About Oxwich Bay Hotel
The Oxwich Bay Hotel is situated in 8 acres of private grounds, overlooking a spectacular 2.5 mile beach setting. Dining at the Oxwich Bay is a unique experience that will last long in the memory. As one of the best restaurants in Swansea, our Head Chefs have created a series of menus which showcase their innovative style, and fresh, contemporary dishes have been specially designed to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. The hotel’s wine cellar is also home to a wide selection of wines and spirits, carefully chosen to fully complement our range of menus.
We understand that eating out is as much about the ambiance as it is the food. Therefore, we offer a number of attractive dining options, ranging from our impressive garden terrace with its sweeping views of the bay, to more intimate and atmospheric areas such as our rustic Chestnut Room. Light lunches and bar snacks can also be enjoyed in the comfort of our cosy Chestnut Lounge.
Lovely meal and very friendly efficient staff.
We had a lovely stay on the pooch package. Atmosphere and service was excellent. Our only feedback was we were little disappointed with the food overall, particularly breakfast. The breakfast food was a little cold and we had to send our bacon sandwiches back as the bacon was very burnt. However staff were very quick to respond to this and provided us with new bacon sandwiches.
Had a great time at Oxwich Bay Hotel. Location, food and service was brilliant.
Fabulous service which made a small family celebration quite magical. Staff were superb. Particularly the manager but I didn’t get his name!
The food menu was a bit disappointing, expected an al scattered evening menu with some more exciting options. The setting is stunning. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The caravan was decent size but it smelled so bad. And it is very outdated, with a lot of windows not shutting flush etc. Shame.
friendly staff, great location, food was good, all in all we had a fantastic time!
We were a few minutes early for our reservation and the barman said the supervisor would be there shortly to take us to our table. We ordered a drink at the bar and sat in the reception area expecting the supervisor to come over. However the fact we were waiting was not communicated so several more people came and were seated. We had to go up again and a different waiter took us to the table. The food was nice but not exceptional- the lamb koftas would be better with a raita dip rather than salsa- and the glass of house wine was the most expensive I have ever had! Once we had finished and had the bill the staff disappeared so we had to go up to the till to pay. It had been recommended to us and in such a beautiful setting, a bit more attention to detail would have made it perfect. Maybe a bit more customer service training is needed!
Not a great sweet selection I’m afraid. We wanted the cheesecake but it had sold out the night before Overall we loved the Sunday roast atmosphere & friendly staff along with the view
We had Afternoon Tea for three and everything was perfect from the freshly cooked and prepared cakes and sandwiches to the presentation on a miniature picnic table. Well done. Mike and Cathie
Wonderful staff who give outstanding service. Nothing is too much trouble - unusual, but brilliant.
Staff were very friendjy, helpful and efficient.
Great service from reception right through to the restaurant. The food was very good value.
Had a lovely time in the secret garden and would love to return again in the future.
Wonderful time. Staff fabulous, friendly, helpful and obliging. No complaints at all. Cant wait to come back. Well worth travelling that little bit further for.
I think the drinks were overpriced otherwise a fabulous experience
Restaurant needs a refurb
The girl that served us was lovely and helpful but found table to small for 4 for afternoon tea as there was not enough room for the bench and teapots and cups and plates on it so felt very cramped and table and seats could do with some TLC.
We got married here in February and were given a complimentary voucher for a 2 course meal. As we were child free for the night we decided to use our voucher. We were greeted by our waiter who was friendly and accommodating. The food was as we had expected- delicious! Our only regret was that we were too full for desert (they sounded amazing) We will definitely return in the near future. Thank you again for your hospitality and a second to none service!
The girl who brought my food was uncertain what it was and was rather grumpy. I had the main course of Welsh lamb. It was delicious but had very few veggies and I left feeling hungry.
Fabulous afternoon tea. Friendly helpful staff I would highly recommend it
Surprised at the quality of the food! Will visit again when next walking through. Interior has several really interesting, quirky features Also name spelt with 'an' at the end
Food was really good as was the service. I think the atmosphere may be different out of the summer season but I felt as if I was in a beach bar. People strolling through the area in beach clothes and using the toilets to change their clothes. Difficult to control as most of the clientele were from the beach. Felt that the drinks from the bar were over priced. £27 for a bottle of Prosecco is extortionate
We ordered mocktails. £6plus each but poorly made and lacking some of the listed ingredients! Bar staff member who served us seemed out of her depth. Fish and chips were not hot.
Wonderful as always can't fault in any way
The visit on Saturday the 13th for afternoon tea was enjoyed very much by our group of sixteen,it was a very busy afternoon, but the staff were excellent in dealing with our group of a certain age.the tea was excellent as well, with tea and coffee freshly replenished as needed.Thank you and they would like to come again.
