Tucked away is the striking 2 AA Rosette restaurant, Cloisters, where guests can enjoy a menu of classic British dishes that have been re-imagined with a modern twist. An abundance of period features includes arched ceilings, intricate stone carvings and original mullioned windows that offer spectacular views across the Surrey countryside.
Serving a seasonal menu of traditional British favourites enhanced with a contemporary touch, Chef is passionate about sourcing the finest local ingredients wherever possible; allowing their natural freshness and flavour to shine through.
The Bar adjoins Cloisters restaurant, making it an ideal place for a pre-dinner cocktail or late night digestif. With large armchairs, a fireplace and clear outlook over the rolling countryside, guests are invited to truly relax and kick off their shoes.
We had a wonderful evening at the Cloisters Restaurant celebrating our first wedding anniversary (we were married at Nutfield Priory also) - the staff were so thoughtful and gave us 2 glasses of bubbles and a decorative dessert plate. The food was incredible, just delicious rich flavours and portion sizes were perfect (top marks to the chef especially for the fillet of beef from the festive menu). Thank you so much for looking after us so well, we had a wonderful stay
would of liked the fires to be lit, not that it was cold , just not many places left with real fires adds to the ambience . Bar man was very good made are xmas girls lunch extra special, the ladies serving in the dining room very thoughtful and nothing too much trouble, we will be back xx
Beautiful venue and good service. Sadly let down by average food. Im sad to say that have had better sandwiches from Pret and M&S on a lunch run. It was obvious that margarine was used instead of real butter. The tea coffee and champagne was delicious though.
Brilliant afternoon tea and service from all
Excellent lovely waitress. She was relatively new - she has been there only about a month and was amazing but we didn’t catch her name. Unfortunately my praise stops there. Food average. Atmosphere flat. Everything a bit old and shabby really. Overpriced.
Lovely afternoon tea!
One of the worst afternoon teas that I have ever had!! Looked awful, badly presented, sandwiches were nonexistent, teas were cold, certainly not good value for money even at the discounted price. Have had much nicer with better presentation in garden centres. Very disappointing, didn't complaine as I was out with a relative after not seeing them for 15yrs so didn't want to ruin our reunion also what made it worse is that we both had our weddings at the Nutfield Priory!
Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I was disappointed to read the feedback provided about your recent experience and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you in more detail. I would be grateful if you could provide me with a convenient time to call. My direct email address is [email protected] Many thanks Chantelle
Its such a shame you don't offer the 2 for 1 offer at weekends, or we would be back much more often!
Excellent all round.
We are thrilled you enjoyed your visit to us and hope to see you again soon.
Our afternoon tea was lovely. The food was delicious and the staff attentive. The Xmas decorations had just gone up, so everywhere looked very festive. We took advantage of a 2 for 1 offer, which made the experience a bargain.
Thank you for your time taken to leave your lovely review. We are delighted tat you were well looked after and do hope to see you again soon, the big tree will be going up soon!
My friend who isn't allowed certain foods due to a bone marrow transplant was concerned about options but your chef came out and had a chat with her and organised food she was allowed. All the staff were lovely and the food sublime.
Disappointed we were not in the main restaurant for tea ... we were in the library and the table was too low and not really large enough for 8 to sit round ... cakes a bit disappointing...
A wonderful afternoon tea experience .This was a celebration for my dad's recent 89th birthday. My emails regarding dietary requirements were answered promptly and the staff did everything they could to ensure we had a lovely afternoon.Everyone particularly loved the smoked salmon bagels.Thank you - we will be back.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review. It is always delightful to hear when we have helped in creating a memorable experience especially for such a significant birthday. We do hope to see you all again soon. Kind regards, Dawn
A very pleasurable experience. thank you
We had an excellent afternoon tea to celebrate my girlfriends birthday - we were very surprised when the waiter brought out a personally decorated plate which my friend a happy birthday - it was a lovely touch - thank you. We also found the mix of savouries and cakes excellent.
Despite having a dining confirmation in your system and received by email, it turned out that you didn't serve lunch on that date. This was a special occasion to celebrate my mother's birthday, needless to say the disappointment was huge! What I'm struggling with is that you could have easily called to check the booking and let me know that you don't serve lunch on Saturday, as you had our booking in the system and you send me a confirmation email! Very upset.
My husband and I had a very enjoyable relaxing meal in the Cloisters restaurant, starting with drinks in the bar. The bar staff and restaurant manager were delightful and friendly and accommodated requests for drinks not on the menu very happily. The food was good quality and reasonable amounts. The drinks with the meal took a bit of time to come but it didn't detract too much from the evening overall. We had paid for some of dinner with our room rate so it didn't seem too bad when the bill came! Fabulous setting and lovely views over the valley, especially with fireworks going off everywhere.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review and we are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience with us. I am sorry your drinks were delayed but I guess having the fireworks to look at helped, that must have been an amazing addition to what is already a fantastic vista. We do hope to welcome you again soon Kind regards, Dawn
Fantastic experience from start to finish, staff were all attentive and helpful, atmosphere was great and the food was amazing, will be recommending to everyone.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, it is always nice to hear and to share with the team. We hope to see you (& all of your friends & family!) again soon. Kind regards, Dawn
Nice environment, slightly marred by flickering emergency exit sign. Nice food, slightly marred by rather inattentive service.
We were celebrating a birthday and it was something we had saved up for both financially and with time as we struggle to find a good time for all of us to be able to share. The did was extremely disappointing with an extra special mention of the vegan option that was truly terrible, I really can't imagine that anyone had actually tasted their creation. The service was lovely until we were unceremoniously given the bill with no option to perhaps sit elsewhere and continue our afternoon.
We had a brilliant bridesmaid afternoon tea on Saturday. The food was delicious and so much we had to take 3 boxes home. The tea was also lovely (loose leaf)! The staff were great also. Only slight downfall was we ran out of clotted cream and absolutely no one was arrived to replenish and when the waitress finally arrived, we were too full to eat anymore scones. Also there were slight marks on the table linen when we arrived but no big deal. Absolutely loved it!
Thank you so much for your review. I am sorry the clotted cream was short but pleased to hear you had a great time with your bridesmaids.
The service was brilliant for our afternoon tea, where the staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy. The hotel and restaurant is beautiful, with stunning views and excellent food.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, we hope to see you again soon.
A fabulous afternoon with very attentive and helpful staff - thank you
Lovely to hear!
Great service and lovely afternoon tea!
Great to hear!
Service was terrible Its our go to place when we want to feel special It was our anniversary dinner 24 years married and they tried to sit us in the restaurant as soon as we arrived but we asked to sit in the lounge. We asked for two glasses of champagne which arrived with no finesse, just two glasses and menus were requested but when our glasses were empty we finally saw another member of staff serving another table so we asked her for the menus again. She brought them and then took our order and led us to the table and we explained we had felt ignored and although it was her first night she promised to look after us but she disappeared after that and although the food was delicious EVERY time we had to ask for our glasses to be refilled, water or champagne and the only mention of our anniversary for some chocolate writing served with our desserts. What has happened? Even calling us a taxi home seemed too much bother. You ruined our night and we wouldn't come back no matter what you promise. I wasn't going to complain but you asked
