Very enjoyable lunch with terrific service. Have already booked again.
Food and drink was nice but nothing incredible so seemed overpriced for what it was even with the lovely location. Service was great and the atmosphere was lovely.
Amazing food, atmosphere was a bit off but can’t expect too much just after lockdown, will definitely bring my kids next time.
We really enjoyed the service, food and ambience. Joe the waiter ensured that we had everything we needed. We will definitely return.
Stuck on an afterthought of a table despite normal tables being available. Had to chase drinks several times. Promised blankets several times but never arrived Overall very disappointing.
Food was pretty bad, service and atmosphere was great, obviously the views are good. £12 for a cocktail is so steep for Southend, like I can sit at the anchor and have a nice view over the river and it’s like £8.50. Everytime I’ve been I’ve never had a perfect meal, lobster is quite dry, steak is over cooked and very tough, seems like cheap meat rather than a bad chef but I could be wrong. Again I think it’s expensive if you’re getting sub par food. I wouldn’t be recommending for anything other than splitting a bottle of wine at sunset.
Wonderful lunch at Oyster Creek Kitchen - service was excellent, amazing cocktails, delicious food, it felt like we were on holiday! Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Our server Joe was fantastic. Very attentive and even sorted us a bread basket to have with our drinks. Food was amazing.
I feel you haven’t thought being outside only through. You have a table a heater and blankets, so when I asked for a blanket I was told there wasn’t enough to go round. You had all the heaters down one end whereas it would make more sense to spread them out. I feel your prices don’t reflect the food, it really isn’t good value for money. The only nice thing about the place is the view and friendly staff! We will not be returning.
What a perfect way to celebrate our first meal out after lockdown! Amazing service, nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely and fresh - my fish was huge! Luckily for us although it was April, the sun was shining and the tide was sparkling making our lunch even nicer. Highly recommend.
Wasn’t overly impressed with portions. Service very very slow. Music was good and cocktails when they eventually turned up.
Food was delicious, staff were lovely. Great cocktails. Just wished we could have stayed longer than 2hrs. Will 100% be back
Fantastic food and excellent service!
Amazing food, so tasty! Service was lovely and prompt. We were sat outside due to the current situation but there were heaters and blankets available so we kept warm. Lovely atmosphere and view!
Had a great time staff were really friendly! See you guys soon!
We had a lovely lunch on Wednesday, the food was fantastic the staff are very friendly and attentive. I was a bit sceptical about outside dinning in April but the rain held off and the staff supply blankets to keep you warm if the heaters aren’t enough . We can’t wait to come back again
I'd say slightly overpriced for food and drink however because of the location and view, it's worth it. Staff are so friendly and helpful which makes your experience so much better. Food is absolutely amazing and I cant fault at all. Only issue I had was the time we had to wait for everything. From sitting down, to taking our orders and receiving our orders. It was slightly too long however the staff was very apologetic and apologised so we didn't mind as much. Will certainly be going back as we really enjoyed ourselves.
Setting is really nice and well set up for dining outdoors. The food was really tasty but the service is a bit slow, and hard to get the attention of the waiters. The wine was nice but the espresso martini was not.
Staff were so friendly and attentive. We were sat outside and they gave us blankets because it was cold. Food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Lovely meal,will come again
Lovely afternoon outside sitting at one of your fire pit tables which was much needed on a cold dull December afternoon. Staff very welcome, polite and helpful. Food good quality and enjoyed it very much. Only small grumble was that food service was a little slow.
Lovely place. Good value for money Seafood was amazing! Staff is very polite and helpful 😊
Love this place so much, food and service always first class - please don’t close again, I could t cope!!!!
We had a very very good meal at OCK starting with Deviled Whitebait, followed by the OCK Tier, consisting of Lobster, Dressed Crab, Oysters, Moules Marinere, Prawns. Crayfish, Cockles, Anchovies Smoked Salmon, Mussels and Samphire. At the end we had desserts and coffee. This was all very nice and value for the money, but when the bill arrived a 10% service charge was imposed, I would prefer to add my own tip at the end. To me this is out dated practice Considering some of the reviews I read on trip adviser. We took a chance on this restaurant. Very good meal, thank you Bill D
