About Other Side Of The Moon
Executive Chef Grant Murray and his team pride themselves on utilising the freshest, and where possible, sustainable local produce from one of the most abundant food and wine regions in Australia.
Other Side of the Moon is aptly named after one of the famous beaches and surf breaks nearby. It is easy to be swept away by such magical views, but the heart and soul of this restaurant is not the white sands and turquoise waters of Bunker Bay but the array of fresh locally sourced seasonal produce featured proudly on this Modern Australian menu.
For your dining pleasure, food and wine pairings have been carefully selected to complement the delicate flavours of each dish..
Our team’s commitment to service ensures that any special dietary requirements are accommodated and special occasions are celebrated here in a relaxed setting at Other Side of the Moon Restaurant.
The steak special on our first night was amazing, as was the fish. Unfortunately on the second night the lamb special was disappointing. The staff were fantastic and service was excellent.
I had high hopes for Other Side. Sadly it turned out to be just another hotel restaurant. No atmosphere. Food looked great but lacked subtlety. And I had to send back the beef rib as it was dry and tough. We ate the next night in the bar section of Resort and it was great. Good vibe and more casual food options.
We enjoyed a lovely drink & for entee, the duck spring rolls were delicious- however it stopped there.. my husbands Beef Cheeks had NO soft cheek texture; it was firm, needing a knife to cut through & quite dry. Potato & jus nice but beef was awful. My risotto though the mushroom component was nice, it had nearly two tablespoons of peas: which I don't eat & if written as an ingredient, on the menu - I would not have ordered this dish.. Even after spending 10mins picking them out - the risotto was gluggy & dry.. the plate so hot; that I believe it sat under the heat lamp for to long & all moisture was sucked out.. had 1 spoonful & I was done.. the 2IC 'comp'd' both meals - which was appreciated as they were very below par. Quite disappointing as I have dined here before & my experience was pleasant previously..
Wait long time for our main food.
Fantastic food and fantastic service
We had an awesome experience at your restaurant last weekend. The service was charming, helpful and fun and really added to the whole experience. The food was amazing. We will be back, thank you.
Food and service was amazing you never fail
Excellent, the food was great, the staff where very attentive and very helpful.
The duck spring rolls and the duo of pork were both fantastic. Pity that we were only staying 1 night and could not sample more of the menu.
Lovely meal, service & great local wine list.
Great food and service.
The food presentation was outstanding and cooked to perfection. Will certainly be back.
Food and presentation were excellent with innovative use of local ingredients. Great place to dine when staying at the resort.
Very nice experience, very good and attentive staff
Food was definitely great, with really well done kids menu, atmosphere just about alright and the most family friendly place you can find in the evening in this area — only thing is that service was attentive but slightly clinical, if anything the staff need to have more personality and warmth.
To the Chef and staff at Other Side Of The Moon, On Thursday 27th September we as a family of 17 celebrated a significant birthday. There were 8 adults and 9 grandchildren under the age of 12,and we had a wonderful evening which will be remembered long after our holiday concluded. The restaurant accommodated our request for a chocolate mousse birthday cake which was delicious and enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Chef. We had a three course meal, a la carte, and we were delighted with the attention paid to the family's needs. To top off the evening the staff organised a movie for the children to watch in the activity room so that we adults could make the most of the meal. So many thanks to all of you for making our dinner so special. regards, RobynTasker.
Was unfortunately a stuff up with our order and therefore a very long wait for our mains. Frustrated as there was no apologies from staff. Otherwise food was alright
Very nice food. Tasty and well presented
Absolutely incredible! And the chef who made the birthday cake was phenomenal!!
For 5 star resturant the outlook was very poor over looking plastic chairs from lunch instead of view. No lighting ambience
Food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Can’t beat the views are the atmosphere. Would definitely come here again.
Made my reservation a good week in advance and requested a special location within the dinning area for the special occasion we were celebrating. On arrival we were seated up the top section amongst tables with small children. I requested a move and was advised best option was 1 table back as you were fully booked. I had thought somewhere near the fire or away from kids would be great but nope. Advertising that the restaurant has such a highly rated chef doesn't marry up with the décor, the food is just as much important as the ambience. Food was very good. Entrees were limiting. Drinks in particular the beers were also limiting. If we were there for longer we would eat once on site and go else where for the other nights. Not restaurant's fault but kids and fine dinning don't mix.
Orders weren’t taken correctly, our ‘ sides ‘ for the main meal were forgotten, they came when we were almost finished but only because we had to go up and ask where they were? The table next to us didnt even get their desserts they had been forgotten.
Food and service outstanding.
Fantastic food, fantastic staff!
