought through distancing measures and effected them with aplomb. Atmosphere was understandably limited on account of restrictions in force but the food was of a high standard. the waitress deserves special mention as she was single handedly serving diners very effectively and a steady stream of takeaway orders with no obvious detriment to either set of customers. Well done to her - do keep her on board!
We took an October holiday in Drumbeg Culkein and booked a meal at Peet's in the hope the covid19 restrictions would not stop us! We turned up and met a really kind and busy lady who made us feel at home, chatted enough to reassure and welcome us. A langoustine starter was our only fish dish - which is almost a crime with such wonderful seafood to choose! - but steak, and venison casserole, made up the rest of the meal. It was great food, and we were well looked after. Scottish Government stopped everything for the next fortnight - or we would have tried to book again for the second week of our holiday. I congratulate Peet's on all their safety measures and hard work - we felt completely safe, and had a super meal, a real lift. Next time!
We had a very nice seafood meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended a visit to Peet’s Harbourside if you are around the area.
We arrived 5 minutes early and were shown to our seats on time. Our drinks came quickly as did our starter. Some of the starter portions were very small for what you were paying for (4 mushrooms on the garlic mushroom starrer) We then had to wait an hour for our mains. This made us late for booking into our accommodation. Given the low volume of guests in the restaurant at the time, there was no reason for this delay given. We were stung by the cost of a bottle of average white wine. (£23) Our bill came to £120 for 4 people having a starter, a main, 4 bottles of beer and the wine. We left rather disappointed..
Most amazing muscles and waitress was an absolute delight. Sad to see COVID restricting numbers but didn’t affect the service or quality of food. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing food. My husband said the scallops were the best he’d ever had! I highly recommend this place, it’s reasonably priced and there’s no cutting corners on anything. Delicious.
Lovely restaurant. Food and staff very good.
Food was great. The atmosphere could have been better without covid rules with the distancing. Service was excellent but the poor waitress was on her own that evening so was very busy for her. Would go there again
The atmosphere not great but this I put down to the current circumstances.
Despite Covid restrictions, the service was great and friendly and the food - excellent - really excellent.
We had a fantastic meal exactly like we did last time. Elaine service was great! We look forward to our next visit to Peet's when we return to Lochinver.
A safe dining experience, so ambience suffered a little. Food was excellent, and lovely bottle of wine.
A great place: lovely food and friendly service. A "must visit: if you are in the area. Only 4* for atmosphere due to COVID-19: not the staff's fault!
We were met with a warm welcome and friendly face. The food was amazing, super fresh local seafood. Full adherance to Covid rules were in place. It was so good we went twice :-)
Fantastic meal, outstanding service and friendly people 😊👍
Fantastic food and service! I went back the next night!
A gem in Lochinver. COVID measures clear, with sanitisers, masks, one way system. Food very tasty and well presented. Staff friendly, helpful and not intrusive. Went back for a second night!
Excellent service, great food, would highly recommend.
Rather a long wait for first course given we were time restricted. Very safe environment and we felt comfortable
Lovely restaurant with super attentive Friendly staff . All precautions are being taken for covid. Food was delicious.
Very nice restaurant, I had the venison casserole, it was very delicious. I then went for the passion fruit cheesecake, which was a bit of a disappointment, as it just seemed to be a vanilla cheesecake with a dash of passion fruit sauce. Was a massive let down.
Excellent food which was good value for money. Service was very efficient and friendly. Atmosphere marked down due to covid restrictions which is no fault of the restaurant.
Great, good value seafood. Friendly service.
A wonderful meal in a well-organised and spacious restaurant which has got to grips with the Covid19 safety requirements very effectively. Excellent fish menu, lovely French white wine and efficiently friendly service.
