OKLAVA is a contemporary Turkish restaurant jointly operated by Selin Kiazim and Laura Christie. In Turkish an ‘oklava’ is a traditional rolling pin which is used to make breads, pastries and pides all of which feature on our menu alongside Selin’s modern take on Turkish-Cypriot fare. Our open kitchen act as a theatre stage where guests can sit around the bar and spectate as the chefs use a stone oven and real charcoal grill, known as a mangal in Turkish to prepare their meals.
The food is complemented by a wine list focused on wines of Turkey. The ethos of the list is that wines are selected for their quality first and geographical origin second, we are proud to be showcasing some fantastic wines from the most exciting producers of one of the oldest wine growing regions of the world.
Both Laura and Selin are inspired by the London restaurant scene, flavours from travels and from fellow chefs and restaurateurs. The aim of Oklava is to push traditional boundaries and pull Turkish cuisine out of the kebab shop and onto the London restaurant scene.

Love Oklava. Our second visit.The food tastes amazing and the service is second to none. Lots of information on the ingredients etc. Very relaxing lunch. Will be back. Drink prices a little steep but I understand that it is London prices.

I dined here with my son and nephew and we had a delicious meal. I have a second home in Northern Cyprus and I am therefore familiar with the cuisine. This was traditional TRNC food with a twist and it was delicious. Succulent homey basted helllim was amazing and the charred cabbage! How could this humble veg be so transformed? Tasty well presented food and attentive and top notch friendly service from the (Canadian/Japanese ) waiter. It’s not destination dining as a small functional space but the food and service worth a visit we will return.

Excellent dining experience all round, especially service. Will be back for dates/dining with friends. Note: no special treatment for birthdays. It's no biggie, but just a cheeky candle in the Kunefe would have topped the evening off perfectly.

We loved it. Food was fab, staff were lovely. The place has a nice chilled feel.
We tried the set menu and everything was delicious. There was a lot of food and a lot of variety as well. The only issue was the timing which was slightly off. But considering how busy the place was it was understandable and the staff apologized.

Great delicious food but the portions are way too big when ordering the 7 course tasting menu. By course 3 we were completely full. The restaurant is known as a Turkish tapas but there is nothing of tapas in the size of the dishes.
Great food and service. The cauliflower and lacahman was amazing. The chef was great at explaining the food as we were sat at the counter.
