About Other Side Of The Moon
Executive Chef Grant Murray and his team pride themselves on utilising the freshest, and where possible, sustainable local produce from one of the most abundant food and wine regions in Australia.
Other Side of the Moon is aptly named after one of the famous beaches and surf breaks nearby. It is easy to be swept away by such magical views, but the heart and soul of this restaurant is not the white sands and turquoise waters of Bunker Bay but the array of fresh locally sourced seasonal produce featured proudly on this Modern Australian menu.
For your dining pleasure, food and wine pairings have been carefully selected to complement the delicate flavours of each dish..
Our team’s commitment to service ensures that any special dietary requirements are accommodated and special occasions are celebrated here in a relaxed setting at Other Side of the Moon Restaurant.
Unfortunately dessert was disappointing.
Food was very good, service as well, just lacks a bit of atmosphere, probably only from our point of view given it was our anniversary, just a little open and loud.
We had an awesome time , and beautiful location for an anniversary.
Awesome location, reasonably priced & the staff are friendly & helpful
Exceptional service and beautiful food. Was totally worth it . Please keep it up .
The Seafood Platter was great value for two people and the deserts are first class and beautifully presented
We were very disappointed with Kathy's meal, the chicken was dry.The duck fat potatoes were far from a roasted potato more like a boiled serving. My serving of steak was OK but nothing special, all in all an average meal.
Staff are very friendly. Food is good
The meal was fantastic! We ordered the seafood platter and we devoured everything!
Lovely breakfast buffet and dinner at a beautiful location!
As regular visitors to the Bunker Bay Pullman resort we were keen to try the new menu, however the result whist pleasant was certainly not exciting. Earlier in the day we ordered a shared antipasti platter, thinking of the version we were used too when the platter arrived (now $40) we were greeted by a sea of meat and a single piece of cheese. It was good quality but paled in comparison to the old platter which had much more variety with and a flare (grilled bread and salted red wine butter) that the new version most certainly did not. REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING - DONT TRY TO FIX IT IF IT ISN'T BROKEN.
I was very disappointed with our dinner, firstly I requested a booking with a view (I should have specified not a view of the buffet) for my husbands 50th birthday. It felt like we were sat in the kids section of the restaurant. My daughters pasta napolitana was very sweet so we ordered her a salad which was nice. Only one kids meal was sent out so we had to ask twice where the other meal was, to be told it was sitting on the pass, it took some time to come out and our son was waiting for his food while the rest of us had to eat otherwise it would have been cold. There was also a very long wait between our entrée and main. Only one kids desert was sent out which was not what was ordered anyway and we had to ask were the other was, they did rush the order through but it was inconsistent... the chocolate was missing... not a big issue for an adult but for a 5 year old child it's not fair when you sibling gets chocolate and you don't. By that stage my husband was over it and didn't want desert he just wanted to leave. A very disappointing night which was meant to be a special celebration.
We had the seafood platter and I feel that it was little food for the price. I've had similar platters at other places and they had a full lobster instead of little slipper lobster the size of a prawn. Don't get me wrong, the food tasted good, I would just like to see more food on the platter.
Beautiful setting, delicious food & incredible wait staff! Thank you!
Gorgeous sunset dining experience
There is no atmosphere for fine dining. Mismatched salt and pepper . Two pepper on one table. No napkin service. The same layout for breakfast as for dinner. Three wait staff given the same drink order three times prior to being told the beer ordered was no longer available. Waiter overheard apologising to three other tables about forgeti g something of their order.”so sorry it’s very busy tonight and I’ll get it now”. At least change it up for dinner with a candle on the table. The menu was great and the meal itself was perfect. However for a special occasion was disappointing. Bunker Bay is an expensive exercise.the breakfast spread is fantastic, the front of house and housekeeping brilliant, attentive and very much on the ball.
Unfortunately at the same time there was a huge group of loud conference visitors who ware not aware of anyone else, however staff ware fantastic Hahah was very accommodating and ready to move us to better location.
The food was absolutely beautiful and a great romantic setting to celebrate our anniversary
Enjoyed our meal
You don't have enough stars for us to Express the level of service we received. The level of service received merits 10 out of 5!!
The best blue fillet steak I have had in many years and my wife was equally impressed with her swordfish. Many congratulations to the chef.
Slightly disappointed that the menu was exactly the same as the bar menu at the Pullman Resort Bunker Bay... last time I came it was a totally different menu... But in saying that the Sweets are amazing!! Wish there were more Vegetarian Options...
Good friendly service from the wait staff but a let down from the kitchen. Food was under-cooked or overcooked depending on the dish and was unexciting. Not what we expected form a highly rated resort.
Excellent food and service. Tables nicely spread out
Food was very average. Duck was dry, arancini tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Pork belly fatty but over cooked underneath. Barramundi was inedible, smelt so poorly that we couldn’t even eat it. On a plus however the desserts were ready good.
