Food was lovely, not rushed at all !!
Really good festive meal. Beautiful presentation and better than many more expensive meals weve had. Our waiter Jack was lovely. Really friendly, polite and attentive. Well done all.
Thanks for a great dinner in theses trying times. Service was exceptional. You have the perfect staff very difficult to find. TheChef put on a great spread, well presented picture on a plate, difficult to make a lamb shank look like fine dining? Very good value for money! Once again many thanks
It is our second visit here this year and we have had consistently excellent service from the Staff. Even during the challenges that COVID-19 poses for everyone, everything is handled in a smooth and efficient manner. Well done!
Good service and food quality
As usual lovely food beautiful venue Always love coming here
Had dinner and breakfast here and both were lovely
A very pleasant hotel, staff all very friendly and helpful. Food and service at the restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend a stay here.
What an amazing experience, from start to finish we received top class service, food and drinks. The team went to extra lengths after finding out that it was our wedding anniversary and made a special evening that little bit more special. The team are a true credit to the company.
Prefer the normal serve yourself options but food was still good now it’s table service only.
Friendly staff, quick service and amazing food. We only had the roast dinner main course, big portion and delicious!
Staff were excellent but did miss the carvery experience due to covid restrictions.
Again, very good service. Food was excellent and we will return
Luke was a fantastic waiter polite friendly and fabulous! Food was great also
Disappointed the carvery is gone. Husband loved his meal but im a veggie disappointing choice when you only have 1 to choose from especially when you dont like goats cheese or aubergine!! The cheesy chips were nice in the sports bar though!
Food very expensive for the portions and not a lot of choice, shame as it's a lovely restaurant. Also, breakfast was very disappointing. I felt sorry for the staff as they were quite clearly stretched with the extra Covid restrictions as we waited half an hour for our toast, but the quality of the cooked breakfast was terrible to say it's usually worth £15. I don't think we'll be staying again unfortunately.
Not enough choice, now it’s not a help yourself carvery it’s just plated up and portions not very big, I think they should bring you some extra stuffing/mini sausages etc but they don’t. We didn’t any Cali cheese either but I saw others did. Service was VERY slow!
We felt very safe throughout the building. Very Covid compliant. Will visit again. Thank you.
Air con was too harsh !
A lovely roast carvery on Sunday with my mum. Everything as it should be. Nice food great service.
Very unorganised, food came out wrong to begin with, we asked for extra gravy which never turned up and we ordered our drinks when we got there and they turned up as we were finishing our food
Went for afternoon tea which was a pretty poor experience all in all. The sandwich selection and quantity was disappointing. The cakes reminded us of the ones in Iceland for a £1 a box but the scones and jam did make up some way for the let down of the rest - they were lovely. We were given one teapot and small jug of milk for 4 people and the coffee drinker was just poured one of the very small cups. It would be so much better to leave a pot of coffee and a couple of teapots and one of hot water on the table. You don’t want to have to keep asking for things. The atmosphere was non existent as apart from one lone diner, we were the only other table there. That’s not necessarily the fault of the restaurant as I understand bookings will be down at present. Staff were all nice and friendly. The hand sanitiser had run out on entry to the restaurant which was not good. I would not recommend to friends nor would I rebook again myself but it was a nice catch up with friends!
Not much atmosphere due to nobody else having afternoon tea in the same room
Lovely food and really well presented, served and cooked in a friendly atmosphere
