Always a lovely meal.
Came with family for Sunday lunch, which was lovely, and again Monday for a birthday meal, very much enjoyed by myself and sister. The staff are friendly and welcoming.Lovely ambience.
A real delight as always! Excellent food & lovely welcome!
Excellent have been 4 times now delicious Sunday lunch yesterday
Fabulous Sunday lunch, beautiful old unspoilt gastro pub, ultra friendly service.
This is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. The variety and quality of the food is outstanding. The service is excellent, the ambient is elegant and cosy. We will certainly go back again.
Couldn't fault the menu or the food itself. I'm a coeliac and often have difficulty finding anything suitable when eating out. Not at the Pear Tree though. The menu was clearly marked as to what was GF and there was plenty of choice. My wife thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return shortly. The wine we had was a little expensive but very good quality.
As I had to add an additional person to my booking, on the day before and again on arrival at The Pear Tree, your staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming even though they were busy. Tables were adjusted and we found ourselves sitting by the fire in a quiet corner which made it more cosy for us as a family as well as for my little puppy! We had a lovely time - thank you so much.
A very pleasant lunch. Have been a number of times in the evening, so was delighted to experience lunch. The meal was hot, very tasty, well cooked and presented. A lovely way to celebrate one's birthday. Thank you.
Wonderful Sunday lunch as always. Every thing was fresh, cooked to perfection, tasty and presented beautifully. The treacle tart and homemade cinnamon ice cream was divine, along side the Trader spice Shiraz! Excellent afternoon, relaxed, warm and cosy. Great staff, friendly and very helpful. Love the Pear Tree!
Excellent lunch with a close friend
Excellent food and service as usual.
From the moment we arrived, once we had found The Pear Tree Inn, we had a wonderful time. We were very well looked after & the food was delicious. The only problem we had was a lack of signs to the pub, which was frustrating.
The setting was superb, the food was delicious. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We dined in the restaurant and then moved into the bar by the fire to play boggle! Thank you very much!!!
The food was absolutely delicious and there was a great choice of drinks. The only slightly annoying thing was a dodgy light that kept randomly turning on and off.
We had a fantastic time. The food was wonderful and the service very professional. The Pear Tree Inn, is stunning. I’ll be back!
Lovely family lunch - good wholesome and flavourful. Great service - lovely ambience. My nephew James had his world do here last week. Love it - thank you so much to all
We are eating at the pear tree more and more often - very relaxing, great food and good friendly service
A wonderful retreat at any time of the year, set in a quiet little village. We have spent 3 nights here back in the Summer and now a Christmas break for 3 nights and we cannot fault it. It is relaxing, the staff are extremely accommodating, the rooms are perfect and quiet, the food is delicious and home cooked and the atmosphere is second to none. There are lovely off the lead walks that can go for miles ( if you have dogs) or just love walking in the beautiful countryside, adjacent to The Pear Tree too. It is our favourite retreat and thoroughly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back again.
Delicious food, very friendly staff, exquisite surroundings... Made our family Christmas one to remember, We will definitely be back next year and not only on a Christmas Day ... Thank you Pear Tree !!!
The menu is good and the food presented well. Our meal on Christmas Eve was very good, but on a previous visit was disappointing. Overall the place is lovely but the food needs to be more consistent and can lack flavour.
Usual high standards.
Fantastic Christmas Eve meal, so impressed that we will book again for next year. Plenty of food and the atmosphere was festive.
A lovely Christmas meal
We had a lovely evening, delicious food, friendly staff and lovely surroundings.
