Delicious food .. Iced plum wine perfect... service , attentive.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful staff and a good price! What's not to love. I'll be back again soon. Thanks
Best Restaurant in Hackney - if you haven't been yet book a table and go have a brilliant time. I booked the large table for colleagues leaving do. We were so well looked after that by the time we were half-way through we were already planning to have our Christmas party there. Great service, food, drink - excellent menu. I'm going back this evening, it's my top recommendation to all friends, family and tourists asking for cool places to go.
Everything was great! Will definitely be back!
Great atmosphere and delicious food.
Initial greeting was quite off by the male Australian member of staff, he just stood facing the bar on his phone and then begrudgingly turned around and sat us at a table. Food was nice but the service was cold, If I'm planning on spending money on a celebratory dinner for two I'd expect service to match the dining experience, sadly it didn't and for that reason I probably won't visit again.
Our waitress was brilliant. So helpful. Will definitely return
Great food! Was overbooked so had to wait a little while for our table, but was definitely worth it and staff very friendly!
Cool place and delicious food <3
I called before to ask if it would be possible to book a table outside for 8.15pm, and it was my friend's birthday, I was told that I could book on line and request to be outside in the comments. When we got there our reserved table was a small bench with low stools inside by window but there was no space to sit down at all due to another customer sitting facing the other way. We asked about sitting outside and were told (as if it was a great favour rather than what we'd originally requested) we could have a table outside when those outside left. We asked when we thought that might be (as we didn't know when they had arrived) and they just said "we don't know". We waited half an hour outside and when a table finally became available, 2 other people came out and said they had also been told they could have the first table. They had booked an outside table for 8pm. Luckily some other customers saw the problem and said they would hurry up and leave so we could all sit down. There was no apology or any acknowledgment that this was a bit annoying. Things we asked for such as a menu while we waited for the table were just forgotten. Then we ordered and about 5 mins after that I thought maybe it would be nice to have a miso soup while I waited, assuming that was something quick, so I got up and asked at the counter. 15 mins later nothing and I was then worried it would come at the same time as my main course, which would be silly as it was miso ramen. I got up and mentioned this and the waitress said 'well you can have the miso soup now if you like!' as if this was a great favour. However it did not come, and then the miso ramen came. It looked delicious and obviously I didn't then want to have a side of miso soup - so I asked to cancel the soup (it was a different waitress). She was quite cross and didn't wait to listen why - just said who took your order and walked off. One of the waiters was really nice but clearly worked off his feet. In general if you think about the kind of restaurant that will hand you the menu and talk you through the specials (at Okko there are specials on a board inside but mentioning them wouldn't really have fitted with the vibe!) it's actually laughable.
We had a brilliant dinner here on Saturday - can't wait to visit again soon!
I called up twice to reserve a table and was put on hold for so long I hung up. I was told that the floor was the priority and didn't feel like a valued customer. I feel this is a shame as the food is amazing!
Lovely relaxed lunchtime meal. Food excellent. Beautifully presented. Good job we had plenty of time though as service was a bit slow. Woudln't do for a worktime lunchbreak.
Great food and cocktails
The food is excellent and the service is top notch.
The waitress that served us was extremely nice and efficient! Made our lunch even better! Sorry I didn’t catch her name, young black lady.
Lovely dinner great night sorry we arrived late
The food was absolutely divine
Lovely venue, this is certainly our favourite Japanese restaurant in east and north london, great atmosphere not pretentious but lovely dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff and service, would certainly recommend.
Food mostly great as always although some of the specials had run out by early evening and some dishes were a bit thrown together- sushi rolls were falling apart and some flavours just weren’t there. Service lacking as usual.
Really great food, great staff. We'll be back!
Poor service. Called to say the table was ready but it wasn't. Very slow bringing out food and drinks. Missed half my order and were unapologetic. Then were very rude when we said we wouldn't pay the service charge. However food was really nice. Unfortunately I wouldn't go back purely due to the service which is a shame.
Really nice tuna poke bowl and sushi
Best Japanese in London
Great food and service. Will definitely be going back!
