About Number 90 Bar & Kitchen
Number 90 Bar and Kitchen is a unique and stunning venue within a converted warehouse. Our menu focus mainly on burgers but we serve beautiful roasts on Sundays and a brunch menu on Saturdays.
Situated on the canal with an outside terrace, high ceilings and a lot of character through its hand-crafted wooden decor.
Reserved a table for lunch before seeing the Foo Fighters and our group were really impressed by the food and the great atmosphere - would definitely book again!
perfect place pre concert/football or just for a lazy afternoon. Nice laid back atmosphere, good music and great burgers
Burgers were delicious as were the sweet potato fries. The service was great, the waitresses friendly and chatty.
I had my birthday party here and had a great time. The music changed from outside to inside at random times tho
Thank you, had a great birthday drinks, would really recommend for a group!
Meat was good, everything else was okay. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
I visited this venue the day of the Hackney Half marathon this year, so before reading any further please do bear in mind that this was an extremely busy day. The booking process was smooth, knowing it would be a busy day I booked ahead and the online form was simple enough. On arrival it was pandemonium. The queue at the bar was four people deep, nobody was there to greet those who had booked to eat, so we had to locate our own table where we proceeded to wait for five minutes - nobody came to serve us. I would have gone straight to the bar to order, however, I saw on this place's website that they request diners bear with them and to patiently wait for a server. So we waited for five more minutes before I got up to ask a member of staff if anyone could come and take our order. They asked me to sit down again... so we waited some more. Another member of my party went to ask - same answer. So we waited some more (there is a pattern emerging). Eventually, after getting our own menus, I managed to get the waitress' attention and finally she asked if we knew what we wanted (?!) before coming over to take our order. There was plenty of choice on the menu (despite there being no roasts available), so we ordered five burgers, sides and drinks. The drinks were abysmally slow in arriving - not ideal for the member of our party who had actually run the half marathon. Between being asked not to go to the bar and having to wait so long for drinks, she actually started to feel unwell. Eventually, these came (only one of two white wine spritzers had lemonade in it...) and eventually our food followed. Cue more fun and games as we asked the waiter who brought the food over for some cutlery and napkins... twice... he sadly never brought us these which meant one person had to resort to eating his side dish of broccoli with the skewer that was served in his burger for goodness sake! The sides were also agonisingly slow to follow the mains out and to be honest, the burgers were all quite bland and overcooked. We asked for the bill and when it came five years later (eventually followed by my card used to open the tab... might have been more efficient to bring those two together as I needed this to pay), we were really astonished to see that an optional service charge had been added. I know this is common practice but it just felt like a real insult to injury after the ordeal we had just endured. Ordinarily, having received such shocking service I would ask for this to be taken off, however not willing to gamble on how long it would take a new bill to prepared, we begrudgingly paid this amount. Our waitress did apologise for the slow service... after we had paid. She told us that a few people hadn't turned up for shifts. Although I totally sympathise, I do wish she had said something at the start of the meal, rather than make an excuse at the end once they had our money. All in all, I was very disappointed with my visit to Number 90 and am even a little embarrassed to have brought the runner of our party here for her celebratory meal.
Top afternoon by the canal. The Hackney Half does seem to take them by surprise each year though...
Very friendly staff and really good service.
Always excellent. Burgers are to die for and service both efficient and friendly. Been about half a dozen times now and absolutely my go to place before attending West Ham games. Decent, civilised crowd without any of the lager skulling buffoons that frequent other nearby places on match days
Fun venue, good selection of beers and the burgers are very tasty.
Really nice evening but few items on menu missing. I would defo come again especially when the weather gets nice.
Who'd ine in Westfield when they could come here?
Good place on the river. Very loud inside. Service slow but only because it was so busy. Great location.
It was a nice bar it was out of our way so can’t say we will be back soon but haven’t got anything negative to say.
It took several times of us asking if we could order our food before this actually took place. The food was all tasty and good value, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We were shocked at the price of soft drinks though - £4 for an orange and eliminate seems absolutely crazy.
Great venue for birthday drinks, good food, music, drinks, smoking area, etc
Excellent burgers. Great service with a smile!

Amazing venue. Great Sunday roast and very reasonably priced.
Great atmosphere and great staff.
Service was slow and the food was average. There was chewing gum stuck to our table when we arrived.
Thank you to Ivan and all of the team for going above and beyond and making it a really special night.
Sunday Roast was amazing and very impressed it such a big plate of food came from such a small kitchen. Will return for the events as you have a great calendar and look forward to experiencing the space in the Summer.
