About Paulo Giannis Kendal
Paulo Giannis is a well established Italian restaurant in the historic town of Kendal, the gateway to the Lake District.
We are famous for our Happy Hour offer, where Pizza and Pasta dishes start from just £4.99. This offer is on every lunchtime, and from 5.30-6.30pm every evening.
Our adjoining bar The Townhouse offers a selection of deli boards and artisan pizzas, as well as being the perfect venue for your special occasion. Please speak to our team for more details.
It was my parents anniversary they have not been to giannis for over 5 years so i thought it would be good to take them there for a meal. They loved the food and thought the service was very good so we will all be coming back at some point.
Just can't rate this restaurant highly enough. Always eat here on visits to Kendal. Wish they did deliveries - Chesham in Buckinghamshire! Great food atmosphere, staff, value for money - great all round!
I’ve been to Gianni’s many times, and occasionally the experience has been somewhat underwhelming. Service has been slow and just left me leaving the restaurant without much satisfaction. However, the experience I had with my partner and our friends was fantastic. Starters were absolutely on point and the mains were wonderful! The calzone was spot on! Finished off with a couple of brandies and the ladies had an aperol spritz. And bill worked out at around £30 each which was fantastic value for money for the experience we received. Keep this going, and we’ll come more :) Many thanks
Really good lunchtime value
thoroughly enjoyable meal..thank you very much
Excellent food and very family friendly
Something you can’t do much about, but very noisy, which makes conversation difficult. Otherwise a lovely meal with excellent service.
Restaurant was just too busy for the number of staff waiting on. Waited over an hour for main course of pizzas/ pasta. Asked for Parmesan/ black pepper upon being served meal, had almost finished eating before it was brought to table. Staff very pleasant but just too busy to attend to customers.
great service lovely food
A great restaurant, great food and good value for money. We’ll recommend 👍
It never occurred to me to book for a Saturday lunchtime (budget priced) meal, but I’m glad I did as it’s a popular venue offering pasta and pizza meLs as a budget price.
The meal was lovely. But when we asked if we could get a drink in sphere when we left it was not very welcoming. The two of the staff then proceeded to open the fire door an smoke cigarettes to allow all the smoke to come into the bar we were very disappointed
I had made the booking online but when me and 5 other turned up, there was no table for us. We felt like we had been forgotten about before we had even sat down.
Tasty food and good value for money, friendly service. Please bring back the porn star martini to the cocktail menu!
I have asked for a phone Call but not had one yet. I was so embarrassed with this place. After asking us to pre order they got it wrong and two of us ended up waiting up waiting 10 minutes whilst it was cooked. Very hard to get anyone’s attention throughout the whole evening. One person never got offered a drink and then the water arrived at the end of the meal. Asked for puddings etc and forgot a cake. I was so appalled. I await your reply.
Superb food, really fabulous menu. The table service was perhaps a little rushed, but I guess that is perhaps to be expected on a Friday evening...
We were seated very quickly plenty of time to look at the menu. Food was beautiful. Well presented and hot. Would definitely recommend
Excellent meal with great service. The food was of a very high standard and piping hot. The menu choice was extensive and catered for all tastes.
The new manager - the Rochdale cowboy, has trashed this restaurant. Pretty, unskilled staff, forgotten orders, low grade wine and flies made this a disappointment. A second visit had us refused 2 beer choices but our fallback - water, was charged at £2 a bottle. Odd as, when ordering beer, the water was offered free. Food was good. We won't return till the cowboy has gone.
Always have a great meal here. Great value for money so much to choose from great services too
The service was very slow as it appeared only two untrained staff working that night. However, cannot fault the food.
Best place to eat in Kendal Great value
Lovely Saturday lunch...staff are professional and helpful
The service was excellent.
