Our first visit and already planning our next .
Delicious food, in an elegant and beautiful setting. We really enjoyed our evening.Thank you
We dined on the 5 course Tasting Menu. Absolutely superb food with innovative flavour combinations. Very pleasant atmosphere. The staff were also very pleasant. Excellent value for money. We would certainly recommend Paschoe House and will be returning soon.
Beautiful house, sumptuous afternoon tea and friendly service. A real treat.
Exceptional tasting menu for lunch last sunday, so delighted with everything.
Great relaxing hotel in a beautiful location.
Firstly this place looks amazing, the welcome was lovely and we were given the option to sit outside as the weather was lovely. The host (didn't get her name) was very friendly and welcoming and everything seemed to be going well until she left to show some people around who were looking to book their wedding at the venue. Things then started to go downhill and this left us leaving feeling extremely disappointed with our afternoon tea for mothers day! Firstly my son had to wait 2 hours for his drink of lemonade despite being asked 3 times by the waiter, it was hard to get their attention and when they came over they kept saying "it was coming" When I made our reservation, I asked the waitress for no fish sandwiches as we are not huge fans (I also requested this when the waitress came and took our order) this was completely ignored, when I bought this to the attention of the waitress she took the 8 salmon finger sandwiches and replaced them with 2 basic cheese sandwiches (with no onion chutney in it). Some of the bread was stale too. We also witnessed on 2 occasions the same waiter (Matthew) who took 2 hours to bring the drinks over telling off a young waitress, this was really not very nice and we even felt the need to speak to the young girl and offer her some kind words of encouragement. I had also asked for a kids afternoon tea and was told they would be able to do something similar to what was on offer at Bovey Castle (www.boveycastle.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Childrens-afternoon-tea-2018.pdf) unfortunately this was not the case and the kids left hungry! Overall a disappointing first visit to Pascoe House.
Food excellent Great choice of beverages Execellent service Very good evening had.
Excellent food should have a Michelin star
We had a lovely lunch, and we felt like we were having lunch in someones home as welcome guests. Thank you to the whole team.
A wonderful afternoon and fantastic cream tea!!
Had such a lovely evening! Will definitely be returning!! The staff were so lovely !
Without doubt, the best dining experience we have had for a long time! The food surpassed all our expectations, it was adventurous and delicious and we can't really believe that the mini lunchtime tasting menu is only £40! The restaurant should be packed. That is our one criticism - the restaurant wasn't very busy (no idea why?!) so lacked a little bit of atmosphere. We wondered if the description 'mini' was putting people off? There was plenty to eat and it felt just the right amount for lunch. The service was excellent and our waiter was friendly and informative. The chef is fantastic: we loved the red wine granita! We spent quite a bit of time discussing how soon we could come back again and who we could invite. We will certainly be recommending Paschoe House to everyone we know and we'd like to say a huge thank you for making a birthday lunch really special.
A delicious lunch in a very pretty and comfortable hotel. Matthew and Louise were particularly helpful but the staff were all friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic service and nothing too much trouble. An elegant afternoon tea which was thoroughly relaxing . Thank you
Wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff in a beautiful setting Not to mention the cream tea was delicious We will be back
Lovely venue, highly recommend and hoping to be able to work with you for a wedding soon! thanks again for having us!
The setting and decor is breathtaking but without such 5 star service, the experience would not be half as memorable. I must make special mention of Matthew, Louise and a serene Japanese lady who's name escapes me (Sekoto?). Kindly congratulate them on the high standard of attention they afforded us; they were absolutely brilliant.
Fantastic lunch, very talented chef. Excellent service. One of the best meals we have had recently locally. Knocks spots of lympstone manor!! Will be back soon for dinner and overnight stay. Singing your praises to all of friends.
We booked for lunch and it was a taster menu which was absolutely delicious. Great service, not rushed and the chef even served some dishes. Hoighly recommended.
The food and drink was awesome- we had a la Carte one night and the seven course tasting menu with wine flight the next. The staff were lovely and friendly and Matthew was particularly attentive and had an amazing passion and knowledge for the food and drink. We stayed two nights in Rabbit room. The decor and personal touches were such high standard. The turn down service was particularly impressive- welcome note, chocolates, chamomile tea, hot water bottle, pillow oil mist. Just amazing. Stunning house in stunning grounds. To make it even more perfect, if there was a little stool at the dressing table and a small sofa in rabbit room that would be most welcome- and perhaps a little chest to put your clothes, but that is just me being picky and suggesting ways to turn the room from a 9.9/10 to a 10/10! The bathroom however was awesome. We’ll definitely return.
We had the lunchtime tasting experience menu. Every mouthful was absolutely delicious and packed with flavours. We were very well looked after and received well informed answers to any questions about our meal and wine. We’re looking forward to our next visit.
Wonderful experience. Tasting menu superb apart from the granita. Will definately return.
