About Opal Restaurant at Radstone Hotel
The Opal Restaurant and Bar at The Radstone has a open airy feel to it, with glass panels framing fantastic views of the clyde valley and surrounding countryside. The use of contrasting colours and neutral walls complete the vibrant atmosphere.
Lovely menu and great food. Waiting staff very good.
We eat here regularly and cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is outstanding, the service the same and the staff are always really friendly and helpful. My new favourite place to go
Great that you serve fresh fish (fish & chips), shame you can’t cook it nice. It came soggy and very pale with the few chips buried under the fish. Messy.
My second visit because I really enjoyed my previous one for my daughters birthday. This time it was for my husbands birthday. The staff are very professional, and the atmosphere is very nice. I will definitely be back.
Great food and excellent service.
My family and I had a lovely meal on Saturday, all staff were friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back! Thanks again!
Lovely place, great atmosphere and food is great
Excellent service. Great food. Value for money.
Very friendly staff attentive without being obstrusive food delicious Made a special night even more so
Although busy I found staff endeavoured to meeet any request as promptly as possible. As a coeliac I was pleasantly surprised by options available for my dietery needs. Overall a very enjoyable afternoon for my friends and I.
Great food, attentive staff, service 1st class, good value for money, would definitely recommend eating here
I am a regular customer at your establishment the food, service and atmosphere is always first class
The restaurant was busy with lunches and afternoon teas but we were shown to our table and supplied with tea very promptly. This meant that we had something to take up our time while we waited on the cake stand. The selection was very nice and there were plenty of tea refills.
Food was amazing. I thought it was pricey for lunch, Considering we had a starter between us. Two chicken dishes. I tea. 2 irb. Costed 43 pound for lunch. Plus side service and food first class.
Beautiful setting, decor is chic but also relaxing and staff were charming, very pleasant and efficient. A lovely afternoon tea with a wide selection and tea/coffee seemed to have limitless 'top ups'
All of our servers were very friendly and welcoming. Only minor comment was that it took a long time to get attention of anyone to get our bill and even longer to get them to come and take the card payment. But they were still lovely!
Food is good with varied menu in lovely surroundings with good service.
Great value, me and my husband enjoyed all 3 courses. Only slight complaint was that we were left waiting for the bill for quite a while and that the steak we ordered was not cooked to our preference, however it was still delicious.
Lovely food and excellent friendly service.
I get the impression it is under staffed. No issues with the professionalism of the staff just too busy for the amount of staff.
Had to send back 1 of the starters as cold. Given a dirty desert spoon. Really disappointed last few times been there now!
I found it a very strange experience at the bar to pay for my drink before a drink was poured, weird! My rhubarb crumble was odd, the rhubarb was superb but the crumble wasn't crumbly it was soft. My chicken breast and haggis was out of this world, super. Breakfast was lovely however porridge was to be ordered in advance but how do you order in advance as you do not see the menus until you arrive at the table. Service we felt was lackadaisical, we got served a starter when we didn't order anything, then we got served a desert after we had finished our desert.
