About Oliveto at Haddington House
Oliveto is an award winning restaurant and part of Haddington House hotel which is located overlooking the beautiful Dun Laoghaire bay (20 minutes from Dublin City by Dart or car).
Oliveto draws inspiration from regional Italy, from Southern Puglia all the way up to Piedmont, with plenty of Spanish and French influences as well. Quality sourcing combined with skilled cooking highlights the special virtues of our produce without the need for complexity. In addition, Oliveto has a separate wood fired pizza kitchen where we cook artisan pizza and slow roast meats/fish and vegetables.
Our dining room has panoramic views over Dun Laoghaire bay and seats up to 100 people at any one sitting. In addition, Oliveto offers private dining in a beautifully appointed space with sea views, called the Library Bar. Both spaces compliment a house Gin Bar in our lobby and a full Garden Bar with a dedicated BBQ kitchen for Spring/Summer days.
Reservations are advised but we do our utmost to accommodate walk-ins as best we can. We hope to see you soon.
Excellent dining experience. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Great view!
Excellent culinary experience. Food was first class and very reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. Refreshing to have a wine list that was comprehensive and wasn’t obnoxiously expensive. Kids loved the Pizza too. Definitely be back.
Thank you for another great experience at Oliveto!
Really enjoyed an adult family occasion. Very good food, acceptable pricing and a stunning view of the harbour.
Amazing pizza, excellent waitress, decent coffee, lovely view. Room acoustics can get a bit oppressive when it's so busy but not much they can do about that I guess.
Excellent food, great service & ambiance, very good range of wine, beers & cocktails. The monkfish taglionlimi is exceptional.
Unfortunately the veggies and salami starter platter has been removed from the menu, which is a total shame, since it was Oliveto's iconic starter. Also the mushroom arancini have gone, what a pity :( !! The starter we got was cod croquettes with roasted cauliflower, but there was very little cauliflower, I literally only had 2 tiny bits (about 1 cm big), which were delicious, but way too little :( . The leek and potato soup was too salty. Unateable. The place was very noisy, despite the fact there weren't many full tables. Overall, what still makes want to come is the amazing view from the restaurant, but the food is a bit of a let down.
The service we received was excellent and the food was super. The stratticella starter was one of the best things I have ever eaten!
Staff very welcoming on arrival. It was a lunch reservation. I had tuna which was superb - perfectly done. It was followed by an excellent tiramisu and good espresso. I fully recommend Oliveto - it is a favourite lunch destination for me
Had a bowl of veal bolognese and a glass of red wine. Simple. Delicious. Really enjoyed. We come a lot and it’s great every time
We go here quite often for work occasions or payday lunches. Food is amazing, friendly and efficient service. The views are gorgeous also.
Lovely friendly atmosphere and staff. Delicious pizza. If anything blighting was a tad dark but other than thst we’ll be back
We were very pleased with our afternoon lunch.
A massive thanks to Tom and Derek and the Team for the wonderful table and Victor for the terrific service! Johnny
Fabulous restaurant. Food was amazing. Service was top notch.
Excellent staff and excellent food!
We had a wonderful family meal with superb service and delicious food. The beautiful view over the harbour on a sunny clear evening made for a perfect setting!
Always great! Great food, great service, great ambience - love the place!!!
The setting and views speak for themselves but the quality of food & service was amazing. Great variety on the lunch menu & all of the party were extremely happy with their choices. I will be returning.
What a pity nice food, beautiful setting, was spoiled by really poor service. The problem was just not enough staff, and the delays in every aspect of the meal made for great frustration and annoyance.I really would find it hard to recommend this restaurant, unless I was assured the level of service had improved a hundred fold.
Food was great although sorry to see the seafood pasta with black squid ink is no longer on the menu- please bring it back ! Our waiter was excellent.
Lovely staff Very family friendly Lovely food
Hello, I have been in the beer garden a few times in the summer and the gas heaters never seem to be working, I was thinking of the haddinton as a possible wedding venue, as the beer garden would be a highlight, but this really put me off, as I wouldn’t want my guests to be cold
