A special night for us was let down by the lack of atmosphere and disappointing food.
Great service and great food and staff couldn’t have been more helpful for a surprise meal for 16 of us yesterday 😀

Restaurant was fairly empty and little atmosphere. Staff pleasant, food portions large but bland in taste and most dishes dry in texture. We all left a large portion of our food. so many better restaurants in stockton heath.

Quite frankly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Missing meals and the manageress Vicky being sat at the next booth treating it like an office, printer, laptop and bare feet out. Not once getting involved to resolve the situation, her excuse was it’s my day off. Never be back. All very amateurish.

We visited the Olive Tree on Saturday and had reserved the back area of the restaurant for a baby shower - it was the perfect venue. The food was excellent and 19 of us were all served at the same time with no issues. We could not fault the service and overall everyone had a great time. I would definitely visit here again and would recommend for a private event of around 20 people, it was perfect.

Came here on Sunday 31st, not for mother’s day in particular but chose to eat off the mother’s day set menu. Sat down at our table and ordered drinks straight away, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy maybe 12 tables in total but most people were already eating. 15 minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks, a shandy and a mocktail. When they eventually came the mocktakl turned out to be soda water with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint- which tasted awful and bland. We decided to order from the set menu and asked for a bottle of tap water to accompany the meal. We were mid way through our mains when I finally had to ask if the water was even coming. The starter of goats cheese bruschetta was diabolical, it was one tiny piece of bread with the driest crumblings of cheese on top accompanied by unwashed greens. Absolutely awful. A number of people around us had also ordeeed this from the set menu and one by one as it arrived they looked at each other as if to say ‘ where’s the rest of it’ We both ordered chicken souvlaki for mains which when it arrived we thought all can be forgiven this looks like a nice plate of food. Again though completely bland, no seasoning and the chicken was so dry I was forced to drink the so called mocktail just to get moisture into my mouth. However, the desserts were not at all bad- sticky toffee pudding and brownie were both lovely. The service was so terrible that we had to ask for anything we needed a good 10 minutes before we thought we would actually need it to arrive because the length of time receiving anything was painfully slow. We were asked what desserts we wanted before the mains had arrived and I think we asked three times for the bill before semi demanding someone bring over the card machine. A very very bland and simple 3 course meal for £20 which took us 2 hours to consume because of lengthy waits in between every single aspect of ordering and delivering. For such a lovely looking restaurant which has clearly had money spent on the unique decoration the taste and service completely let it down. 95% of the staff are young kids who don’t seem interested or actually motivated to ensure anyone gets what they ask for with any sort of haste. Unisex toilets are a bit unusual and quirky but not necessarily a negative, extremely steep stairs to get to them though. Don’t think we’ll be returning unfortunately, £60 down the drain for a meal with no atmosphere no music no friendly chatter from the staff and poorly cooked bland food.

I am very sorry for the experience you had on 31/03/19 This was our 1st Mother's Day and we know there was some issues that we have now investigated, your feedback regarding the food has been passed onto the Head Chef and your review helps us rectify these issues to improve oujr menu moving forwards, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed one of the 3 courses and this was passed on to our dessert chef. We would like to apologise for the service and waits you experienced, we did have some till issues o this day and caused us to have some orders not printing at the bar. From your review I have scheduled some training sessions with our newer members of the team to prevent this happening again. I will send a voucher via email to prove that this is not our usual standard of service and I do hope you will use it to give us a chance to fully rectify your disappointing visit. Having visited this restaurant before, I was looking forward to celebrating my friend’s birthday here after making the recommendation. Unfortunately, a series of poor events spoiled our evening and we left not wanting to return. Having been seated for 20 minutes, we had to chase to be given menus. A further 20 minutes passed and we again had to request to make a drinks order - of which one was completely forgotten and not brought until prompted later. When the main meals arrived, there was one which arrived out ten minutes later, when most people had almost finished. It had clearly been left in the oven by mistake and was burnt and tasteless. It then took 30 minutes after eating for the plates to be cleared. No tap water was brought after twice requesting, and it took 3 asks for the bill. When alerting a member of staff to the poor service, No apology was given, just a nod. I would always be understanding of when things don’t go quite right, but given the continuous nature, our experience was poor and the recommendation will no longer be made. This is a shame given the location, stylish interior and good menu.

Booked a meal for 2 people for a birthday celebration. Started came about 10 minutes after ordering which was great but we then Waited nearly 1 hour 20 minutes for our main meals Finally when they arrived you could tell most of it had been warmed up. We where never asked if the food was okay. We only got asked for drinks once. (Don’t think there was enough staff) Currently in the process of emailing a complaint.

Inexperienced staff- no personal skills. Not attentive. Lack of organisation. Wrong starters came out- then was asked if we wanted our main meals- but hadn’t even had our starters. Our main meals had clearly been sat under the heat waiting. So unfortunately the mains were dry and inedible. Manger was actually apologetic. A rare night out for my sister an I, we were disappointed!

There were 2 members of staff for a restaurant that was quite busy for 7 pm. Food was sent back due to it being just warm, charged full price for 2 for 1 cocktails, service, obviously was a shambles as too few staff. The girl waitress did remain calm though, under pressure.

Service was very slow. 15 minutes to take a drinks order and we had to take our own bill to the til to pay. I had the vegan option and it was inedible towards the end of my plate. Don't get me wrong it was very tasty but I think that it has a sesame seed filling that is way too dry. I couldn't chew my second parcel. Could do with either a tweak to the filling or a sauce.

Gorgeous restaurant. Fab food with authentic Greek flavours. All staff were friendly just not very well organised which want service didn't flow as it should and it felt like staff didn't have specific zones so everyone thought everyone else was doing the checking in and ordering. Other than that, a lovely evening with a smile. Polish up the service and you'll smash it.

The wait for our food order was exceptionally long - an hour. Given the restaurant was very quiet with only 4 other tables seated. We all ordered from the pre-fixe lunch menu so there should be no excuse for such delayed service. The food when it did arrive however was delicious.
