About Other Side Of The Moon
Executive Chef Grant Murray and his team pride themselves on utilising the freshest, and where possible, sustainable local produce from one of the most abundant food and wine regions in Australia.
Other Side of the Moon is aptly named after one of the famous beaches and surf breaks nearby. It is easy to be swept away by such magical views, but the heart and soul of this restaurant is not the white sands and turquoise waters of Bunker Bay but the array of fresh locally sourced seasonal produce featured proudly on this Modern Australian menu.
For your dining pleasure, food and wine pairings have been carefully selected to complement the delicate flavours of each dish..
Our team’s commitment to service ensures that any special dietary requirements are accommodated and special occasions are celebrated here in a relaxed setting at Other Side of the Moon Restaurant.
Gorgeous sunset dining experience
There is no atmosphere for fine dining. Mismatched salt and pepper . Two pepper on one table. No napkin service. The same layout for breakfast as for dinner. Three wait staff given the same drink order three times prior to being told the beer ordered was no longer available. Waiter overheard apologising to three other tables about forgeti g something of their order.”so sorry it’s very busy tonight and I’ll get it now”. At least change it up for dinner with a candle on the table. The menu was great and the meal itself was perfect. However for a special occasion was disappointing. Bunker Bay is an expensive exercise.the breakfast spread is fantastic, the front of house and housekeeping brilliant, attentive and very much on the ball.
Unfortunately at the same time there was a huge group of loud conference visitors who ware not aware of anyone else, however staff ware fantastic Hahah was very accommodating and ready to move us to better location.
The food was absolutely beautiful and a great romantic setting to celebrate our anniversary
Enjoyed our meal
You don't have enough stars for us to Express the level of service we received. The level of service received merits 10 out of 5!!
The best blue fillet steak I have had in many years and my wife was equally impressed with her swordfish. Many congratulations to the chef.
Slightly disappointed that the menu was exactly the same as the bar menu at the Pullman Resort Bunker Bay... last time I came it was a totally different menu... But in saying that the Sweets are amazing!! Wish there were more Vegetarian Options...
Good friendly service from the wait staff but a let down from the kitchen. Food was under-cooked or overcooked depending on the dish and was unexciting. Not what we expected form a highly rated resort.
Excellent food and service. Tables nicely spread out
Food was very average. Duck was dry, arancini tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Pork belly fatty but over cooked underneath. Barramundi was inedible, smelt so poorly that we couldn’t even eat it. On a plus however the desserts were ready good.
Very disappointing dinner experience with my husband. We arrived for a 7pm booking and placed our meal orders by 7:10pm. Our meals didn’t arrive until 8:20pm. We were starving! By the time our meals did arrive my husband’s prawn linguini was under seasoned and only contained four very small prawns. My beef was cooked well but was served with very sad looking rocket which didn’t have any dressing. Overall disappointing experience and I wouldn’t return.
We were welcomed and seated. Starter came quite quickly but the mains took 45min. We had to chase it up. Both main dishes were too salty. We had better meals at cheaper hotels. We were not the only customers who were unhappy. Paying Bill took long because the cashier was dealing with another unhappy customer.
Food is not worth it. Taste is so plain. Service by the restaurant supervisor (female) was very warm. She's nice. The other guy (in suit) must be having a bad day; no smile, just serve.
We dined two nights over a busy weekend. The service was excellent and staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. We really enjoyed our meals, with great seafood and local beef, all delicious.
We dined at the Restaurant on a Thursday Night & the main meal (a Steak Dish) which my wife ordered was Cold when served to the table, we sent the meal back which meant I ate my meal while my wife waited for a new plate. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and dined again on Saturday evening, on this occasion my wife ordered the Soup & it was served Cold, again we sent it back and I ate my starter alone. We were not charged for the Soup, however it was very disappointing given reputation that the venue upholds.
We had booked the restaurant for a birthday celebration. In conjunction with the resort manager, in addition to the great meal, a lovely birthday cake was presented together with some macaroons, both were delicious. The chef came out to present the cake. Wonderful unexpected surprise.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere and beautiful food.
Food and service was one of the best we have had in WA and highly recommend Other Side of the Moon
Always love eating in the restaurant. The service is really good & a very relaxed atmosphere. Great staff too. Look forward to our next visit.
Great selection on the menu. Meal was most enjoyable and the Cream Brûlée for desert was exceptional.
Great service from staff and excellent quality for the meals we shared
Always excellent service was supported by varied menu. Our choices were so perfect on our first night we repeated them on our second. Recommend booking as this restaurant has always been busy any time we visit.
The food was exquisite and the service was really spot on and friendly. I would love to see the bar move away from plastic straws to sustainable and ocean friendly alternatives. Paper or recyclable bamboo straws would be forward thinking and in line with a more sustainable approach.
