About Ocean Bar & Grill
Ocean Bar & Grill is located on the Bray seafront near the Dart Station with stunning views of the horizon and Bray Head. Housed in CIE's old 'Buffet Bar', layers of renovation have been stripped away to reveal original features such as a Brazilian Mahogany parquet floor and exposed brick walls. Deep purple velvet curtains and atmospheric lighting complement the atmosphere and makes for a comfortable and relaxing dining experience.
Casual dining at its best, the standard of food is well above the usual expectation of bar food in terms of sourcing, cooking and presentation and in a smart restaurant setting. Our services team are friendly, efficient and accommodating and can talk you through the day's specials. There is a wide and varied choice of modern dishes, many available as either a starter or main course. Our menu changes on a regular basis so there is always something new to try when you visit.
We had a great experience, food was amazing and the staff were so nice and friendly
Lovely food, staff and setting. Thanks so much for arranging the birthday dessert for us.
food is good but a little bit of salty. excellent staff. pleasant atmosphere .
Very friendly service, food was excellent and chef made me something that was not on the menu! Delighted with everything from the moment I stepped in to the moment I stepped out.
Excellent meal. Lemon Chicken is to die for. Such a friendly spot for Sunday lunch with the family. Well done 👍
Staff are always very nice. Food was lovely.
Great atmosphere, food, and staff
Big gang of us looked after really well by Louise.
Always an enjoyable experience in Ocean!
Hi. We ordered 4 rib eye steaks two medium rare two medium. All came over cooked. Three were returned. I could not be bothered to send mine back. The three steaks that were replaced were cooked properly however there were very tough and have to digest. Not one of the four steaks were fully eaten. There definely seems to be a major problem with the quality of the steaks and their cooking. My own opinion is that the steaks were frozen and microwaved and then put on a pan. One of the replacement steaks was ordered rare and there was not a sign of blood from the steak. All steaks were certainly not fresh. Perhaps a new supplier is needed as steaks purchased from super value are better quality than what was served up. The whole dinner experience was extremely disappointing as a family occasion was spoiled by everyone eating their main courses at different times and the quality of the food and cooking not acceptable. If you are charging €26 for a rib eye steak then you should be able to back it up with quality product. €26 is expensive compared to €30 for a rib eye steak in Marco Pierre Whites Steakhouse Grill in Dawson Street. There is no comparison between the two, yet the price difference is only €4. Overall I would rate the food at 1 put of 10. There dining experience at 1 out of 10, and the chances of returning for dinner 1 out of 10.
Very pleasant setting - food excellent and good value. Staff very attentive and charming.
very good service and value
Really enjoyed our lunch, service was excellent food was delicious nothing bad to say at all
Very pleasant evening, new menu very nice
The ambiance was lovely. We enjoyed the night and the food is not too bad. The service that we get is superb and would definitely go back.
very nice as usual with lovely service. The one thing you could look at; is the baked bean portion size!! Ummm - could you get it any smaller?!
Fabulous meal for 4 adults, thoroughly enjoyed by all. The risotto in particular was divine, I just wish I had it as a main
It was ok. The menu is incredibly similar to the Butler & something restaurant down the read and on the beachfront. The arquiteture is very nice and the menu and the service are ok but nothing really stands out so I am unlikely to go back (but then I am hardly in the city, so I would only good back if it was memorable).
Really enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere, service and food was superb. Could not fault it in anyway.
Family friendly - oldest to the youngest - making it an easy choice
Delicious breakfast on the warm sunny terrace. Service was excellent - efficient and very friendly. Only downside was the terrace could have been a little cleaner.
Excellent experience , excellent food, excellentatmosphere. What more is there to be said.
Great food and relaxed, friendly service.
The floor staff are fantastic. Always good humored and efficient We have never been disappointed.
Staff were so helpful and friendly, will definitely be returning
