About Other Side Of The Moon
Executive Chef Grant Murray and his team pride themselves on utilising the freshest, and where possible, sustainable local produce from one of the most abundant food and wine regions in Australia.
Other Side of the Moon is aptly named after one of the famous beaches and surf breaks nearby. It is easy to be swept away by such magical views, but the heart and soul of this restaurant is not the white sands and turquoise waters of Bunker Bay but the array of fresh locally sourced seasonal produce featured proudly on this Modern Australian menu.
For your dining pleasure, food and wine pairings have been carefully selected to complement the delicate flavours of each dish..
Our team’s commitment to service ensures that any special dietary requirements are accommodated and special occasions are celebrated here in a relaxed setting at Other Side of the Moon Restaurant.
The food was exquisite and the service was really spot on and friendly. I would love to see the bar move away from plastic straws to sustainable and ocean friendly alternatives. Paper or recyclable bamboo straws would be forward thinking and in line with a more sustainable approach.
We dined here twice and the food was divine on both occasions. The service was excellent.
Menu was a little limited. But all dishes were excellent.
Yummy food and yummy cocktails!
amazing food and attentive staff
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal at Other Of The Moon. The meal was excellent and the staff and ambience of the restaurant made for a perfect evening.
Great friendly service with delicious food and beautiful outlook.
Meat was tough
Top level service backed by delicious food
Incredibly disappointing birthday dinner for my husband. Our experience started out ok with a table reserved by the fire, however quickly went downhill. Entrees took quite a while to come out and whilst they were quite tasty, $27 for 3 scallops is a tad overpriced. After an hour waiting for our mains to arrive eventually the birthday guest’s waygu beef rump was delivered burnt on the outside and totally raw and inedible on the inside. At $49 for the Waygu main dish this was totally unacceptable and sent back to the kitchen whilst my husband and I shared my lamb meal, which was at least edible. Our waitress was totally apologetic and seemed quite embarrassed by the whole experience and we received a free dessert, bottle of wine taken off the bill and didn’t have to pay for the long awaited steak that was still “mooing”. Whilst the discounts were appreciated, this did not make up for the sour taste left in our mouths at having our special birthday dinner spoilt. Would not recommend this restaurant.
We love the staff at Other Side of the Moon! The night had a few hiccups but you could not have better staff on board to smooth out the ripples. We thoroughly enjoyed the entrees of scallops and gnocchi. The desserts of caramel cheesecake and petit fours were superb. We loved the use of indigenous ingredients gathered locally by an elder such as the lemon myrtle macaroon. We were very spoiled by staff who knew things hadn’t gone perfectly but made the evening splendid with their kind attention and assistance. They were so friendly and professional. Thank you Team!
Very nice dinner, great service and an interesting menu. Love the Aussie ingredients, nice touch. It was a pleasure to dine there. ☺️
We enjoyed the Asian fish dish as a main course and it was delightful. The view was magical!
Once again the Chefs here have outdone themselves. Our group tried the soup, scallops with pear - delish, potato and ricotta gnocchi and quail. They were all delicious and plated excellently. The only critique was that the qual was a small portion. Main choices were Fish of the day, Chicken, Lamb, Pork Belly and Rump. Good portions of delicious food. Dessert just got better the lemon tart was a winner as was the Dark Chocolate and Raspberry lover. Food was so good we came back a 2nd time on a 3 night stay. Keep up the great work.
Great food, even better service and a wonderful location, both local and interstate wines
Very attentive service and delicious well prepared food
Food was amazing and the service was above and beyond
Had a goats cheese salad which when we questioned the ‘taste’ or lack of in the goats cheese, was told it was from ‘Dunsborough’. Hmmm? Sorry. Don’t believe it. Had goats cheese at another restaurant in the same region & it tasted like.....goats cheese. Amazing.
We left the planet to experience the world of Bunker Bay with you. So much romance and ambience, food to die for, service with chit chat and smiles. Everything to perfection
Food was beautiful and tasted great. Really comfortable atmosphere. The desserts were so good and we will be definitely be back.
Large portions! We were almost too full for dessert! Everything was tasty!
Staff were friendly but unobtrusive, pleasant service and lovely setting.
Food was very good and beautifully presented. Service was perfect. Restaurant itself is quite dated. No tablecloths on table so no different from where you have breakfast if you are staying at Bunker Bay. Needs to create a more luxurious feel for evening dinner.
Overall good evening
Love the new menu featuring many local products!
