ON is a creation of Philippe Orrico following the launch of his first solo venture, Upper Modern Bistro in 2013.
With ON, Philippe is joined by three long-time friends and rising stars in the Hong Kong restaurant scene – General Manager and cheese master Jeremy Evrard (former director of restaurants at the Four Seasons Hong Kong, who was instrumental in the hotel’s Caprice restaurant securing three Michelin stars during his stewardship), Operations Manager & Sommelier Nicolas Deneux (former head sommelier at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong) and Head Barman Giancarlo Mancino (international mixologist and bar consultant of Otto e Mezzo and Il Milione fame).

Too expensive for the value. The restaurant will close in 10 days. We can feel a global atmosphere of "end of a story", including in the cook...
Sadly after many enjoyable visits to your restaurant, I can no longer return. I see that everything has deteriorated from food to service. Such a shame - used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Hong Kong.
Food Quality is not up to standard!
I have been to many brunches across Hong Kong, and this has to be definitely one of the better ones. I honestly can't fault it. I would particularly like to highlight the service, which was impeccable.
We ordered one special set meal and one set of 3 courses. You some how managed for forget one order and tried to give us dessert before I got my noodle course. Unexpected and unacceptable. Mitchelin Star I think not Then you tried to make up by offering to plate the missed course for both of us, but we said we did not want that and that my wife was full but you still insisted on making an extra serving which was not eaten and was presumably thrown away. Very disappointed with the service, thank you for ruining our anniversary dinner!!
No Amex, really? Embarassing when I bring guests and i can t pay with my corporate Amex. This automatically puts this segment out of your client base.
We booked a table on-line planning to celebrate our wedding anniversary and expecting fine dinning on the 28th floor. Upon arrival the reception said it's fully booked and put us at the doorway close to the patio. Disappointed with crowds and noise surrounding us throughout the dinner. However, I must say the service were brilliant and the bartender offered us free drinks while we wait for our food. The atmosphere are generally wonderful and we definitely will go back to the 28th floor again. Cheers!
Good quality of the food, but portions were on the small side. Good selection of desserts - no signs to say what each dessert contains/is but staff members did come over to introduce the items.

Would expect more selection in menu
I went for the grand buffet on Sunday and it was an accidental decision when I found out that my reservation at another Michelin restaurant was mistaken. However, my experience at ON turned out to be phenomenal. The staff were friendly and professional. As one who is not that into cheese and almost knew nothing about cheese, I enjoyed the cheese platter recommended by Giancarlo, a nice and genial server. However, there were still something worth noticing. Unfortunately, my wagyu beef that day was overcooked. I asked for a medium one, but it was definitely a medium-well or even a well done one. And I told the server that I was allergic to alcohol. Fortunately, the Vodka Lime which was supposed to accompany the oyster was taken out, and I was excited to see what they had to compensate the flavour. To my disappointment, it was nothing, just a plain oyster which was actually not that fresh nor tasty. Although there are tiny mistakes mentioned above, I totally forgive the slips concerning the amiable atmosphere and the overall experience at the restaurant. I would definitely come again and seek something new. BTW the ONSEN egg was fantastic, sweet and pure, perfectly going along with the umami and earthy flavour of the shaved truffle. Quite to the point.

Great food and environment Friendly staff
Outstanding was the Foie Gras creme brullee, great to find it again, especially after it was removed from the UMB's menu. The Cod was lovely, the Pigeon was good, but could have been a bit more tender. Great cheese selection, La Noisette was tasty too, but presentation could be more beautiful. Wines were very good, the espresso was too small, average by taste and came without sugar on the side. Service overall was excellent, very attentive and friendly. We'll be back!
