ON is a creation of Philippe Orrico following the launch of his first solo venture, Upper Modern Bistro in 2013.
With ON, Philippe is joined by three long-time friends and rising stars in the Hong Kong restaurant scene – General Manager and cheese master Jeremy Evrard (former director of restaurants at the Four Seasons Hong Kong, who was instrumental in the hotel’s Caprice restaurant securing three Michelin stars during his stewardship), Operations Manager & Sommelier Nicolas Deneux (former head sommelier at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong) and Head Barman Giancarlo Mancino (international mixologist and bar consultant of Otto e Mezzo and Il Milione fame).
AMAZING artichoke carpaccio, cavatelli with seafood sauce, and pigeon. Very impressed with the "house" champagne, and sommelier was great. Absolutely outstanding evening!
Love this place. Food is good but I’d go just to have the cheese board. We typically go for lunch and it’s usually quiet so hard to judge the atmosphere ... but we go for the food. A solid favourite. Great staff.
Great restaurant, Magical View and warm service
Cozy place to go for lunch or happy hour with good friends.
Food quality was excellent - the egg ravioli dish was particularly good.
Looks like a strange location from outside, but in fact its a marvellous place inside. Great for friends, business or even a romantic meal. Cheese selection is the special treat at the end.
Excellent services! We were in a hurry and requested speedy delivery of food ordered. Dishes were delivered promptly whilst presentation/food quality were not compromised.
the food can speed up a bit.
The food and drinks were absolutely outstanding. It was great to see the chef at work and we really appreciated him popping over to our table. Service was generally very good although there was conflicting information from different serving staff. When I asked for a glass of red wine with my food I was told it wasn't included in the package despite seeing red wine on other tables. When we were informed that drinks service was about to finish we were asked if we wanted a last glass of wine or champagne even though we were told the red wine wasn't included. It does state on the menu champagne and fine wine is available. Staff members were very attentive. It would be nice if bottled water was included in the price. We didn't enjoy the Panatone so much and thought it was a strange thing to be in a french pastry basket. All food that we chose absolutely amazing. Would certainly recommend to friends.
Perfect location and ambiance for a business lunch.
Great service from the French waiter and sommelier
They serve some classic French dishes with a contemporary twist, and every dish we had was delicious: hamachi carpaccio, La Saint Jacques, La Sole Meuniere, Le Gâteau au Chocolat and L’Ananas. They have an extensive wine list that features many outstanding French wines as well as fine selections from other major wine regions especially Italy and Spain. The staff were friendly and attentive.
It is unusual to findab establisment with the depth and sophistication that On Dining provides. Chef Phillipe and team constantly exceed expectations in both the 28th floor dining and 29th floor lounge.
Outstanding and imaginative food.
best option for Michelin Star lunch in Central. The Chef is a Grand Master!
My friend and I took the free flow champagne option during the lunch. I asked the receptionist on the phone when will this free-flow champagne end. She replied to me it will last until 3pm. We started the free flow at 12:15pm and when I asked the waitress to refill my glass at around 2:10pm, I was informed that the free-flow will last only 2 hours. We were all shocked. Being a Michelin one-started restaurant, you should make sure all of your staff are well-trained about your product and services. The waiter/waitress should inform every customer BEFORE starting the free-flow that the duration of the free flow and should also inform every customer 15 min before the free-flow service will end. If you pay more attention to every single detail, I am sure you will get more stars in the future. Best regards.
We came especially for the Lievre, which was superb. My starter of oysters and my wife’s venison pate were equally as good but, frankly, I’d eat at ON just for the cheeseboard. Also, I’ve not really commented on the wines before but the white and red Chateauneuf du Papes by the glass are excellent, as is the Riesling. Got to be my favourite restaurant in Hong Kong.
Service was rather slow and food is small portion.
The menu is good, the prawn in the butternut soup that day is a bit "flabby"; personally, the veal loin is too lean; all other dishes are delicious. The wine list is extensive and seems very reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant. Service is very friendly. Overall a great experience.
We had an early dinner on Friday night so understandable to have a big crowd with loud music pumping. Food was good and staff were friendly and responsive
I think the time to wait for the Coffee is so long... Almost need to wait for 30 mins. this is unbelievable even this is my third time to dine over here... however, I had made a request to make a birther wording on the dessert plate as the day is my sister's birthday. I felt a bit upset when the dessert was severed without the wording and candle. Really upset.. I cannot see how the restaurant take care customer's request.
Very good selection of wines. Food quality was a bit disappointing - I especially found the sauces too sweet but maybe that's the local preference. Service was the biggest issue - taking away my plate while I was still eating is totally unacceptable!
Probably the best French restaurant in Hong Kong. We had a great night and, although pricey, was well worth it!
Very nice set lunch
